Youve been really helping me prepare for my trip next year. Im going in april for 2 1/2 weeks ending with starwars celebration. Ive been learning all i can to be ready. Its my first big trip im planning just on my own so its daunting
RamenBeast rules. I wish there was an equivalent for sushi shops ... PO as an alt to 7-11 sounds good, but I'm guessing the entrance hours are more restrictive. Will, definitely load the IC balance checker, I always miss the balance as crowds push me through the turn stiles ... Excellent video.
Should I try to get a physical suica card or should I downlaod the iOS one that’s only in Japanese. (I’ve been told to avoid the digital one bc it can double charge your card if you transfer money)
I've used an iOS one for the convenience of having the ability to charge my SUICA with a credit card. You might need to withdraw money from an ATM to charge it with cash, and waiting in line to charge it might not be fun. But its honestly whatever.

Yeah, the hours aren't as good, so you need to be a bit more organised. But the good point is they're everywhere.

I'd just get a physical card.

Where are the links for all the apps you kindly noted?
In the description!
I have slight mobility issues (like to use a walker rollator outdoors) Is Japan 'user friendly' for people like me?
Transportation is on the whole very good, as are many attractions. Though you may find temples and the like a bit less accommodating.
