Then ik you love this game, I love this game and I’m nowhere near this location and I fish on a very small scale (hobby). I really appreciate this sim tho. Show what fishermen actually do and go through.
I love the game and yes fishing is tuff 💪 but also beautiful and scary long hrs hard work rough seas...thanks for the reply ...be cool if we could talk on radio to other boats
@@stevetedford7577 yeah multiplayer bring it to a whole level above what it is now. I doubt multiplayer will come but I’d love for them to at least keep updating and adding things, ya know.
Good Tutorial, but one thing that was missing is there are two different pots for lobster. Wood for $500 or Metal for $1000 and according to the Wiki, the Metal pots catch 30% more than the wood ones. Which just for your trip would have been around $360,000 more.
The snowflake on the bait box stands for frozen bait. That bait gets chopped while frozen by the cutter. So snowflake in fish means frozen fish bait for lobster/crabs Also, the fish sonar registers behind your boat and in front. So if you're on the 100m setting, it's viewing 50m in front of you and 50m behind you. You're boat is in the direct center, so when a fish/crab icon is directly in the middle you're directly over them, and that's the best time to drop your gear for the best catch.
Well I work pretty closely with the developers and according to the last time we discussed it, when the fish appear on the right side of the sonar screen, that's when they are directly under the boat.
@@R3troZone Plus that's how they work. It would make no sense to have your boat in the middle of the sonar view, as what if you turned 90 degrees? Has the sonar got ESP or something?
I fish snow crab(opillio) lobster and rock crab and this game is pretty realistic. I love it haha only wish you could put more then one trap per line for lobster
@mrjoker1133 I have like 200 traps set in the game, what I meant was In irl u can have 2-3 pretty much however many traps hooked up to the rope and bouy. Catch more and saves time
@@mikeemrich7644 yeah, the game has multi-pot drops, with the bigger boats you can put 5-10-15-20-25 pots on a string that creates 2 buoys and then you can pull them all up together, you get a huge haul from those if you drop them on a good spot (20 pots has got me 5000-8000 kg lobster regularly) just 2 or 3 of those big strings can fill my entire boat
So, I'm just wondering since it's been almost 4yrs since you made this video does the *group of four pots* still play a big rule of thumb with the updates since you came out with this video?
The last time I played it was a few months ago, and yeah the spacing out does seem to help, but if your crew is skilled enough to empty the pots quickly, you can drop them all, wait until they turn blue, and pick them all up with minimal loss.
Hey your advice was to the point i was just testing the waters with rudy and the girls hit a 10,000 achievement off of buoy #4 they must have changed something i have 2 sorting and me having fun getting in there way oh the same boat ran into me and then started fishing now you know if this wasn't a game well I'm not going to finish the rest thanks alot
So I haven’t played in a while. The game has since updated. Your system worked fantastic for me but I think it’s now outdated. My guys don’t set the pots slowly the stings are immediately ready for delivery and there’s no waiting to get a certain distance from them. It’s out of whack. Is it just me experiencing this?
Yo, I hit up lobster while it was in season, yeah it was in November, but it's IN season. I found an area that was fucking CRAWLING with lobster. All over. I was only getting like 200kg a pot. I don't get it. I made more much faster just fishing Tuna or Swordfish.
I'll relay this to the devs. There are some issues with many fish types in the game where what shows on sonar doesn't always relate to what you actually catch.
My pots usually average between 100-200kg. Best pot was 390kg, but rarely get over 300kg. It’s definitely more time consuming and less lucrative than longlining or tuna/swordfish.
I live in yarmouth and I'm also a fisherman

@@chefboyarb well the next game has multiplayer but its in norway
Nb fisherman here brother💪 also fish snow crab in cape breton
Omg thank you!!! Took me about 20 mins to work out how to put on an elastic band lmao
For me, it was setting the pot. I kept picking it up to throw it in, not realizing you're supposed to just nudge it off the table.
the grind is real

About the sonar, where do you get this info?

How do you skip time back to lobster season once it ends without sinking the boat I haven’t been able to figure that out yet
You have to repair the boat once a month or so or else it takes too much damage
Steel pots they added later are better then the wooden I feel.
Awesome! Can’t wait to do it when it’s time in the game
So enjoy that boat but I love the artic pioneer when I bring in like 8 millions worth off lobster 😂

Very helpful vid. 👍🏽 Thanks for the tips!
Glad it was helpful!
Can your u play this game on a GeForce gtx730 2gb with 16gb of memory on i5 qwaud core pc
Cool video mate
What’s the best way to make money in this game?
If you want fast money. Rig for deep lines and catch tuna and swordfish.
How does your boat have so much max storage weight? Mine is set at 20k fully upgraded...
Are you sure yours is maxed? 22k is the base storage. Storage upgrade 4 adds 22,046.2 lbs of storage space.
Looking at it right now.... KGs vs LBs. Oops
Hello.
Do you always play the game ?
I've got close to 200 hours into it.
Bro.. wooden pots when you have almost ten mil lol
Metal pots didn't exist yet when I made the video

To actually correct it will stop you from catching out of season fish, tried it with snow crab, thought I’d confirm that for you ^^
I made this before that was added.
Wow
No bonus!!!
The AI will cut bait
At the time this video was made, the AI couldn't do that yet.
