    Thanks for the video. I've had one for a couple of seasons now and absolutely love it. At first I was worried about the rubberized stock as well but have found no issues with dirt etc. The cost also made me handle it with kid gloves at first but it has proven itself to be one of my most used air rifles for hunting and target; quite rugged. It's not particularly pellet fussy but the best tradeoff I found for hunting accuracy and lethality (.177) was the H&N Barracuda Hunter at 850 fps. As you alluded to, the loading is quite cumbersome, but a minor issue. I got in the habit of applying the safety as soon as I cock to reload (before inserting the new magazine). Be sure the pellets you load don't clip and get deformed as the magazine rotates (check seating carefully). This gun is perfect with a Hawke Airmax 4-16. The only issue I had was a leak caused by tiny metal chips fouling the valve at the air seal, so may be a good idea to clean this area well. Good luck!

      Thank you for that information. I will certainly keep those points in mind.. I have swapped out the mounts for a one piece and the scope for a Vector Optics Veyron 4-16x44 AO IR. Mine is in .22 and I have gone with 15.89g Hades although I do have some lighter H&N Barracuda. The Hades seem to be very accurate down at the Range I have just joined and I've got an Airforce One Chrono coming this week to run some tests so fingers crossed.

    Look up HW100 tuning I sent my hw110kt there to be tuned because eventually it will lose power they also changed the magazine lever to the left and I can now adjust the power myself they did a fantastic job well worth the money I now don't have a good rifle I have a superb one.!!

      Yes I have heard that too about the HW110. I have two friends who have had the same gun for three years and thankfully they have had no issues. I hope I am one of the lucky ones too

      Mine lost power a few months after I bought it so I sent it to them to sort out all the problems weihrauch don't or hull cartridge don't do.

      Sorry to hear that. I checked mine over the Chrono yesterday just before I filmed my last video and thankfully it is still producing 11.3-11.5 ftlbs six months on... so fingers crossed

    You can get handles for the side lever on Ebay they just slide on they're a good fit ideal for shooting at night.

    It does look the business. Will it be good for back garden pesting? Pigeons in particular? It would need to be accurate to around 50-60m I’d think. Cheers.

    • @yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746
      @yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Dougie. Thank you for the comment. Im not sure if you are an experienced shooter or not so please forgive me if you are. The HW110 will take pigeons no problem especially with good shot placement, however, if it was me I would not engage live quarry at that range. 50/60 meters would be a little extreme for a sub 12ftlb rifle in my personal opinion. The energy of the pellet would be seriously reduced by the time it reaches the target and so may not do the job as intended. To ensure a quick clean and humane kill I would not go much beyond 35/40 meters. Preferably 25/30. It wouldn't take much of a wind to affect the impact point at 50/60 meters, perhaps causing an injury rather than a kill, or miss completely. I would also be mindful of an adequate and safe back stop in case you do miss and would definitely not try to take a pigeon that is sitting up in a tree in a garden. If you are shooting from a slightly elevated position and the bird is on the ground it would be much safer.
      The HW110 is perfectly capable of quite good groups on paper targets at 50 meters in calm conditions if it is zeroed for that range, you know how many clicks on the turret you need or you have the elevation "aim off" down to a tee.
      The Hw110 is capable of very good accuracy at some slightly longer ranges if you have a quality scope and get lots of practice . Once you get to know your rifle it will become apparent quite quickly what both you and the rifle are capable of.
      One final thing. Please be fully conversant with the current general licence governing the shooting of "Pest species" before you engage in any kind of pest control, to stay within the law. Its better to be safe than sorry.
      Here is a link to the general licence.
      www.gov.uk/government/collections/general-licences-for-wildlife-management
      I hope this helps. Happy shooting 😊

      @@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 Hope this helps? This is invaluable my friend. I am a complete novice, I haven’t even purchased a rifle yet. The HW110 looks a good mid range weapon that I can afford, obviously there will be extras, scope, maybe a bipod, etc, etc. Thanks for the link to the pest species, I’m sure that will help. Perhaps I’ll join a club, see what they’re doing before I purchase?
      Anyway, I enjoy your channel and I really appreciate your expert advice. Thanks again.
      Cheers.

      Hi there No problem.... Yes it does. Its only a sticker. just carefully moisten it (Probably best to remove the stock first) and peel it off. There will be some glue residue but easily cleaned off with isopropyl alcohol. If you haven't got any simple hand sanitiser will do the job as most are up to 70% alcohol... Hope this helps :)

      Had a power issue with mine , also the air cylinder wobbles on it . The power issue was sorted after it went back but the air cylinder still wobbles, although it doesn't seem to affect shooting the gun. Thinking of trading it in for the HW 100. Shame because it's a cracking little rifle.

    • @yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746
      @yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question.. The bipod is a "Harris" type and there are a couple of ways to mount it. Firstly, you should have received a small picatiny type rail in the box. This attaches to the two small holes on the underside of the fore end you can then attach a bipod to that. Or, On the underside of the fore end you will see two allen type screws that hold the stock on. You remove the front most one and attach the bipod using that hole with a screw provided with the bipod.. Hope this helps
