Bought my hw110 in December, from a hunting perspective it's perfection! It has not missed a beat, I actually prefer it over the hw100. It'd alot quieter, lighter + better balanced. It'd a hell of a rifle for the price! Buy one
@@daveward4896 there really isn't much in them but the weight. I had the ultimate sporter laminated one. I thought it was more consistent and less pellet fussy than the HW's but too heavy for me which was a shame. I then bought an FX Wildcat in .177 which was ace but only 8 shots per mag but twice the shots per fill. Hope I didn't bore you with all that but whichever of the above mentioned guns you won't go wrong in MY opinion 😀👍👍
I only have the BSA R10 SE TH with a Nikko Stirling Diamond FFP 4-16 x 44 on top, but I'm perfectly happy with it. I did once have a Weihrauch HW100K in 0.22 until some nameless &*^%$ burgled my house and made away with that and my old BSA R10 Mk 2 0.177. I was quite happy with the Weihrauch, too. BSA and Weihrauch both make some superb rifles.
Nice video Lloyd. The reason for the Picatinny rail is the "dovetail" was designed for 3/4" pencil scopes, not the 1", 30mm and 34mm monstrosities of today. Some of these tacticool scopes are pushing 2lbs 50mm and even 56mm objectives. I see the Picatinny as a great addition and long overdue. Same reason Ruger 10/22 moved to drilled/tapped for Picatinny.
is the picatiny rail plastic like the block on the 110? if so maybe dovetails were too delicate of a mounting system for plastic thats why they went with picatiny?
On the "GRAND SCALE" of things I would not trust you to measure the ingredients of a fairy cake lol, But on a brighter note it was a good episode in the life and struggle of Lloyd from BAR, gawd save us.

The scope rail is plastic so an 11mm would be a bit delicate. Also the American market is more familiar with weaver bases. As a side note- Burris makes various ring heights with plastic inserts which "gimbal" about in the rings- this protects your incredibly expensive scopes from damage as you switch them from one arm to another. The overall reason for weaver vs. dovetail is the extra adge givin to scope manufacturers. This way these hi tech scopes are suitable for powder burners aswell It’s the universal language I guess you could say
Hope all airguns go over to Picatiny it means I don't have to change mounts when I swap my NV setup and scopes from my other rifle types to my air rifles !

On a PCP, it matters little whether you use dovetail or weaver, but on powerful breakbarrels, I'm pretty sure a scope stays in place on weaver - and it certainly does not on dovetail. Even with an added stop block, the scope on my Gamo Replay-10 Magnum IGT worked its way backward, the stop block's pin "cutting" through the receiver like a very dull knife. Why on a PCP, then? For compatibility with new breakbarrels. The days of the dovetail are gone.
Returning to Air rifles after 9 years, need a bit of update from you guys, Been offered R10 MK2 500 KNICKER, OR A ONE YEAR OLD HW 100 650 KNICKER, OR A 110 new 650 knicker, what I use to own where Hw 35, 80,90 and my baby Theoben Rapid 7 mk2,
Sorry if I sound thick been a while since I had a rife but if you put a full scope block on the hw100 would it not lock things in place and align the two blocks up, I watched a Sniper Video saying it helps with rigidity and harmonics of the barrel.... coming for a hw100 Laminated soon I`ll call fist to make sure you have one in, best wishes Barry.
Yes it would Barry although I have never suffered from the issue and never had a complaint in the shop about alignment or movement. Simplest solution is put a 1pce mount on it to bridge the gap :)
Thanks Lloyd, keep up the good work. I only mentioned the regulator situation as I had just read it in Terry Doe's Editors foreword in AGW. However HW's website even mention that the 110 is regulated ??? When's the new studio coming on line ? Matt W :)
Good Honest reporting, got both HW110 and HW100 both have their place in our community, both very accurate, but do not like the mag loading lever, which makes loading the mag fiddly. Keep up the good reviews, leave the scales at home
I always enjoy your videos Lloyd. However Airgun World May 2016 stated that the HW110 wasn't regulated....it has a self regulating valve. Apparently Hans Weihrauch insisted that this info be published as AGW in their previous review had incorrectly stated that the HW110 was regulated. I hope this helps :)
Hi Matt. The Hw100 has a shim stack style regulator . I checked with the importer Hull Cartridge and they watched the video and said Weihrauch call it an Air measuring system, which is also known as an air regulator or regulator. They didn't feel I had mis-represented the system in any way and are happy for my description to stand. I will though contact Weihrauch directly and ask them if I should make any alterations to my description
Flip a coin , its that close., I've had a Regal and loved it ,just bought an R10Se and its also superb . Don't know which I prefer to be honest , whichever you buy you will be a happy man .
Same again Rory ... I think the three guns have almost the same performance. The main differences are handling, looks and shot capacity. You just need to handle them all and I think you would soon work out which you prefer :)
I used to like to use a reflex red dot for rabbit and they were all 20mm picrail a good quality red dot is pricy but fantastic hunt with it and they are so small and light it is no different than just iron sights. this hw110 make me want to take up shooting again I started looking at airgun content again after a long break and the only gun that has held my interst is this one i don't know why it is plastic coated wood would a purely synthetetic stock be better for weight next generation perhaps
I think the reason that the 110 has moved over to picatinny rail is that the teeth on the picatinny are larger to compensate for plastic not been as strong . The standard rail is metal alloy and stronger so the track that the mounts sit in doesn't have to be big , imagine a traditional track mount breach made from polymer the moment you over tighten your mounts you will damage the hole rifle .
Very interesting video. I'm new to air gunning and videos like yours help me in deciding on what PCP's to consider. Since I live in the USA power is a very important to me as is shot count. Weight is also of importance. It appears what I've seen in the video I'm favoring the BSA R 10 SE.
Unlikely for the foreseeable future Ray . Sales of the Hw110 are quite slow and I don't think there will be enough around to justify making one for quite a while .
Hi Lloyd, just got a query mate, can the Hw110 be decocked ? I've owned this rifle for some time now and I've always dry fired when unloading. But I don't want to attempt to decock and possibly do damage unless I'm 100% sure so I thought I'd ask someone with a wide spectrum of knowledge on these subjects.
You can de-cock the Hw110 ( without the mag in it otherwise you will double load ) Push the cocking lever about half way forward and pull the trigger ...voila !
Question for Lloyd at Blackpool Air Rifles. I'm in the US and seriously thinking about getting into the sport of air rifles. I'm very interested in the BSA R 10 MK 2 in peppered stock I saw you review. Does BSA export a higher power rifle for the US market or are all their guns the low power version like regulated by the UK. I want a gun made by BSA in England. Thanks Lloyd
Hi Bob. BSA make the R10 ( Now the SE version which has replaced the Mk2) in high power version , it produces 30ft/lb in .22 . I'm fairly sure your US dealers who deal with BSA will either have them or be able to get them easy enough :)
Thanks Lloyd. I really appreciate your timely responses to my questions. Love your videos. I find them very interesting and informative. Keep them coming.
All the Hw100's are based on the same action . There is a short and a long version but ultimately they all perform almost identically apart from the weight and number of shots .. They are all good :)
Great review as always Lloyd, having had the "movement" issues on the 100, I would really like to try the 110, but that said, I like the look of the R10 se, saving pennies time I guess.
Ahh, so it was you ! Hard choice Robert. As you can tell from the video, I was in two minds myself which I'd buy . The SE is lovely though , so I'd rather like both .
Another good honest review by someone who knows whats his talking about.well done to the team at bar.

