She couldn't overcome the logic of "ruling it out," works every time
That feeling of gratitude you get when you help people must feel amazing.
When I was about 12 or so, I replaced the pedals on my BMX bike--Then offered my old pedals to a kid who lived about a mile down the road. The pedals that were on his bike were fine, but I convinced him that my old pedals would be better. We spent hours trying to remove the pedals off of his bike--wrenches, hammers--then hacksaws, then sawzalls and drills. At the end of the day we replaced one of his pedals with my old pedal, but his other pedal had been reduced to just a mangled shard of gnarled metal that wouldn't come off the bike. He left the remaining pedal at my house when he limped his bike home that evening. We had agreed that he would bring his bike back over and we would finish the job, but I never saw him again. Looking back, I'm pretty sure we were trying to unscrew the pedal in a counter-clockwise direction when we should have been trying to turn it clockwise. I tell that story here, because its usually one simple miscalculation that ruins our best made plans. I think that whole "solar energy thing" would probably have worked for Jake Evans if he had moved the glasses closer, not further from the battery that he was trying to charge.

I feel so bad for Highway Man. In a time when people are too busy on their phones to stop and help one another, he does. His lesson of fixing the phone by making it completely inoperable goes unappreciated, even though the wisdom of it was obvious when Cecily stopped relying on the phone and actually walked up the road to find the station which was so close all along.

I admit i have none of the skills of Highwayman when it comes to fixing things, but I do live around quite a few who do. They keep my busy diagnosing, and reversing whatever they did.
His methods are a little unconventional but he always makes it work

My kid put his in the microwave, it caught fire We were almost too embarrassed to show Apple so we could get a new one
So unfortunate. When she was looking for the twig I'm certain I saw a piece of amber, and her dress had a strip of wool on the lining. That's a classic old school charging station, which she could've used to jump the car so she could charge her phone and call AAA.
I love the show Henry but it's such a pain to watch from the second-hand embarrassment.

The series needs to be longer in order to further expand on how the Highwayman is actually a serial killer. He doesn't even know it himself, but after his attempts at servitude - people seem to die. Eventually he clues in on it and tries to hide it, but he can't cause he's facked in the head, but also angelic and helpful. This is the true Highwayman, a typical urban dweller with a kink in psychology. You're welcome!
