That resort is huge! My wife and I went back in 2019 and stayed on the opposite end. There is definitely a lot of walking to be done there. So much, that they have their own "city bus" for guests.
Amazing. I’m heading there this November and this review secured how much I’m going to enjoy the new “Adults Only” resort. I was there in 2019 and it was still under construction. Thank you!
Was there in July 2021 for a week, the beach and palace were open not sure of the others. The staff, food, beach, nightlife, entertainment were excellent. 3rd floor about 20ft from the lobby elevators the perfect location. infinity pool i seem to recall being heated. no seaweed and 80 degrees ocean temp. We have no need to look at any other resort in that area. Going back this year.
Really enjoyed your review. Staying there in September and went back and forth about the premium level booking. Ended up not booking premium and now feel much better about the decision, so thanks for that!
Awesome review. I'm up at 1 am 😅 trying to finalize reservation. My husband and I are thinking of bringing our 1 and 3 year old. Did you happen to notice kid friendly foods. French fries, nuggets etc 😊 also I love the look of the Barcelona maya rooms over the rooms at the palace. Is it a far walk to take the kids to the water park there. Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching!! This one is actually adults only! But we walked down to the Palace one day to eat and they definitely had kid friendly foods. Plus a little water park perfect size for your kids!! My kids are older but when I travel again with them I want to go back to the family side of this resort. This one isn’t my video but I love how she describes the different sections. Although I think the Palace was the only one open bc of COVID! th-cam.com/video/D1AoAytp0BU/w-d-xo.html

I was at this resort October 2021 , everything is stunning brand new building. I spend 8 wonderful days , if anyone complain about the food- then they definitely need psychological care,I heading to the tropical June - a sisters group resort.
Hi see that you recommended not to go premium as the rooms where off to the end and the lobby was distant as well... but did you have to pay for wi-fi service if no premium room ? .... not sure thxs
Hi! I think now you can upgrade and not have to take the far away rooms! That’s the second question I’m pretty sure wifi is free! Look on trip advisor and type wifi into the review search bar and see what comes up!
Thanks for watching. We are going back in November!! I did not see a tennis court there but I’m sure some where there they have one! Yes they did have their own fitness center! It’s been so long I forget where!
Also just to note for traveling back to America at that time it was a simple antigen test they did and it was much cheaper like around $30 for each person I believe. $150 was for folks traveling back to Canada who needed a more extensive test. I hope now these days we don't need any at all period..so over the covid crap lol. I stayed at colonial but would love to stay at this one regular none premium like you recommended.
Hello! We have booked our trip for this resort in April of this year and we are also going with another couple. We booked just the standard oceanfront junior suite. They booked premium. We are thinking of upgrading but really our only two reasons for upgrading would be 1. You have unlimited and priority reservations. Would you say that is worth it? I have read where reviews say they are all full and you end up not getting to eat until like 9pm which causes you to miss the shows/ night life, or you don’t get to eat there at all and are stuck with the buffet. And number 2. Would be I have two girls ages one and two and this is my first time ever leaving them so this mama has to be able to call and check in on them (FaceTime) so the other big thing would be the WiFi. I know there are areas where you have access to free WiFi but if those areas are closed then you don’t have WiFi. Also id like to just be able to call them while in our room. Also what is your take on the premium lounge? Also Is there a coffee shop? I look forward to hearing from you!!
Excited for you! I’m going back in November!! I honestly can’t speak on the reservations. We had no problem but it was during COVID. From my experience though, reservations are not always guaranteed even if you have upgraded! WiFi - first of all good for you for taking time for yourself! But I hear you that it will be hard to leave them. My kids are all older now but I still miss them when I travel. The WiFi situation I’m not 100% sure. I can’t remember. Go to trip advisor and simply type wifi into the review search bar and see what comes up. If it’s your first trip away in awhile treat yourself to the upgrade. Does it still include hydrotherapy?? That was closed when we were there which is another reason I didn’t think it was worth it. I’m going to upgrade again this time to see if it’s more worth it than last time!! Enjoy girl!!
