After I wash my sealing ring in the dishwasher, I put it outside for several hours in the sun. It takes away any smell and turns it back to white. Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs th-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!
About the Sky Genius glass lid as it's tempered glass I use it all the time with my 9-inch Lodge cast iron skillet as it fits perfectly. I have the silicon lid for the instant pot and I'm going to check out a couple of your other suggestions.
Silicone stretch lid covers work with the instant pot. I just bought the Longzon set of 14 covers for $15.99 on Amazon and the 2 extra large covers fit the 8 quart inner pot.
It is very convenient to have extra liner pots. I have a non stick and stainless to supplement my two IP . If I don’t get time to wash and it is in the dishwasher, it’s a saver! I also bought the bag opener-holders. I love them! I make a lot of soup and they really help to get it into the bags to freeze.
I switched from a Power Pressure Cooker to an 8 quart Instant Pot because your recipes and accessories you use. Thank you your recipes are just wonderful.
I just ordered mine from Amazon today! 😁 Been wanting one for over a year, but the price kept scaring me away. Every couple of weeks I take a look at it, sitting there on my wishlist, and today it was $20 less!! Yay!!!! Once I get acquainted with it, I'll decide which extras will benefit me. Thank you for helping people get over The Intimidation Factor. 👍🏻👍🏻
I'm so excited! After looking to order one of the IP glass lids, I went today to a few thrift stores and found one! Got a like brand-new t-fal glass lidfor 2 Dollars! It fits perfectly and snuggly on my 6qt InstantPot and on my t-fal regular pressure cooker! So many exclamation marks!!!! LOL
Oh my gosh I’m having the best time with my instant pot because of you!!! I can’t wait for the cookbook!!! I made dr.pepper pulled pork last night! Talk about delicious!!!!! I got the chop stirrer thingie and the bear claws!!!! The insta pot is a game changer!!!!
I've literally watched like 20 of the "six sister stuff " video's today , because I bought my first Instant pot today! Learning so much on how to use this thing.
2 years later! ♡ the channel! I had no idea you could use a glass lid! I just got my instantpot and use a slow cooker a lot (especially in the winter.) This will save me time & money as I've had to retire my 30 year old crock pot & put her out to pasture. I will not need to buy another one.
Great video as all your videos are. That said, I'd like to see more on cooking with those stackable pans you showed. Not everything has the same cook time so I'd be curious to see what you cook in them! Thanks!!
Silicone egg mold for egg bites similar to Starbucks! I have two which stack nicely to make 14 bites at a time. Totally has revolutionized my mornings!
Thanks for this video. I have been instant potting for about a year. I already had 4 of your six. The two I was missing were the glass lid and the silicone lid, so I'll be adding those soon!
I love the plastic lid. Sometimes is hard to find a container big enough when you do a full pot meal, especially if not eaten straight away. Thanks, I am finding all your videos very handy to get the most use of mine. Cheers!
At 77+ I didn’t think I wanted an instant pot for just one… then they came out with the IP Max that I can pressure can 6 quarts! I am buying meats on sale and pressure canning so I can have instant meals. Have gotten rid of my crockpot, rice maker and popcorn maker! Loving my IP Max. Great video. I always use an appliance first before purchasing extras. Those kits are over kill.
Hi Sis, I enjoy your videos ,you are full of information ! I bought an 8 Quart instant pot Evo Duo Plus and the inner pot has Handles which makes it hold its position when you have to stir the Stew or whatever needs stirring ! I also bought a Mealthy Crisplid which fits the 6 or 8 Quart /instant pot and it turns the Instant Pot into an Air Fryer which works great for anything you want to fry with a minimum of oil (just a spritz or two) I really works great and you don't have to store another big appliance and spend a fortune ! It also will work as a dehydrator !
Thanks so much for this video!. Just bought a 6 qt duo. So far I ordered the non stick second pot for yogurt, the glass lid and two colored rings. I plan to use the clear for yogurt, red for meats, etc. and blue for baking. Those Ecovana pans will go on my list, along with the silicone lid, spring form pan and steamer basket. Looking forward to viewing your channel !
I have the steamer basket, and also the two steamer ones. Unfortunately, I had to pack up some kitchen items and now cant find a couple of these items...:( I just found 1/ 2 of the duo steamer basket.) Thank God for your video, as I now realize what it's to. Silly me! 🤣 I completely agree with your choices, and I 💯 agree with having two of the Instant Pot pots...at leas and the silicone lid. They're such a time-saver and clean up so easily. Alot better than having to dig through your plastic ware to find a bowl and lid big enough. Another good tip is to always leave a space in your fridge for at least one Instant Pot!