hw-100 every time, i have an r10 too but the hw is my fav !
The standard rail is metal alloy and stronger so the track that the mounts sit in doesn't have to be big , imagine a traditional track mount breach made from polymer the moment you over tighten your mounts you will damage the hole rifle .
how much the retail price? and it is available here in united state? if so where i can buy it or order it online?
The Hw100 is £645 in UK , not sure price in the US but if you google you will find stockists for sure :)
ok Lloyd great vid as usual can you tell me if you have had any accuracy feedback from people you have sold the 110 to
Only one person so far, he also has a Hw100 and says he hasn't noticed any difference, they are both " more accurate than I am "
Very interesting video. I'm new to air gunning and videos like yours help me in deciding on what PCP's to consider. Since I live in the USA power is a very important to me as is shot count. Weight is also of importance. It appears what I've seen in the video I'm favoring the BSA R 10 SE.
I bought an R10Se after I did the video, beautiful gun, you won't regret it Bob :)
I much appreciate the reply. Thank you.
What about this 3 guns shooting compared? Against each other
will there be a bullpup kit for hw110
Unlikely for the foreseeable future Ray . Sales of the Hw110 are quite slow and I don't think there will be enough around to justify making one for quite a while .
Actually ...sales have really picked up on the Hw110 . I will ask Craftsman Vit if he is thinking about making one
Nice video mate...But your camera man needs to zoom in from time to time . BTW BSA all the way .
Yes you are right . We are going to use a separate camera for the close ups. Coming soon .Nice trumpet by the way :)
Very informative. Cheers.
Still glad i got the HW100KT . My son got a Walther RM8 and he now wishes he got the HW100. Its just chalk and cheese.
can l ask what is the psi on the hw110. l understand it is around 11.5 is it possible to get one at 6psi. thanks
They are set around 11-11.3ft/lb . The UK importer doesn't have the 6ft/lb versions but I'm sure they could special order one from Weihrauch :)
Maybe picatinny for the US market
It’s the polymer that dictates the scope rail ,,11mm would be flimsy in context to a picatinny rail.
Cheers Bob :)
Great gun nice dog cheers.
Hi,Lloyd,110 and 100,which one you recommend?many thanks
100 is better, but 110 still very good.
thank you Lloyd 😊
Which hw100? I just look and is the 100 se ,sk...etc special editions? Please help!
Lol. Yea I gets ya.
Robert Bond put a one piece mount on your 100
i will stick with my original hw100 which i have bullpupped and my matador :) great review bud, nice to know what my guns weighs in fluid ozs lol :)
Yep, my 100 is the best regular use air rifle I've ever seen.
You cant go wrong with the hw100.
Nice video very informative
Am going off script a bit here, But does anyone know of a collapsible stock for the BSA ultra multishot ? Thankyou.
Never seen one sorry.
thanks Lloyd appreciate the reply
is it better hw100 or hw100. because I want to buy but confused
Same gun !. If you mean Hw100K or Hw100 then difference is K is shorter, lighter but less shots.
Sorri.. hw100 or hw110
Lloyd n out of all the three of them, using your own money, which would you buy mate?
Hw100 :)