@@3Days3Noches thank you. Also since there is no pool service are drinks and food allowed at the pools like if you go to the bar/ buffet and bring it back to where you’re hanging out at?
Nice comprehensive review of this resort, I’m thinking about going in May, so I was very glad to be able to watch this. I am wondering if you can snorkel from the beach? If so how good is the snorkeling? thank you.
Thanks for watching! Yes you can snorkel from the beach but we did not do any! They also have a pier down in front of the other Barcelo property that they were taking people out diving and snorkeling!
Did you guys fly into cancun? And if so what form of transportation did you use to get there and back? Looking for the best value to get us to the hotel and more importantly back for our return flight on time. Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching! Yes we flew into Cancun and we always use Nacho Tours. If he’s available he’s seriously the best transportation company that we have used while traveling. You can contact him on WhatsApp and also watch our video on transportation. +52 998 198 419. th-cam.com/video/uDiL_niuPpI/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for watching! It was closed when we were there bc of COVID but supposedly there is one on this property. I’m going back in January!!! To do a review of all of the Barcelo properties. Excited!!
Would love to see you review Hotel Xcaret and the parks. This place needs the minimum of at least 7 days to see and do most of the parks and hotel geounds.
@@bimmer330us I believe it was $60 one way USD - it depends on how many people were transported. You have to be careful with transportation at the airport - lots of scams. They quote you one price and then say another when they arrive. it happened to us the first time to cancun and so thats why I am so happy we found him!! He will not do that!! we only had 2 people. Here is his whats APP to ask him and he will quote you a price. Tell him Blanca from the TH-cam Channel sent you! I don't get anything from it but he might give you a better price. +52-998-198-4193. :)
The cleanliness and the views from the room. Also the amazing buffet!!! For the price I feel it was on point but it was a little boring when we were there but I thought it was COVID.
It goes to show different tastes for different people!! The buffet is one of the things we dislike. We prefer sit down service for lunch and dinner. We couldn’t get dinner reservations the first two nights here, so we had to do buffet for that as well. It is a nice hotel, but I’m missing the level of service we had at the previous resort we stayed. I so appreciate your videos! Thanks for sharing your travel experiences.
Awwww you're so right lol!! Everyone has different priorities. That's a bummer! I'm actually going back in November mo do a follow up post covid so they better watch out lol
Having been to the Barcelo 8x over the past two years, I can attest that premium level is not worth the extra cost - regardless if resort. We've only stayed at the AO and Palace, so can't speak to the others.
Thanks for the review. What month did you stay? My daughter and I are going in 18 days and are booked at the Caribe. When I called to see if they were open the person made it sound like most things are open but the website made it look like they would still possibly move us. Staying at the Palace is obviously and upgrade so I wouldn't be upset but just kinda wanna be prepared. I know recently they could increase capacity but can't quite figure out if they opened more.
Hi, love the info! I had a question, so my family and I booked the Barcelona Maya Colonial & Tropical All-Inclusive, is it the same as yours? And do we still get all the benefits you did such as access to the other restaurants, activities, etc? Thank you!!
HI! Thanks for watching! No, we stayed at the adults only which is the Maya Riviera. Colonial and Tropical were next store - however they were closed when we were there and they were putting people in the Palace - Definitely call the resort directly to confirm if those properties opened up because we heard that they were allowing people to book at those properties but then they were moving them when they arrived and did not tell them. I believe you would need to upgrade to the Premium Level to have access to everything! But ask that question too when you call!! Good luck! We will be posting new videos regularly so def subscribe :)
Thanks for the great review! looking at going here soon too! Question for you how was the airport to hotel transport? I don't recall you mentioning it, do they have a shuttle there and back? or did you have to arrange something private?
