I have a problem guys.. Bought a sn8y from Turkey and spk8-s rear kit from USA. they dont pair... What should i do???
is this: lg sp8ya , the same as the: lg dsp8y?

Thanks for the video. I decided to pick up the SP8YA (2021) model over this year's S75Q (2022) model based on my research. Do you find the LCD display on the SP8YA too bright or annoying when watching TV? I have read that you cannot dim or turn this off? Also, does the magic remote power the SP8YA on/off with the the TV?
Hello, very good choice which I think SP8YA will be good for some years to come.
About the display yes it cannot be turning off which is a bit bummer but I have not felt that it is distracting me while watching movies. If you own a LG TV you can use that remote to control both SP8YA and TV together. Also in LG Soundbar app you can turn on option to turn on/off with a connected TV (not sure if it works with non LG brand TV). There are also option to use TV remote to control soundbar with TV remote (also if you are using LG TV, not sure with non LG brand TV).
I have been using only LG TV magic remote to control both TV and Soundbar which works very well. Both TV and Soundbar turns on/off together.

Did you have a problem controlling the volume of this soundbar with your tv remote? I have an LG g1 TV and somehow whenever I am putting volume up on my magic remote that does not affect the soundbar.

Have you downloaded LG Soundbar app? In the app settings -> Other settings, there is option to check in "Using the TV remote control" and Auto Power On/Off. These two options is a must so you can use your magic remote to control the soundbar :)
Recently purchased the SP8YA. It has good sound, however, everytime I turn on the unit it displays M-UPDATE for about 1 minute before sound is played. I have it connected to the app which shows the firmware up to date. Do you have the same problem? I have it connected to my LG-65C9 TV using an optical cable.
That sounds very weird. I have it connect to LG OLED77CX6LA but not with optical cable but through HDMI.

Not sure if SPK8-S and without S is the same. But according to SPK8-S it support SP8YA. All I did was connect rear speaker to wireless box that came with it and power it on. And setup soundbar and connect it to LG Soundbar app and the app will connect them together. Hope it help.

You can mount rear speaker yes. You need to connect wired to the wireless box but cords that comes is very long.
But you need to buy wall mount since it do not come with any.

I’m having a problem getting Dolby atmo through the sound bar . My tcl won’t recognize it only if I use my fire stick that’s plug into the lg sound bar . If I’m using the arc through the tv apps it doesn’t recognize it . Any tips ?
Hm so you don't get Atmos by connecting Tv's ARC HDMI to Soundbar? Have you check the audio settings in the TV to let it pass from Soundbar?
But yout Firestick app like netflix/disney+ give you Atmos? And not from TV's app? Have you check that your TV have eARC?
Or it could be simple that TCL model is not supporting Atmos through ARC HDMI and best way is to use third party device like Shield TV, Firestick, AppleTV etc etc

@@winton9108 Maybe your TV does not support Dolby Atmos? In that case you need to use third party device connect to it.
Same problem with me I have tcl qled c 715 tv having arc .
Initially I bought samsung q800b which hangs evry 1.5 hour but has great sound .on samsung i got Dolby digital Plus and Dolby Atmos on soundbar display but on my lg sp8a i m getting only two format pcm and Dolby audio
My SPK8-S rear speaker simply refuses to pair with the SP8. It used to/and continues to pair without a hitch with my older SL6Ys. So frustrating!
Hm weird, since I never paired them with any other device before. Maybe it is stuck on the old device? Have you manage to get them paired with SP8 once?
@@Aurahead Thanks for the reply. No I haven’t been able to pair them with the new soundbar even once. Even if they are stuck with the older one, I am not sure how to reset it. All we have is a pairing button on the skp8-s. Wish they would have given a reset button.
@@shantanukumar3291 Have you tried to factory reset/reset SP8?
@@shantanukumar3291 they do have a reset button it's holding down a button on top of the bar. I think it's the wifi button? You'll have to play with it. Plus I'm pretty sure it has a reset within the app.

Hello, you use hdmi or optical? I have same soundbar, when i use optical i feel more bass and higher volume.
I am using ARC from TV. Have you tried and adjust settings in LG app?

Not sure where it is available in your country but I can strong recommend getting rear speakers.
So the two are compatible? I just ordered the sp8ya sound bar and didn’t find documentation that the LG SPK8-S 2.0 Channel Sound Bar Wireless Rear Speaker Kit would be compatible.

@Leonardo Agazia Ciao, si ho trovato un offerta su Amazon e ho acquistato la soundBar a 399 euro e le casse posteriori a 140 euro. Devo dire che ne sono rimasto realmente sorpreso, provenendo da un classico 5.1 ero dubbioso sulla soundbar. Mi sono ricreduto suona davvero bene, l'audio (specialmente con il Dolby Atmos) fa paura, le casse posteriori hanno completano il pacchetto. Ti consiglio l'acquisto specie se hai una TV LG e non escludere le casse posteriori perché sono anche quelle a fare la differenza. Suono limpido, pulito e i bassi fanno paura. Prendila non rimarrai deluso

I have bought the exact same bar and the same rear speakers, 100% the same, and I have a problem.
My TV is an LG OLED 55 "CX6, and the bar connects to the TV from the eARC port of the bar to the eARC port of the TV, using an eARC compliant HDMI 2.1 cable, and I have a problem with Dolby Atmos.
The bar in principle works correctly, and the change with the normal sound of the TV is noticeable, even there fine, but my problem comes when I try to play a netflix movie that contains Dolby Atmos, it does not detect it, it appears "Dolby Vision ". If I change the sound source back to the TV (as it contains simulated Dolby Atmos), I go back to netflix and I get "Dolby Atmos", as it should be, but that's my problem, if I pass the sound to the bar, it disappears and just I see "Dolby Vision".
Do you know if it is necessary to activate Dolby Atmos in any section of the TV or the bar? I have looked at everything and I can not find an option for that, I have no idea what to do and I am very lost.

Does it come with an hdmi cable?
No HDMI included.
Make sure you get HDMI premium cable to get the best results and no sound delay etc. This system is powerful!
@@habsfan9383 I’ve had my LG SP8YA for almost 2 weeks and for some reason the subwoofer keeps disconnecting from the soundbar. On the back of the subwoofer it has a green dot and it keeps blinking im guessing it’s pairing. It did not do this when I first bought it now the soundbar sounds very terrible. I have it connected to my new LG Oled C1 77”. I doubled checked the hdmi cables, took them out and plugged them back in. Still doing the same thing the subwoofer keeps disconnecting from soundbar. I play Dolby Atmos content on TH-cam and I can clearly hear when I don’t hear anymore bass coming from the subwoofer. It goes off every 5-10 seconds. I bought it from Best Buy. Any idea on what might be causing this?
I just got this sound bar yesterday and love it so far... Was shocked it didn't come with an HDMI cable. I ordered a more premium one.
