I share 23 powerful Nuggets from top Influential Doers (in their own words), with added 🎆 visuals (to make it super easy to understand) and my own 💭 reflections.
Naval shares his knowledge about meditation, why you would want to do it and some practical tips for doing it. At the end, Tim Ferriss also comments that this is one of the most common habits among its interviewees.

    ✎ ✎ ✎✎ ✎ ✎✎ ✎ ✎✎ ✎ ✎✎✎ ✎ Notes ✎ ✎ ✎ ✎ ✎ ✎✎ ✎ ✎✎ ✎ ✎
    - 4 stages of the mind --- Association, Contemplation, Concentration and Meditation.
    - How the mind works? The mind is continuously in "free associating mode". Which then triggers an uncontrollable stream of thoughts. This is how it works in default.
Then, there is the "contemplation mode". In which we dive onto something specific (eg/ scientists working).
Beyond that is "Concentration". This is when the mind focuses on one thing only. This is where most meditation techniques reside. (e.g./ focus on your breath). Because first you need to concentrate, before getting into a meditative state.
There are many meditation techniques. "The Book of Secrets" by Osho can guide you on it, with 112 different meditations within. You can find which one suits you the best!
The meditation technique that best works for Naval --- "The fourth state of mind"
Meditation is the art of doing nothing. Therefore, you can't do meditation. It is a state in which you do nothing and put no effort (at a physical, mental and conscious level).
Why to meditate? It will help you closing these unsolved thoughts (that come from living and are based on fear, pain, ...). Eventually, you will have resolved all of these unsolved issues, and you get into a state of bliss and peace (true happiness). If you can get there, it changes your life.
Recommendation to start meditating -- 60 days , 1h/day , first thing in the morning. No music. No sound. No apps. Get super comfy, because you don't wanna move for the next hour!
Give yourself an hour off from life!

Thank you so much. Could you recommend me an habit or daily action to do? Right now I am living an ansiety crisis and my body is very rigid. I want to live life because I am 39 years old and I know there's something good ahead.

Hey! I really like Kapil Gupta's advice of deep examination onto what may be causing that feeling. As they say, the solution of a problem (of relevance) most times resides in the same problem. You can check this out further in the link:

Great video! I have been trying this for a couple of weeks now. One issue I run into is that I daydream the entire session about meaningless stuff. For example, my mind will go on about the tv series i've been watching or have already seen. Or It'll be about movies, youtube videos, maybe I'll start thinking about my work day ahead, etc....I don't really think about myself or look inside deeply. I'm not putting any energy or directing my attention to myself or my past on a deeper level (since Naval says to let your mind run)...Should I concentrate a little on deeper issues and guide my mind? Or continue to not put any energy into trying to think. Just continue to let the mind go on its own and daydream.

That's a good point! Thanks for sharing. Personally, when I meditate I try to not put any effort into anything. What helps me is to repeat to myself things like "I'm too lazy to do anything" and when I start thinking about stuff I also say to myself "I'm too lazy to have this thought" and that helps me to kind of shut down my mind while also not putting effort in trying to do so. I got the idea from a talk of OSHO.
I don't know if that helps!

@@PickingNuggets oh I see, so when I’m thinking about meaningless stuff I’m basically putting too much effort into my thoughts. What you just described is like a technique to help put in “no effort” when meditating. Got it, I’ll give the “I’m too lazy…” thing a shot! Thanks