Thanks for watching!! So we also use the same transportation company Nacho Tours. He’s the best and very safe. Check it out here. th-cam.com/video/uDiL_niuPpI/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for watching! So yes the pool bar was open but the pool was too cold! I didn’t see nachos and cheese they did have nachos. They had a whole Mexican section with freshly made fajitas and tacos. Was super good. Exciting! Would love to hear any updates!!
Thank you so much! It’s so hard to pick one!!! I loved the Sun Palace but it’s very different than the Barcelo. The Barcelo has more nightlife and is bigger and has more room around the pool but much farther from the airport! Going to Breathless in June and Beloved in November to try some more!!
Thanks for watching! If you are staying at the adults only then no, you do not need to be a premium guest to use the other properties. If you are not staying at the adults only then yes you have to upgrade to Premium to use them!
Crazy they don't have a coffee bar. I went to an Adult Only in Jamaica, that really wasn't the best resort, but getting a coffee with Jamaican rum added every morning made things much better. I realize it was hard to tell, but it looked rather quiet. I'm in my 40s, but on vacation I like to at least pretend I'm in my 30's. lol. Are there fun activities, or are things usually pretty quiet? Finally, what about nature or wildlife?
Thanks for the great comment!! They actually had a great DJ but everything ended early like 11am. I didn’t see wildlife except the annoying birds outside our first room. If you read some of the comments there is great snorkeling too!!! ☺️
Great thanks!! This one we just got back from. Food wasn’t as good but drinks were amazing and more party vibe. th-cam.com/video/1BNerr_UeEg/w-d-xo.html
Hi there we are about to book barcelo riviera maya, with a swim out. Can anyone suggest another resort that might be better. Also we have heard that sometimes the conventions here can be annoying, would this happen mid december or is it hard to say? Thanks for any input if anyone is listening!🎉🎉
I think another creator just did a video on that. Her names is Heatherstylesxo I think. I’m not a fan of Planet Hollywood theme but I know they cater to families so might be good.
Great video. I just booked my premium suite with worries that I wouldn’t receive WiFi in the regular junior suite. Did they refund you the difference once you get there to downgrade?
Thanks for watching!! It depends on what your teens like to do. If they like more action the good news is that you have access to all of the other resorts next door that have more things to do. The adults only is definitely a more chill vibe but they did have pool activities!
So I drink usually just seltzer water and vodka or tequila now when I’m on vacation bc I hydrate and drink at the same time. What a lot of people do is order a drink then a shot on the side of the alcohol that’s in the drink and just add it if it’s watered down bc it’s all included!!
Hi. We are planning on book this resort for the beginning of September and have a couple questions. Someone said you need to get the premium level for good wifi??? is that true? We will need to have wifi to do a bit of work. Just stayed at Planet Hollywood Cancun in April and that was great... little more lively as I had 2 x 23 year old girls with me. Food was good but not great. Hoping the Barcelo will be just as nice if not better. Thanks for your video and review!
@@3Days3Noches Thanks for the quick response. The other question is - should we book premium level? Other than room service which I don't need I don't see what the difference is other than over $1000.
We ended up downgrading because the Premium bldg was too far from the lobby. You do get hydrotherapy but that was closed when we got there and supposedly premium liquors If you want to take as a stage of any of the restaurants or bars in the adjoining properties you have to have premium level!
Your video was great! I was looking at Barcelo and originally thought the adult only section looked a little cold but that view is a seller! New subscriber 😊😍
Hi, thanks for sharing your video I’m getting to head over to Barceló in March. What are the requirements as far taking Covid test when leaving the US entering and returning back to the US?
Thank you so much for watching!! Leaving and returning to the US there were no requirements when we went. However now you must have a negative test to re enter the US. The resort provides testing but make sure you call ahead of time. Also keep checking with your airlines and the CDC before you go because they continue to change everything!! Enjoy your trip! You will love it!!
Thanks for watching. There was not anywhere on the property to buy either of those. Depending how you get there your driver could stop on the way there at a place maybe. We always use Navi tours and he would do that for a little extra pay etc.
