Beautiful, thanks for sharing! I always found the Eagle cockpit tub more "realistic" than the one that the Hawk has (the Hawk's inward looking main windows make little sense and the tiny "beak" looks a bit goofy to me) but over the years I got to like the Hawk's overall design, and the white and orange colours make it quite attractive. I always wondered why the Hawk never had a landing gear on the show (I guess production cost/time constrains), but I love the fact that you added one. I'd be very interested to see the more detailed one in your 1/48 scale Hawk (and the rest of the 1/48th built of course).
Thanks for the feedback. From what I understand with regard to the production pressures, the models were made for the shots they had, and the Hawk never had to land, so there wasn't any real reason to build them. Interestingly, the Swift and SuperSwift both had landing gear that didn't retract, so.. heh yeah. Continuity for design really wasn't the primary focus for that show. :) The 1/48 is going to be one of the kits I get to relatively soon. I'm starting a big diorama build that is going to take a bit, and expect the Hawk to be in the pipeline soon. Thanks!
I literally just purchased this kit, your timing is impeccable bro
The 'Verse works in mysterious waaayyysss! Enjoy it, it really is fun. I'd love to see how you get on! Thanks!!
