    You were one of my very first artists that I watched when I first looked at utube. Somehow over the years I lost you & was so excited to find you again today! You are so much fun to watch & make painting seem easy & that's saying alot since I am not artistic. I love to craft & have become fairly good at it, but painting...well I'm still learning. Thank you for sharing your talents & skills!

    I really appreciate the specificity of this tutorial. I was testing star splatters with different paints and materials, and this video helped me hone in on what technique was best for what I wanted. Lots of other splatter tutorials out there are much more simple, so I appreciate the level of detail and the examples shown. Thank you!

    When I try to explain splatter to my seniors, they always seem to add tooooo much water. They watch me mix the water into the color and I show how cool the star affect is and they still add too much water..So they call the big dots planets. Go figure. You are wonderful and I so enjoy watching you, Angela and your mom doing tutorials. Keep up the good work! Hugs and love to you and yours.

    Thank you for your great tips! I have been a professional artist since 2006 but have never "needed" to splatter paint before and I had thought, "Oh, I've got this! I did this when I was a kid!" but when I tried to remember how to do it I almost ruined the painting :( I repainted the background and then went to TH-cam for tips, of course, and you've video is by FAR the best I've found! Thanks for showing the difference in paints AND brushes, most others only show brushes. Many thanks for saving me precious time :)

    how does the splatter brush and toothbrush work with oil paints

    • @TheArtSherpa
      @TheArtSherpa  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not 100% sure on that one as I have not tested the technique with oils. My gut says the same but watch the solvents when you clean the tooth brush and you can also ask Kevin Hill he does a lot of step by step oil painting.

    What white flourescant paint do you use. I'm trying to find white paint that glows bright white in black light

  • @zzubuzz
    @zzubuzz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I experimented for the first time before watching this, and found out the hard way splatter was the biggest problem. I am wondering if anybody has tried a mini roller and spun it? I don't think a roller would splatter as long as it's not over loaded, maybe use only one edge of the roller so the paint doesn't get all over your hand. Hold a big sheet of cardboard under it so the spatter doesn't get all over (but cover everything anyway). I'm going to try that. I'm testing on a mirror on the wall, easy to wipe off, easy to see what I've done. I plan to do this on a white ceiling using white blacklight paint so it doesn't show during the daylight hours but at night with a blacklight on they show up big time..I did do about a dozen with the tip of a brush but found out that looks really fake.