@@3Days3Noches I reached out to the resort and they provided me documentation confirming their on-site Covid Antigen test is 15 USD, plus tax. Much better!

@@crystalbenitez11 If you sign up for the "My Barcelo" membership on their site, they will send you a welcome promo code to help save $$. They will also send you a birthday code and let you double them up. I just booked an 8 night stay using codes and got a couple hundred off for a total price of $1700 w/an ocean front room.
Yes there are desserts at the buffet and all of the restaurants have good desserts. But I sometimes like a late night snack and they didn’t really have an option for that unless you wanted rooms service. Room service was free with Premium level but extra for regular level.
@@3Days3Noches yes! I’m booking my flight for sep 13th when I get home from work. I was a little worried if I’d be able to get a test or if it’d be expensive to get them. You should definitely go back!
They are not! I wish they had been. I bet when it’s really hot in the summer there it’s amazing. It was a little cooler when we went like 60-70 at night and 75-80 during the day. Please subscribe if you haven’t already!!
Only if you want the room service or the more private room. You could always upgrade once you get there too! Would love to hear how it is when you get back!
@@3Days3Noches I would love to know why you feel the premium option is worth it. We are also considering premium but not reconsidering after seeing this video.
@@deserieenid4425 Sure! I actually did a whole video about it - th-cam.com/video/5cWjlYLAWYw/w-d-xo.html. If you like to order room service then keep it! I usually like to eat outside of the room. We also didn't like the Premium level room location. It was on the other end of the property and too far to walk to everything. There was also a loud bird outside the room lol. But if you like the privacy and quiet you will like it. Finally we thought we were getting premium liquor - but EVERYONE gets premium liquor at this section of Barcelo. I would do the premium level if I stay at the family section!
@@deserieenid4425 I'm guessing Dave stays at the Palace based on one of his other comments. In the other sections (Beach, Caribe, Palace, etc.), Premium is worth the upgrade especially if you want premium liquor. Since the BMR is at a higher price point and adults only, they serve premium to all guests so upgrading just for that isn't worth the extra cost. If you're a big room service person, maybe it's worth it to you since non-Premium has to pay for room service. The Premium rooms are mostly in the building the farthest away from the lobby, but there are also Premium rooms throughout the rest of the resort so don't think you'll be stuck at the south end of the resort. You could still be Premium and request being closer to the lobby. Personally, I don't think the extra charge is worth it.
Hi! So I’m pretty sure the Barcelo Beach is now the adults only property called Riviera Maya. So if you stay at the adults only then yes you have access. If you stay at one of the other properties then you have to upgrade to Premium level to gain access. Hope that helps!
Thanks for the review! Am I correct in assuming that there is no additional fee for any of the specialty restaurants? Were there any fees you did not expect?
No just the Premium Lounge. The Premium Lounge is in the lobby - in fact it may close at 5PM. Right across the way is the Lobby Bar - you can see it in the "Activities" portion of the video. It would have been cool if they had more outdoor bars at night but I think with COVID not everything was open. You do get free rooms service with the Premium though which you only had like 6 things to choose from. The Premium level rooms are the furthest away from the lobby as well and a pretty long walk.
Thanks for watching! No that was one thing that was missing. Only room service. At the bar they had some "tapas" like food but that's it. I also missed that they didn't have a cafe in the morning - although you could get espresso drinks at all of the buffets and bars.
I think it was 9am! I am an early person and like to eat when I get up so I don't think I every had to wait for it to open - it could have even been 8AM - one morning we went to the other property for breakfast. It was the same buffet basically but a change of scenery since they only had the one option for breakfast every morning. Hopefully more is open when you go there!
There were 5 on this property but then you had access to the other restaurants in the Barcelo family resorts next door but not all restaurants were open when I was there bc of COVID so you might want to call and see!
@@3Days3Noches Thanks for the quick response, I should have been a little more clear on my question. Most resorts only allow say, 3-4 a la carte meals for a 7-day stay, do you get one a la carte allowance for each day at this resort?
