    "Hypersensitivity reactions are exaggerated or inappropriate immune response to benign antigens. It is the immune response and not the antigen that is harmful. An external antigen such as a drug, pollen or food can elicit an inappropriate immune response.
    Hypersensitivity Type I is a antibody mediated reaction. It is also called the immediate hypersensitivity reaction because it is fast. An allergic reaction is a type I hypersensitivity reaction and really involves recognition of an antigen by primed IgE immunoglobulins on mast cells."

    I'm currently in the hospital for Anaphalactic Shock. I got bit by a tick that stays on mammals (4 legged animals) it hopped off and bite me injecting the venom inside of me. Now whenever I eat mammals my whole body gets hives all over them, my blood flow constricts to my heart, and I get a heart attack. This disease will eventually go away but for now I just can't eat mammal. I'm currently in the hospital bed typing this right now because I accidentally ate mammalian meat, I will be out tomorrow but I almost died this time because my heart stopped.

    Why is IgE specific to an antigen in Type I Hypersensivity reaction? If I'm not mistaken, the only two cells that can "see" or "touch" antigen are antigen representig, T and TH2 cells, while IgE is represented by B cells.

    Is there a cure or a way to reverse hipersensitivity? I have been developing reactions to all types of foods and vitamins. My immune system is very, or in this case, hypersensitive. Will appreciate your response, as I have a very short and current list of foods that I can eat. I believe I have type 1 hypersensitivity.

    What causes a reaction to become systemic rather than staying localised?

    • @Trending_India_1
      @Trending_India_1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vasodialation and smooth muscle relax after the mast cell degranulation. When it is in excess tissue of the body, it is called systemic anaphylaxis.And in local anaphylaxis it is only upto specific tissues.
