It honestly really sucks that this game doesn't get that much attention, Falcom puts so much effort and love into the game and their soundtracks never disappoint
@@DrKrFfXx-0 yeah but the thing is, it felt like ys 8 was gonna be that game, they upped graphics and detail so much it really felt like this would be the p5 of the ys series, it def brought in a good amount of new fans but not as many as it deserves or i would have thought.
@@lazerman3686 You're not wrong, Ys VIII upped the production value of the franchise, but releasing broken game ports, like that of PC, or the underperforming Switch port, doesn't do the franchise any favors. Plus games take too long to come out on the western market too.
Playing this while working. This is really relaxing and boosts my productivity. Haven't platinumed this yet so I can play this again. I want to forget about this game so I can replay from the start with the same excitement and emotion when I first played this. Unfortunately it's hard to forget such a beautiful story.
Just want to say, thank you very much for this! I just started college as a freshman and online classes felt really stressful, not to mention the large amount of assignments I have to work on... I love Falcom's game and music, and this compilation is especially lovely! It helps me relax and focus while studying or working. I keep coming back these days, lol. Once again, thank you. You've just helped a soul. xD
Just finished this game on the PS Vita and man I really enjoyed it. The story of this game is my favorite type of stories. I’ve had this on my shelf for years but never played it. I really missed out on it for a long time but glad I got to enjoy it. It took finishing Tokyo Xanadu and Trails of Cold Steel for me to be able to try this game. Falcom really never disappoints. Off to Memories of Celceta!
Such a beautiful, spirited and tragically underrated game. The modern day Chrono Cross. Epic music, memorable characters, bittersweet story and amazing gameplay.
Thank you for posting this playlist! I enjoyed the entire OST but my preference was for the more relaxing, less fast-paced songs. I usually think of Ys for its high adrenaline metal-ish music, but they really nailed the softer stuff for Lacrimosa of Dana.
Played on ps vita, a masterpiece. Then i bought also ps4 version because of extra content, hd and 60 fps...and because falcom deserve people buy their games. I also bough all cold steel series, memories of celceta, ys orogins, monstrum nox and tokyo xanadu for ps vita and ex+ for ps4. They are all great games...but lacrimosa of dana is my favourite. Best action rpg of this generation.
a surprisingly good game, with a really interesting and heart-touching story and the feeling of building your settlement like in the games from the Suikoden series, if someone wonders if it's worth it and likes the classic JRPG in the style of Alundra 1 from psone, I strongly recommend it
Haven't play this game yet but one day hopefully i will (after finishing YS2, and so on). But is it me or 20:00 - Sound Of Night sounds like one of the songs of Final Fantasy V
something hilarious about Falcom's team is that they aren't exactly the best at translating and a few of their songs are misspelt, like yesterday in etania is supposed to be yesterday in eternia like how they spelled it in the game.
NIS America did the translation. it was a 'huge' issue. Can read more about it here. Been 'fixed' since then, but there are still some gaps. They did a much better job on Trails of Cold Steel 3, another Falcom game they're localizing. www.polygon.com/2017/10/10/16455388/ys-8-localization-translation-patch-ps4-vita
i did like playing nox it was a good game but is it just me or was the general game a step down from dana? the movements felt worse for whatever reason. dana is still my favorite ys game
This game was so fun to play on PC, it's a shame that it was ported badly and got such a bad rep for it. I'm currently playing the sequel and while it's good , definitely doesn't hit the same music, character and story wise.
Dont be ashamed for liking the first song! I absolutley love it, its so serene and majestic, beautiful and calming, and im currently learning it as the first piano piece ill fully know

Yeah... Hopefully Ys 9 that just came out fixes that.
Persona was a niche series for the longest time until 5, were they hit the jackpot. Ys needs a game like that to hit the mainstream.

@@DrKrFfXx-0 What's wrong with the PC port? I just finished playing the game on steam and it seems perfectly fine?
Don't be ashamed over liking the first song. It is beautiful.
You mean because it’s just a chord progression used in thousands of other pieces of music? Nah. It’s still nice. :)
Is there anything to be ashamed of? You should be proud of your good taste in music.
I cried hearing that song after i finished the game
Yeah this song is beautiful
@@ulengrau6357 Is it the same chord progression as in Disney's Anastasia?

That's the best for me. It reminds me of Dark Chronicles too.

All of the songs are amazing but "Ricordo" will be that one song that I'll listen to again in the future and remember how much I love this game.
This is a 10/10 game for me. Was my first Ys and now grinding through the whole series
Ys deserves more attention its such an amazing series.
Such a great OST. Helps me get a good night's sleep. Thanks for this!
Best soundtrack ever, its music is one of the reasons why this videogame is my favorite of all time.

Love the game and music. Ys series will always be the best JRPG to play.
bought this game on three platforms. dont regret it one bit. Best game ive ever played
This is what I needed. Thank you so much for this beautiful compilation!!

The first song gives a feeling of hopelessness, when they tell you there is no way to stop the lacrinosa and everyone will die.
Thank you so much. This is amazing. Makes me wanna play this fantastic game again.

I feel so empty after getting true ending

one of the best Rpg games I have ever played. storyline and plot. system and everything overall generally I had to say. 9.8/10
The minus .2 is the ending.
Just finished this game and damn, what a masterpiece.