3 questions.... 1. How was the night life? Specifically after dinner time? 2. Was there any restaurants or other activities that were closed due to COVID restrictions? 3. Were you required to take a COVID test before returning to the US? Going in May for my honeymoon! Cant wait!
HI Ryan! thanks for watching! 1. All of the "nightlife" was in the open air lobby. They had a DJ and Karaoke the nights we were there which were only 3 - until 11PM. We wished it had gone later but Maybe by May there will be more open bc I know they have a night club too. Playa Del Carmen is so fun at night. We didn't go during COVID but we went a few other times we were there. Very safe and fun. People are in the streets trying to sell you stuff but the nightclubs and restaurants are way fun! 2. In that resort, the restaurants all seemed open but were on a limited schedule - so open every other night etc. You do have access to the other resorts but the Palace was the only one that was open when we were there. Apparently there is an amazing Brazilian restaurant but we didn't get there. All of the water sports and Jet Skis were open if water conditions allowed etc. Maybe by May some more will be open. 3. We visited right before needing a COVID test - however we met a few Canadians that were required to take it and they offered it in the lobby for $150 but many are offering them for free now. Is it your first time visiting Mexico? Definitely book Nacho to pick you up from the airport if you don't have anyone. He can also arrange tours to Tulum, transportation to Playa Del Carmen etc if you decide to venture out. You have to be careful with some of the transportation there! He is awesome! Let me know if you have any other questions! I've been to Mexico 5 times! Congrats on the wedding!

Hi, great video! Could you do a ranking of your top 10 hôtels?
Yes I need to do that!! I’m going to Le Blanc in January so I’m going to do it after that. It’s so hard to pick!!
hello, so if you get hungry at night is there food you can order or a 24hr sports bar?
Hi! Thanks for watching. Not when we were there. A few things were closed bc of COVID. But they had room service.
What did you enjoy most at the resort. We are here right now and not loving it. Wondering what we are missing!!
Thank you for video, are the Barcelos hotels within waking distance of each other? Thank you
Yes they are! They also have carts that will take you
Having been to the Barcelo 8x over the past two years, I can attest that premium level is not worth the extra cost - regardless if resort. We've only stayed at the AO and Palace, so can't speak to the others.
Thanks for watching!! Very helpful when others chime in 😊
Thanks for the review.
We were there in January 2021! I know that happened to a lot of people that went there. So hoping they open up more when you get there
Hi, love the info!
Great Review Very informative!
Thanks for watching!!! 😊
Hi!
Was the pool bar open for
Service?
And are there nachos and cheese at
The buffet??
Thank you! Going in April!
Thanks for watching! So yes the pool bar was open but the pool was too cold! I didn’t see nachos and cheese they did have nachos. They had a whole Mexican section with freshly made fajitas and tacos. Was super good. Exciting! Would love to hear any updates!!
Is there a clip in this video of the jungle view? I can’t find it omg 😭
Yes! 12:49. We were higher up so you could see over the jungle lol but if yiu were on lower floors you would just see that view! Thanks for watching!
Great reviews. Is this still your favorite resort? If you know of a better one... I only go once a year so I will go to your favorite
@@3Days3Noches Thanks :) We are headed down in July
🥳🥳🥳🥳
Did you have to be a premium guest to have access to the other restaurants across the whole complex?
Thanks for watching! If you are staying at the adults only then no, you do not need to be a premium guest to use the other properties. If you are not staying at the adults only then yes you have to upgrade to Premium to use them!
Hi which resort was the dolphin watch tour at??
I think that was Barcelo Maya Beach
Thank you for the quick response. Going to share your video with friends and of course my wife and see what they think.
Def hard to say!!! You should join our FB group!! And ask that

@@3Days3Noches ok great thanks!!!
Do you like this one or Iberostar better? Why?
Def this one. A little better quality in my opinion
Would you recommend this resort for a bachelorette party for ages 23-30?
totally random but what do you think about planet Hollywood for a family?
