Befriended By A Wild Crow
On a sunny afternoon, Mark was visited by what we believe to be a young Carrion Crow. It allowed him to feed it and even stroke it. Over the next couple of days it became more confident and started playing with toys and ping pong balls. It tolerates others ok but has taken a liking to mark. We think this crow may have been hand reared and then released because of how it showed very little fear from the outset. It returns three or four times a day and stays for several hours each time before flying off when its had enough. It obviously still likes its alone time..

12g Shotgun Issues
มุมมอง 115ปีที่แล้ว
Hi, This video was filmed several years ago. I don't own this shotgun any longer (or any for that matter ) but I was having some real problems with patterning. It just would not shoot consistently At the time I refused to use it on live quarry because I did not want the added risk of the potential wounding and suffering an inaccurate shot may cause.

This is a video I made some years ago. It tells of my late dads experience day we bought for him as a birthday gift. As he was a locomotive fireman in his younger years he was over the moon.

A quick review of my new night vision gear. First impressions of this nifty little unit are promising. Looking forward to getting out after the bunnies although sightings have been few and far between lately. They are very wary on my permissions so hopefully the Pard will give me an advantage..

Revisiting an old hobby from many years ago. Perhaps not something we will feature on this channel very often unless there is an interest from viewers but I thought I would share it non the less. It brought back some memories that`s for sure

Hello all. Just a short outing to my shooting club. The main reason for todays visit was to zero a scope on my HW110. It didn't take long so I had the chance for have some trigger time with the CZ455 Varmint Thumbhole. What a lovely smooth and accurate rifle it is. See ya`ll next time
AGT Vixen part 2

I thought I would try the AGT Vixen out at a little further range. 25 yards will H&N Barracuda 14.66 grain pellets and 15.89 grain Hades. The gun has not settled in yet but early tests indicate it prefers the Barracudas over the Hades. Watch this space...

Hornsea can be quite a productive venue in the right conditions. Particularly at night in the winter. A six hour session in the summer is todays video. A total of 11 fish between the three of us, not all caught on camera unfortunately but an enjoyable days fishing was had by all.
Dan Wesson C02 Revolver Update
มุมมอง 2042 ปีที่แล้ว
In my last video I said this replica revolver was not built for accuracy. However, after having had some practice with it I feel I may have been a little hasty. Sure it wont win any Olympic medals but it seems much more capable of producing some fair groups than I first thought.

Crap sound mate
I own the sme gun, you need the multi loader which makes life easier
The sounds like the tale of a person who bought a used gun
I've got one, and it's nice, apart from the finish on the cylinder, which is pretty rough.
Mine came with a silencer. Did you get sorted ?
@@seanwilson471 yep sorted 👌
Sorry I had not seen the earlier video with the new longer cylinder obstructing the silencer.
If the bipod rotates then can it not be rotated to access the top mag.....
Mine arrived today :) Although I'd read the numbers on the weight (2.4kg for the long version), when feeling it in hand with the scope on, I couldn't believe how light it was. Hopefully get it zeroed in properly tomorrow and I'll be up and running.
It's quite funny that some people have actually shot this chronograph and knackered it up 😂😂.. just brought one
Yeah I did too, thats why I mentioned it 🤣
I seen in the reviews for it on uttings ,people giving 1 star because they shot the thing and didn't work anymore. The unit is definitely designed to take a clip ,but to take it down that's hilarious 😂😂😂
Great work lads
Love ye olde deep digger dan
Hi can you tell me where I can buy a laser designator do you have the contact number thanks
@@migsy2728 hi. Ebay has them but I got mine from Vector Air online
@@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 OK thanks
Hiya I enjoyed the video! And now i want one! 😂 i can only find the same gun but called norica not mossberg. Is it the same gun? Thanks 🇬🇧
@@danshorthouse I think they will be pretty much the same yeah
@@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 thanks for the reply mate! Would you consider selling yours? Thanks 🇬🇧
@@danshorthouse I sold mine some time ago now , I was running out of space in the safe :)

