    Pretty helpful. I’m hopeful going to pick up a Dana 44 for my 93 f150. I’m leaving it 5 lug though and I was wondering about the trac bar mount so I think I’m gonna go with the one you used. And the axle I’m getting has radius arm brackets with it that look completely different than the ttb radius arm lift brackets. I’m hoping I don’t run into the issue you did. I’m also gonna do 9” springs as well on top of a 3” body lift

      @@AaronCates so,your doing a sas vid,,without researching it first..the chassis is a different width 9" is too much,6" max. you can cut them. the crossmember needs cutting to miss the pumpkin. the radius arms sit inside the chassis, you need duff arms,or if you can weld,make up new mounts for the radius brkts,which might need modifying anyhoo. plus a panhard brkt.

      Just realized what I said last night which probably confused you. The threads on the bolts are to short. So the nuts are bottoming out before it’s tight. That’s why I ordered shorter u bolts.

    Few questions.
    1. Did you use the bricknose coil springs or the 1978 coil springs?
    2. Did you build the adapters to move the shocks to the correct postion?
    3. How come you didnt trim the radious arm bracket instead lf the cab mount?
    Just curious on all I am doing it on mine right now and could use the help! Thank you!

    I've got a 1983 Ford Ranger and I've been looking to fix it up have any advice on what would fit for the front axle stock it has a TTB type axle and it seems like a pain to deal with. If anyone knows anything that would work please let me know.

    • @AaronCates
      @AaronCates  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have much knowledge on it, but I would think a Jeep solid axle would probably work.

    • @johndough8302
      @johndough8302 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      or you can just leave the ttb. Very underrated axle. People waste money and swap them outon for no reason. Ride comfort is unbeatable. RCV makes stronger parts for them.

I HAVE BEEN THROUGH 3FOOT BOULDER ROCKS EVRYWHERE I COULD NOT SEE THE TRAIL INTO STRIPED BUIT DEATH VALLEY. i WAS SURPRISED WHEN UNLOADING INTO THE CABIN MY HUBS WERE NOT LOCKED IT DID IT WITH NO SLOWDOWNS BREAKING OR STOPS IN 2 WHEEL DRIVE

    • @AaronCates
      @AaronCates  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m glad that it works for what you use the truck for! Unfortunately in my case the truck is mainly used to drive on the road and occasionally down a dirt road. TTB caused many issues completing these simple tasks after it was lifted so I opted for the solid axle.