I think another creator just did a video on that. Her names is Heatherstylesxo I think. I’m not a fan of Planet Hollywood theme but I know they cater to families so might be good.
What month is this? Awesome video!!
Thanks for watching! It was January 2020
2021 sorry!!
Great video. I just booked my premium suite with worries that I wouldn’t receive WiFi in the regular junior suite. Did they refund you the difference once you get there to downgrade?
Thanks for watching! Yes they did no problem! You may love it over in the Premium section! I just preferred being closer to the lobby! Have fun!
Great review! Would you recommend this resort for the 18-20 crowd? Just wondering if there were beach or pool activities like volleyball and such?
Thanks for watching!! It depends on what your teens like to do. If they like more action the good news is that you have access to all of the other resorts next door that have more things to do. The adults only is definitely a more chill vibe but they did have pool activities!
Question?...Did you happen to see the junior sweet room? If so how was it?
Thanks for watching! Our was the Junior Suite Room - I believe all of the rooms are Suites
Are the drinks watered down?
I do not recall that! But I also didn’t need it while I was there. Maybe go to trip advisor and search in the reviews “WiFi” and see what comes up
@@3Days3Noches Thanks for the quick response. The other question is - should we book premium level? Other than room service which I don't need I don't see what the difference is other than over $1000.
We ended up downgrading because the Premium bldg was too far from the lobby. You do get hydrotherapy but that was closed when we got there and supposedly premium liquors If you want to take as a stage of any of the restaurants or bars in the adjoining properties you have to have premium level!
is barcelo bigger than moon palace resorts?
A little bigger but moon palace is better
@3Days3Noches i wanna wait til black friday im hoping they still have availability. I like the fact that its only 20mins away from cancun airport.
Your video was great! I was looking at Barcelo and originally thought the adult only section looked a little cold but that view is a seller! New subscriber 😊😍
Thank you! It was a little “sterile” but I liked the minimalist feel!!
@@3Days3Noches Thank you so much.
Great review! Was there water to purchase in bulk on the property? Also anywhere to buy liquor/beer for the room at the resort?
Thanks for watching. There was not anywhere on the property to buy either of those. Depending how you get there your driver could stop on the way there at a place maybe. We always use Navi tours and he would do that for a little extra pay etc.
@@3Days3Noches thank you! I drink a ton of water so worried they won’t provide enough lol
They gave you as many bottles as you wanted too since it’s all inclusive
@@3Days3Noches good to know - thanks again!
Amazing review. I was planning to book this until I saw the “ice cold water” in the pools 🥶. Looking at Maui again instead.
Thanks for watching! Mexico or Maui?? Yes for Maui!! I wish it were closer for me!
Are there a cold pools in barcelo reviera???
Which resort did you prefer between barcelo maya riviera vs majestic elegance?
That’s tough!!!! I think the Barcelo bc you have access to the other properties and more room at the pool and it’s adults only
Wow so cool I’m going next month !
So exciting. Will it be your first time?? Would love to hear any of your thoughts when you go!!
The Covid test is mandatory and 150, per person. Anyway around that, or cheaper options available?
The resort might offer it for free now! Give them a call! Most resorts are including it now to encourage travelers
@@3Days3Noches I reached out to the resort and they provided me documentation confirming their on-site Covid Antigen test is 15 USD, plus tax. Much better!

They will also send you a birthday code and let you double them up. I just booked an 8 night stay using codes and got a couple hundred off for a total price of $1700 w/an ocean front room.
Was the price you paid a lot higher then at the Blue Bay Grand. It seems like you liked it here better
Yes this resort was way better! We paid about $300 more per person overall but we got an incredible deal here bc of COVID
You mentioned there’s no ice cream option at night. Is there options for desserts during the day? Or any other desert options at night ?
Yes there are desserts at the buffet and all of the restaurants have good desserts. But I sometimes like a late night snack and they didn’t really have an option for that unless you wanted rooms service. Room service was free with Premium level but extra for regular level.
