What’s the obsession with a guy in a combat role? It doesn’t indicate anything about his maturity it only indicates how superficial she is. That want is only ego related and to how manly/macho that role is perceived by her and how she believes others perceive it. The real recommendation should be don’t be superficial and then people won’t “fool” you with such inconsequential nonsense. Look at a guy for what he really is and try to really get to know him. don’t come with useless preconceived notions and illusions about what your perfect Israeli guy should be and you’ll be automatically immune to him trying to forcibly fit into that picture. Coming with a checklist of any kind is a sure fire way to be disappointed or worse end up with the worst guy for you because him checking those boxes could lead you to believe he’s someone he’s not. It’s okay to want things even if they are superficial but at least recognize them as superficial and that too will go a long way into helping you not be fooled. Also don’t use the word “Jobnick” that’s a very derogatory word for someone who gave three years of his life serving his country which is much more than she probably did. The army needs people in all kinds of roles not just combatants and most roles have much to offer in terms of experience and maturity.