Another thing I like is a steamer basket or something for steaming or keeping like your vegetables or like chicken out of the water. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the heads up i got my Instant pot yesterday and will be trying it out tomorrow, already got the second pot (It came before the Instant Pot lol) good to know what else works as there seems to be loads of stuff... P.S. Nice to see romance is alive and well in your household, if i was to buy my wife a pot for Christmas i would be sleeping with my eyes open for a month lol.. anyway thanks once again and have a happy and better New Year
Cooked beef stew for the first time today with my instapot. Now I’m obsessed with what else to cook next. Definitely need a second pot. I need that pan for cheesecake too! The silicone lids look handy. Thanks
Same here! Just got my pressure cooker 4 days ago and have already used it 6 times. Can't get enough and keep looking for what else to make in it, lol. Definitely have to try a cheesecake soon. This is a kitchen game changer!
The red sealant ring only for desserts is like the "good sewing scissors." It's Cyber Monday and Amazon has the InstaPot 6 Qt Duo for $65. I'm going for it. Will maybe get suggested accessories in future.
The double pan with the rack I have for my 3 quart because my kids are grown and I’m cooking for myself. Works great. I also have a cheesecake pan for my 3 quart and for sure my favourite is my instant pot rubber top. I make my dinner eat some and put the rest straight into the fridge with the top on. Dinner is a breeze and no dishes to wash
I’m SO glad to hear that you can make popcorn in the instant pot! We used to have an air popper but it broke and I’ve been missing that “healthier popcorn” ever since 😁
I made two instant pot recipes with my IP and I am hooked. So fun. My husband got me the IP for Xmas and I told him best present ever! Thx for this informative video.
I love the INSTANTPOT SO MUCH, I USE IT ALL THE TIME, I ALSO JUST RECENTLY BOUGHT ANOTHER POT FROM AMAZON, THANKS TO YOU FOR TELLING ME ABOUT IT. I WILL SOON ORDER ME THE SEALABLE LID, YOU ARE GREAT, AND SO DOWN TO EARTH, THANKS SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!
Thanks for the suggestions. I just ordered the sealing rings. (I hadn’t even thought I could buy replacements.) I do already own a second pot and the silicone lid! ;). Now I have a suggestion: I own a steamer basket by HOME AGAIN. (It came with an orange plastic or silicone? covered handle, but I removed that so the handle is just steel.) It works great for steaming larger amounts of veggies.
Ok, this was a really good video. Usually the "must have" videos are made by cults, fanatics, or zealots, but this video was made by someone who is passionate about Instant Pot cooking and just wanted to share her experience with others (such as myself, who is not in a cult, is not a fanatic or zealot). Not sure which idea I like the most, but using different rings to manage odors or the silicon lid were probably my favorites. Again, thank you and nicely done.
@jerryhermann7233 Honestly, I didn't remember. This was a long time ago. I started out with a cheap bella brand pressure cooker & evetually got the Pampered Chef quik cooker through hosting a party. I did end up buying an extra set of the rings for the quik cooker.
Thanks for these great tips!! I'm new to pursue cookers so I'm soaking it all in, lol. My Chef IQ came with a white/translucent sealing ring and a black one. I've been using the black one for staining/stinky stuff (like soups, stews, tomato based dishes) and my white one for sweets and non staining things (oatmeal, gains, etc.). Nice! My pot also came with one of those silicone lids, now I have a good idea how to use it! Thanks again!!
I purchased spare pressure indicator with silicone cap, silicone rings, and pressure release knob off Amazon. Murphy works in my kitchen. So if I lose something or a ring gets cracked, I can still cook.
I would like to see the sticky chicken recipe, or a teriyaki chicken recipe!! Also i got a second 6' pot at a thrift store band new!!! $12.99! what a find that was!!! also found a steamer at the same thrift store band new!! for $6.99. Thanks for the suggestions!!!
I just bought a basket with silicone coated handle and feet. Handy for eggs , steaming chunky veggies and actually using it now in a pot to heat up canning lids and rings so I can just lift it out easily.
