Anthony Simmons I agree his comment was ignorant, but gm sales are not doing good, that’s kinda why they havnt and will not repay American taxpayers for the bailout money they received
I always liked these trucks, I own a 94 Chevy Silverado K-1500 X-Cab Z71 Indigo Blue Exterior Paint, Grey interior, 350 L05-K TBI, 4:10 rear axle posi, with 315k on the clock. Put a dual exhaust, narrow roller rockers 1.6 3/8, headers, performance intake, electric fans, Stage 2 chip, Transmission shift kit, and soon a Holley 670 cfm. It feels like I'm driving a muscle car with its power and sound, but yet comfy and roomy inside the cab. I recommend buying one, and these trucks are the most longest lasting trucks on the road, I had no troubles at all, easy to work on, and lots of fun, it's one of GMs dirty secrets...a indestructible trucks, "LIKE A ROCK!"
I have a 95 the same color with a tan leather interior, and every option available that year. My dad did an LS block swap and had a shift kit fabricated so it would shift more solidly when towing. The clear coat is shot, but the truck is in very nice shape.
My dad had a dark green truck just like that one. He polished it and kept clean in the garage. Up fortunately he sold it because his best friend showed him a jeep and he sold the gmc. To this day I am saving money for this truck and I'm only 15
I've got a 97 z71 that my grandpa gave me. 120k, black with the red interior. No longer a daily driver. Now it lives a life of ease. It gets driven to work on friday... sometimes haha.
@@gunnerinhd695 Oh trust me I've been in the market for one as a broke college kid for half a year now...I finally ended up picking a '99 K1500 Z71 last week for $6,000, rough paint and interior but frame/body/mechanics are solid. only 140k miles. No rust. So just gotta restore the outside which Im starting tomorrow :)
Why didn't you guys fix the deep dent hole like spot on the drivers side below the rear side window, it was very noticeable. That work on the finish was the best, in the world man. Love that truck!
i'd really miss the black door guards if i owned a new truck. i know for a fact my doors would have some ugly dents in it by now if they weren't there.
@@lyman135 Iv noticed you’ve answered a couple of people on here starting off with “obviously” try typing in k1500 6.5 turbo diesel and see what pops up you may see something that stands out that’s pretty obvious!
Ive been wet sanding for over 12 years, if you perform it the correct way, thats how long it takes. First you have to clean the surface, then claybar, then 1500 grits the entire truck, 2000 grit, then 3,000 grit. Keep in mind, we don't use DA bc they will catch dirt and leave pigtails. From there compound, then polish, then ultra polish and then seal. If you can do it faster, you have a job here :)

Maybe you guys can find a better tire. I bought these same tires for my Z71, and they suck. Especially if it's wet outside. It's like being on roller skates.....scarey!!!!!!
I often wonder if GM were to manufacture a new run of these trucks, I bet they would sell like hot cakes. With the 5.7 of course

"does have 138k miles which is not very low but it's not high" - Hell yeah that's LOW mileage for a truck that's almost 20 years old! Gorgeous.
Christopher Walker 138,000
Not low miles??? That is amazingly low for a obs pickup
My last ford f150 was a 2001 and had 286,000 and still like new

Does anyone know the details about the leveling kit on this truck? It's stance looks great, would love to know what kind of lift it has.
I would also like to know.
