    Lots of fun. Thanks for sharing. I begin my life in the Bahamas very soon. Bought a place on the canal in Freeport (Fortune Bay). Will be bringing my 42' Chris Craft Commander (1973 under refit now) down from Virginia in spring 2021. Can't wait!

    Happy birthday late young lady.... LOL... I've heard that cats and boats go together like wine and cheese. One thing for sure with a cat on board y'all never have a mouse or rat problem...

      Thanks! I know we joke about the cats, but if we ever felt like one needed a home and wouldn’t lose their minds on a boat, we would definitely take one in.

    You could have chucked your sender unit in the kettle all hooked up, when it boils, read the gauge for calibration, mark your boiling point on the gauge face. Watch it rise, if it hesitates, chuck it. I know this is a bit late, but might help in the future. Isn't live music just the best? Nice talking. Fair seas.

    • @SearchingforCShels
      @SearchingforCShels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a great tip on testing the sender Barry. Have never heard that before. Thanks! 😎👍

    I've got to say, that was a huge hunk missing from the head gasket. She must have chewed it. How in the hell did that happen? Did George say much about it? Well done with the diving, I passed mine in 1979.
    Fair seas, C Shel.

    • @SearchingforCShels
      @SearchingforCShels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We actually don't know how it happened. Everything seemed pretty normal from the gauges. Unless the gauge stuck and was overheating. George only said we were lucky. lol

    I know how frustrating it is when something goes wrong on a boat. I'm glad you guys were able to resolve the issues and get underway again. Did I understand correctly that is was a fuel pump that failed? If so, you guys were spared a great expense, so it'd be a double whammy 👍

    • @SearchingforCShels
      @SearchingforCShels  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well the fuel pump was a secondary problem. The initial one, which we revealed in the last episode, was the blown head gasket.

    • @SearchingforCShels

    • @SearchingforCShels
      @SearchingforCShels  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We are going to put out a yearly cost video in the near future that will include this. However, just for you, we will tell you that we spent over $10,000 to get the head gasket fixed, and replacing the fuel pump. Those 3208 fuel pump are expensive.
