304x Weekend warrior self supported second race in baja. Dont have the money to race full time. But we work our butts off to race. Carlos casas and myself jumped on the bike and put it on the podium with almost an hour ahead. No line taken can add to that amount of time gained. My inexperience and my mistakes cost me the pro moto 30 1st place. I accept the mistake but its heart breaking in a way. Full effort is full victory for me. We are an AHM suspension and SD powerhouse bike. We love the combo. We will learn and we will move on and work to be better. But just to let score know that we dont know how much our wallets can take a disqualification on missing a vcp and or taking an illegal line that was released at a certain time. We made the commitment to prerun and do our best at taking notes. Their is always more to learn and grow from. This one hurts.
I feel for you because I’ve been in your position, won multiple races that have been overturned due to my mistakes or crew or team mate. Many with big win bonuses involved. It feels like Score is stealing from you. But the name of the game is to race clean even though Baja racing once was more free
Great post race video and good input on what should be done with score. The coverage you guys had from spectators was some of the best I have seen down there keep up the good work. Me and my brothers would like some lessons and any advice from u so we can get faster down in Baja for our next race.
We offer Baja training from our Ranch in Apple Valley, Ca. Perfect for learning how to ride safe and smart, learn how to attack whoops, flat track corners, dissect 2 track, race strategy. We are also working on a “Baja Racing/Training ride” in advance of the Baja 500 if you’re interested reach out via colton@championadventures.com
IMO DQ's are not warranted unless it's blatant, otherwise a 30 min to 1hr penalty would be more appropriate and minimal points should be still awarded, otherwise those teams that were dq'd would hesitate on returning, also teams should be penalized points for not showing up to rider/driver meetings, make the teams sign in at the meetings, yes the meeting can be boring like you said, but they are very important. The lines that are clearly forbidden when shown at the meetings should also be clearly marked physically on the course, to give the racer a chance to back on the correct line, but a penalty not so severe awarded to the racer for entering the forbidden zone.
Love the post race coverage! Hopefully you will do this for the series.

Excellent post race commentary, Colton!
Great coverage, and inside info. Looking forward to the 500 coverage !
Yea Colton. Great updates and recap
Great recap! " You got DQd? Dammmnnn it."
Would be cool if Score put out a race coarse map that had the accurate moto miles throughout the entire coarse.
Good video Colton
That even had me asking those who actually rode course which mile we were at….
Good video, lot's of knowledge...Thx
Come back for the 500 🙌🏽
Racing once was a way I made money, if I go back racing, I’ll need to continue to make money because of the high risk.

Agreed. But they did say "You will be disqualified" Thats enough for me to write it down and obey.
We agree, those are good points.