Did you take a taxi to Playa del Carmen? How much?
Yes we did I think it was $40.
Hello, did this resort have testing on site?
Yes it did!

Of course!! Are you going there?? I want to go back!
@@3Days3Noches yes! I’m booking my flight for sep 13th when I get home from work. I was a little worried if I’d be able to get a test or if it’d be expensive to get them.

I really like how you review. Do you think the pools are heated.
They are not! I wish they had been. I bet when it’s really hot in the summer there it’s amazing. It was a little cooler when we went like 60-70 at night and 75-80 during the day. Please subscribe if you haven’t already!!
Thanks for the great review! I just booked and was unsure about the premium level thing. I don't think i need it.
Only if you want the room service or the more private room. You could always upgrade once you get there too! Would love to hear how it is when you get back!
We have been to the Barcelo 9 times and we ALWAYS do the Club Premium. We feel it’s well worth it just FYI !!!!!
How is the nite life parties clubs etc
There wasn’t too much when we were there bc of COVID but heard it’s better now
if u stay at th barcelo beach hotel for ex can u visit reviera territory\pools etc ?
Hi! So I’m pretty sure the Barcelo Beach is now the adults only property called Riviera Maya. So if you stay at the adults only then yes you have access. If you stay at one of the other properties then you have to upgrade to Premium level to gain access. Hope that helps!
@@3Days3Noches thx
Thanks for the review! Am I correct in assuming that there is no additional fee for any of the specialty restaurants? Were there any fees you did not expect?
Thanks for watching! No additional fees! Only tips! We did not come across any unexpected fees!!
@@3Days3Noches Thanks!
So is the premium lounge not worth the price for the upgrade? I assumed it would have food options and better drinks and less crowded.
We thought so too! It is less crowded but only had a few snacks and drinks were same as the other bar. I didn’t see the value in it.
It also closed at 7pm!
@@3Days3Noches the whole lounge? does the lobby lounge close at 7 as well? if so where do you grab drinks at night?
No just the Premium Lounge. The Premium Lounge is in the lobby - in fact it may close at 5PM. Right across the way is the Lobby Bar - you can see it in the "Activities" portion of the video. It would have been cool if they had more outdoor bars at night but I think with COVID not everything was open. You do get free rooms service with the Premium though which you only had like 6 things to choose from. The Premium level rooms are the furthest away from the lobby as well and a pretty long walk.
th-cam.com/video/5cWjlYLAWYw/w-d-xo.html. This is the video about the premium level
Were there any places to grab food late night?
Thanks for watching! No that was one thing that was missing. Only room service. At the bar they had some "tapas" like food but that's it. I also missed that they didn't have a cafe in the morning - although you could get espresso drinks at all of the buffets and bars.
@@3Days3Noches thanks for the reply! Do you remember what time the breakfast buffet opened?
I think it was 9am! I am an early person and like to eat when I get up so I don't think I every had to wait for it to open - it could have even been 8AM - one morning we went to the other property for breakfast. It was the same buffet basically but a change of scenery since they only had the one option for breakfast every morning. Hopefully more is open when you go there!
Was the mall not open due to Covid? They have the bar Strikers there that's open late...food, drinks, ice cream.
@@christinahaim1876 no it was all closed down.
It looks like a very fun place !
Cant wait to go back!
How many al la cartes for a week there?
There were 5 on this property but then you had access to the other restaurants in the Barcelo family resorts next door but not all restaurants were open when I was there bc of COVID so you might want to call and see!
@@3Days3Noches Thanks for the quick response, I should have been a little more clear on my question. Most resorts only allow say, 3-4 a la carte meals for a 7-day stay, do you get one a la carte allowance for each day at this resort?
Oh! I’ve never heard of that before! No you it’s unlimited!
why is it adults only?
Because some people want to vacation without children. The Barcelo properties next store are family oriented.
No water slides. No daycare, no screaming kids, no water wings, no diapers in the water, better music, more drinks, better food.