Is this just an ordinary crow 🐦⬛, or is there a specific name for this species of crow ?
@@markshen3280 Hi. We think it's a Carrion Crow
touching video and music to go with it. I was curious what food it was eating off your finger and saw you mention it was minced rabbit meat. Very cool to see the crow playing in the yard with toys!
Good review- does the bipod have a stud for a sling?
Hi ..The bipod has a ring to attach a sling but the rifle doesn't have a stud at the butt end. single point slings or ones with a loop for the butt end would probably work best
Love it ❤
👍
just a lil birb
Hi just brought my first boat same as your project. ‘ no nothing about em really’ just want something to plod about the river on ‘ anyway it has no floor at the back so just wanted to know what I can use to board it out thanks Dan
Hi there.. I would use good quality Marine Ply for the floor and a solid treated hardwood for the Stringers. Hope this helps :)
Please don't feed birds salty foods.
Hi, thanks for your comments and watching the video. The stuff in the plastic bag was 100% wild rabbit meat minced, The banana peel was something it dragged out of a bin bag beside the bin and seemed to enjoy playing with it. Although they are naturally Omnivores and will eat almost anything, we were careful to only give it things it could find naturally in the wild, apart from some wild bird food bought from a store(and mincing the rabbit of course) Thanks again and have a great day>
@@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 Hi, thanks for answer, I thought it was bacon! Well done :)
Happy birb = happy mark = happy vid = people happy Respect
What other options are there, with regards legal cover, that people can recommend please?
I'd recommend any vixen owners to get a sabre tactical picatinny extension. Not cheap but a really great addition imo.
I've just got the one rifle..only just got back into air gunning....brought one of these, the new sp version....and the pain in my neck is unreal.....it feels like I have to go right over the cheek piece....just to see into the pard fully.....its on a AA s510 ultimate sporter regulated.....I've tried adjustment in every way.....nothing seems to work.....anyone else had this problem?
Does it feel as if you are having to stretch your neck to align your eye with the PARD?
Great job and extremely practical 👏
Great shooting! I just picked one of these up. Slight correction to your information. I believe the IR range is 200m not 300m as stated in the video.
Does it really have a true 4" rifled barrel? As the 6" only has 2.5. LOVE the review,
Not sure if I'm honest. Definitely rifled though
I have one also, and in the process of breaking it in (about 2,000 plus dry fires to smoothen out the mechanism), and even though I was lubing it the trigger spring eventually broke. So I had to buy a spring kit from ASG because the individual replacement trigger springs were sold out, and shipping ($30) brought the total to over USD 75 for just a spring.
What if you bought a new gun?
I like how you did the first side but end and it didn't work out so you showed don't worry it's just paint, redo it........ that is a true art.....,
Hi. Great vid. I would agree, it's primarily a night scope, and for comfort probably move the day scope around to fit? I tend to only use mine in the garden at night, we back onto fields and when it rains hard, yes there is a raty problem which comes every few months. So I don't bother moving scopes around from day position. Just to give advice to anyone, on my TX200HC (springer), the 3-9 x 50 has seen better days, the addon works fine but consistently shoots a mil low on night setting whatever I do. Remember that the knob nearest adjusts the dioptre to the screen, the other knob needs to focus on the reticule. The target focus is your scope. For day use my dioptre adjusts are pretty well screwed out anyway and IR will focus in a completely different place in a day sight. So if you have a scope with no parallax or dioptre, it will disappoint (it's a different wavelength), I pack the bayonet with the tape so the collar is very snug under the main tube as well, makes no difference. I am used to this and just shoot a mil high at night, it's probably had a ding or two. On my other one, day with the Pard, night with the Pard and day sight makes no difference at all on the zero, but it is a much newer scope and hasn't yet been subjected to years of abuse. I do have a supplementary IR torch that takes 18650's and also a visible torch which takes the same so charge in pairs anyway. I love the fact you can just use this as a thermal spotting scope as well to watch the critters, even in moon light with the torch off is really very good. All in all, these are pretty wicked things. Love mine.
Thanks Yorkshire Outdoorsman. We had a thing in the garden the other day but it was a bit chilly. I got mine out off scope and friends with no interest in shooting at all could see that bats, the badgers, some deer, and the little critters I leave alone (like field mice) that run out and take some of the dropped bird food and run away like they stole it? They are fun things even if you don't shoot.
Jesus man you are shaking like a shitting dog!!!!!!
This is all you need from a review video. Thanks!
Many thanks for those kind words
I am a month away from getting one ,I do like the short ,was there any reason you went for the long ? I was told with air rifles barrel length dont really make much difference to accuracy? ,sorry, being an ex power burner shooter length is better ? And are you still enjoying the Vixen?
