    I hate to say this, but this was the worst diecast replica I've ever seen. I can't believe Greenlight is responsible for this travesty. The major problems are the paintjob and weather.

    The white over-spray is clearly shown in their stock promo photos, so I would keep it if was in your shoes. It's not an Auto Art, and you're not whining no need to be sorry :) It's still a cool model.

      I saw it on the Mecum Auction edition. I didn't realize it was gonna be on the Detroit version as well. It seems silly that they added an extra step to the detailing (which made the car 200x's worse than it should've been)

    I do like it, despite some inaccuracies. But the white spots? That's crazy.

    • @PrinceofMacedonVlogs
      @PrinceofMacedonVlogs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it's like they went out of their way to sabotage their own model

    Watch the movie! You can clearly see the antenna is located on the back quarter panel top just like the model. It makes one want to question why is Sean’s located on the front fender.

    • @PrinceofMacedonVlogs
      @PrinceofMacedonVlogs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      "watch the movie?" dude....we've all see the movie, man. I know where the antennae goes in the movie. This diecast is supposed to be a copy of Sean's car. After 40+ years, changes do occur. They even used his license plate so they made mistakes in replicating the "unrestored" version. Or what really happened was they were too lazy (hence the terrible paintjob). After 40+ years, they had to make a lot of changes to this car. And again, I remember what the movie car looks like. I was commenting on the fact that Greenlight did a terrible job making a copy of Sean's car. And finally, a professional authenticated this car. There have been a lot of fakes in the past, but this one was absolutely authenticated by professionals. Even Ford company checked this car out. It's a legit car from the movie. How much more proof do you need?

    Why didn't you open the trunk and the mustang 68's did come with a 390 CID, 335, HP .

    The first thing i noticed was the driver side vent. The original had mostly grey discoloration . I saw that in the auction. I live near the Mecum auction and took several photos of it. Bad remake. Greenlight wow.

    • @PrinceofMacedonVlogs
      @PrinceofMacedonVlogs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, terrible weathering. The auction was so amazing. I wanted a keepsake to remember the auction/event. I guess I'll always remember it for the wrong reasons now lol

    to be honest if i had a disapointment of a car like that i would just take the chassis off and replace the body with a premade body

      True. But for the outrageous price they charge for this, it shouldn't need anymore work

    In my personal opinion if anyone is into collecting diecast don’t but green light , the only thing green light cars are good for is “Diorama scenes” that’s about it , not worth the money

  • @ToyotaGuy1971
    @ToyotaGuy1971 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    At least you could sell it and recover some of your money... If it wasn't for all that white speckling, it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe some mineral spirits on a cue-tip swab can remove them? Maybe it's not worth the effort?

      I just wanted a nice memento to remember the event. I'll just keep it like it is for now until I figure out what I can do. Maybe I can trade with someone who has the clean-looking version in the future

    Man Green light cars are nothing but garbage the detail is there but they cheapen out on a lot of things Take a look at there Dodge Challengers there is no TRUE HEMI at all they are all 440 big blocks with wires going to the valve covers to make it look like a HEMI but yet the engines are 6-packs lol they make NO SENSE. I certainly hope Auto World or someone else does a way better Job with this

    • @PrinceofMacedonVlogs
      @PrinceofMacedonVlogs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you're right about that! I'll take a look at the Challengers too. Auto Art has such a good reputation. Maybe they'll tackle this car in the near-future. I hope so

    I would send it back , mainly because they stole the likeness of the owners car and every time someone buys one from greenlight its like they stole something from the owner as well , not saying he is hurting for money or anything but it is just the principal of the thing , its not right , plus its an awful representation of the car , if you decided to burn it you've got a thumbs up from me lol

    • @PrinceofMacedonVlogs
      @PrinceofMacedonVlogs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with everything you said! :D Or maybe I can find out what kind of car the CEO of Greenlight drives, and then copy it (right down the license plate), and then start selling it LOL
