Awesome vid! I upgraded from my 128gb SD Card to a 1 TB one. I know, it's overkill, but you'll never know. Especially when it comes to the easy and speedy access in making beats, AS-SOON-AS you even think about one, or two, or 5. It truly comes in clutch with it's mobility. I seriously do take it with me almost everywhere I go and whenever I come up with a melody, or beat idea, I whip it out, and record away. My kids love to sing and make up their own songs and they come up with fun melodies and I take advantage of that as well.
I just literally turned on my Key37 yesterday. I'm so impatient! I hope this will be a good all-in-one to run my backing tracks, send a midi signal out to a DMX converter for lighting sequences programmed to go with each track, and then be able to play some keyboard lines live. I'd love some direction of which videos to watch first.
I do have a question... Have you recorded vocals on it yet? If so, how? I picked up a mic, hooked it up, record vocals, but the song sequences in Midi Mode (Midi Tab), keep being recorded completely off (out of sequence), or tracks wouldn't mute, so I'd have to mute them [in correspondence to where the verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, etc...], while I'm recording vocals in Audio Mode (Audio Tab). A few folks on other channels say that I'd have to select the specific sequences in Midi Mode, transfer them to the Audio Mode sequence section, and to then record vocals to the specific sequences where I want the vocals to come/ punch in, in Audio Mode, rather than recording vocals in Audio Mode with the sequences in Midi Mode. For example, Sequence 1 is the intro (no need for vocals), but then I'd select Sequence 2 which would be Verse 1, and then record vocals their specifically, and so on with Sequence 3 for the pre-chorus, etc... I hope that makes ANY sense. It's hard to explain something when I have no idea how to even explain. I'd might have to post a video and tag/ share it to you. LOL. Can you do a detailed tutorial on recording vocals please? Thank you Brother!
How do you pull those files back up tho? That’s the only problem I’m having. I can’t pull them back up. It only pulls up if I have my settings on Recent Projects but I have to turn it off in order for that to work. HELP HELP HELP
Thank you for your time and knowledge. 👊

Perfect! But each time I take out my SD card it gives me an error message "eject first or may lose data" - how do we eject?
I always just shut it down. Only takes an extra 15 seconds and doesn’t risk corrupting anything by not having it installed.
Great teacher.
Is MPC Documents / Projects the designated location so save on Internal? I accidentally save at root of Internal.

What is the largest SD CARD THAT THE AKAI MPC 37 supports 😊
I'm actually not sure! I checked the manual and don't see anything that defines a limit. Maybe someone else has some experience and can weigh in?