HI there. I`ve been shooting air guns for I guess about 40 years now, and in my experience I would say that barrel length does have some influence. Particularly in muzzle velocity. We are not talking huge amounts here of course.. sub 12 air rifles after all. Accuracy... well different people will have a varied opinion on that subject. I personally I chose the long kind of automatically. I have always had better results from a standard length barrel. and I like to look of it if I`m honest😁 I love my Vixen. I have fitted the metal foregrip and an AG-43 pistol grip. I am waiting for a carbon fibre barrel shroud too. I think that with the Vixen, Long or short is merely a matter of personal preference. They are both extremely good looking and excellent performing rifles 👍
@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 I know what you are saying 👍
@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 also I do like the short as I can shoot from my pickup cab without worrying about length, just got to remember to open the window lol had a m8 take his window out once
I have just bought a vixen short because of my shooting in a confined space I e. In a hide. It is a brilliant rifle and the accuracy is superb . I have two other rifles, both Brococks and I love them as well but the vixen just said come and try me . Hooked 😅 👍👍
@malcolmdonnison3987 cool ,I prefer the short as I also want to be able to shoot it from my pick up cab 👍
Pardon my ignorance ive set my scope ,but do you have to reset your scopes when the PARD is put on ?
No not at all the PARD technically just looking at what you would be looking at with your eye. No need for re zero
@@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 Thanks for that i'l try again tomorrow it worked fine off my scopes tonight see what happens when i put it on my scopes
Still cant see anything at night apart from a grainy screen i can see quite good in the dark but when i place it on my scopes nothing but a grainy screen the instruction manual was a waste of time ,will try again after watching your vids thanks
I think what you are saying is that the PARD is working as it should hand held, but has an issue when attached to a scope? If this is the case I would ask Is the scope on its own working correctly? What size objective lens is the scope you are using? and does the PARD function as requested in daylight?
@@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 Ive set the pard to colour had it on B&W BEFORE ITS SET OK NOW I THINK HAND HELD just have to try it on my rifle my rifle sights are zero'd correctly just checked them all shots almos in the bullseye im a bit new to all this nightg stuff thanks for the help
Not tried the PARD on the gun in daylight will do after
Seems ok now i think the adjuster underneath seemed to have lost some of its tension seems ok now
@@casper1240 that's good news. It's a great little unit even though I have actually moved on to the PARD DS35LRF now ....this hobby is costing me a small fortune 😁
Which 007V would be better 850mm or 940mm ?
Hey there. Thanks for watching. I personally prefer the 850nm IR illuminator, for two reasons. Firstly, with sub 12 airguns 850 is more than enough for the distances I will be shooting over. Secondly, the 940 will inevitably use more battery power and deplete the battery quicker. It`s just my own personal choice and opinion... Hope this helps..
WOW, The precision of your gun is amazing.. Is it a sniper airsoft rifle?
No it's an air rifle
Thought it was illegal to shoot human type targets on home office ranges
So did I...at first.. not illegal as such. That is to say there is nothing in current legislation. but frowned upon...PC gone bonkers. Mind you, I didn't see anymore of those in the racks when I went last week.
@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746 I had loads of FIG 11 targets and we got stopped using them in the club so I binned them 😩
Not illegal at all .my local range sells the fig 11 targets and they are very popular 👍
@malcolmdonnison3987 strange ,this was about 15 years ago ,might have just been the range we was using, and to be fair, it was very clicky and ran by idiots
Many thanks for the video, I didn't need to move my scope to obtain good results. My scope's normal eye relief is 90-100mm so even with the PARD fitted and my face pressed snuggly against the rubber eye cup it was still comfortable to use. However, if you ware spectacles that might be uncomfortable. In your recording I noticed you had black "vignetting" in the corners, I found this could be removed by finding the "sweet spot" for the mount on the ocular bell, moving it back and forwards until a full image was shown on the recordings, hope this helps, Cheers

The only Machine you will ever need x Terry Herbert found the Staffordshire Hoard with a Matal Detector that cost £2.50 from a car boot sale.
Another fact that they won,t tell you is all sizes only have 2.5 inch inner barrel!
It’s not a Micro USB Port on the top it’s a USB-C
is it easy to fly?
Hi there. It Is a 4 channel model, elevator, rudder, and ailerons. so a degree of good co-ordination is required. It is however a good stable model providing it is set up and balanced well. It is light weight and as such not fond of overly windy conditions. Its fairly hardy and can withstand heavy landings as long as the wings are not hitting a tree LOL....Overall I would say it is a great beginner model as well as great fun for the more experienced model pilot.
thanks!@@yorkshireoutdoorsmen2746
I own this gun as well, I used to own the real DW 715 .357 and this air pistol version is the same size and weight as the real gun! The cylinder release is accurate to real Dan Wesson revolvers
Thank you for the comment. That is interesting information. I Had an idea it may be but wasn't sure. So its great to have confirmation from someone who knows.. Thanks again and have a great day..