I subscribed to your channel, & a few other instant pot youtubers, because I'm new to the instant pot family. But this thing is really a lot of work & money, who knew?🤦🏾♀️
I love the silicone lid too!! I also bought the silicone trivet that’s awesome too! I bought the glass lid for slow cooking and it’s a must have for me ❤
Right off the bat I got a 2 nd pan for same reason. 2. Never even heard of it before sounds like a good thing not sure if I would use it though 3. Just ordered for the same reason my rings 4. Wish I had see this 2 days ago also just order an Instant pot lid 5 would have to look up that pan for cheese cake thinking 6. Need the lid Thanks for sharing
I have had the stackable Ekovana inserts for a long time, but have yet to use them! I would love to see some meals cooked with those accessories, cooking two things together.
Thank you for this video. If you have anymore accessories ideas please link me the video thanks. I recently got my IP. Just using it tonight for the first time. I watched a bunch of your video's last week and I must say you eased my mind about using my pot. Meatloaf came out perfect. I have green beans in there now in pot-in-pot. I noticed it is taking more tries to get the beans just the way I want it and I figure because I used pot-in-pot. I will eventually get how minutes I need to do things. I love this pot-in-pot way of cooking. Less mess. I also love those Ecovana stackable pans. I will try to get those.
As a guy this is extremely helpful! My wife doesn't cook and I like eating good tasty foods. This instant Pot cooker is a God send for me. It will save my relationship in the food department! Thank you fir you're videos! Keep them coming please!!😁😎
I ordered a glass lid, silicone lid, and the red and blue ring set from your link. I’ll likely be adding the other three before long... I’m really enjoying my first Instant Pot. Excellent presentation and ideas. Subscribed!
Thank you for your IP accessory recommendations and review! My new IP is due to arrive this Friday from Amazon - so excited! I've enjoyed a few of your other videos about IP; I just wish you were Keto, so your recipes would fit my diet. Thank you!
I have everyone of the extra items except the spring form pan....I am so glad I made some good choices. Have only had my 6 Qt Insta Pot for a week and love it so far.
Curious how to do popcorn in the IP, only did it once in a normal pan. And i know my hubby and sons love popcorn. So pls a simple video on this would be so welcome. Have my IP for 2 weeks now and loving it
Omg thanks for the video . These accessories are a game changer. I was thinking about getting a second instant pot but these gadgets we save me money and time. Especially the stackable and loving the top too . My instant pot insert always looked so sad in my fridge with plastic or foil on top . Thanks again
I just bought an Instant Pot and just wanted to start out with some of the basic must haves, then later get some other things. You were helpful. I have subscribed so I'll be looking for some recipes as well. Thanks!
Great ideas.......I had not seen the cover for the pot. All great suggestions. I had not even thought about a second pot but had that exact situation last week when trying your sticky chicken recipe. I had to do a quick clean up on the pot to make the hibachi rice. Both recipes were a hit here. My grandson pointed at the left over sticky chicken in my refridgerator and said he needed to take that home with him.
This is seriously the best and most useful video I’ve found. I love my Instant Pot, and I’m so happy I stumbled across this channel for valuable tips and recipes!
Great video, and I would agree on all of them, and especially your favorite, the silicone lid...it is awesome...but right up there, for me are the little silicone grips....they come in so handy for lifting the pot liner out and especially when stirring, because we all know the liner spins in the pot when you stir....so, these and the clear lid and the silicone cover are my favorites ....and the grippers are around $6 at Amazon....they look like little crab claws that just cover your fingers up to the knuckle...
Made big mistake making yogurt in stainless steel pot. Had to scour the inside to remove burned on milk. Went to Amazon, purchased the coated IP pot. Now no clean up problems. Reserve the coated pot for yogurt. Use SS pot for everything else.
Love your recipes. I was debating on getting an instant pot and an air fryer. And I found the Ninja Foodi. OMG! The Ninja Foodi does everything. It's a crockpot, a air fryer, a pressure cooker, sauted, dehydrated, and so much more. I would love to see you cook with the Ninja Foodi. It's a must have all in one!
I have a different brand of pressure cooker. I love pressure cooking, but I always thought it should have a stainless steel insert, instead of the nonstick kind. That is a great idea to have an extra pot, and also the stackable inserts. I think I will change tactics, and go with InstantPot. And, I didn't know about the optional lid, that is awesome. Just throw it in the fridge, no saran wrap! I think I need to do this.
I do not have an instant pot but the Nesco/Carey which serves as an instant pot and also a canner. I would love another pot, especially a stainless steel one. Where did you get your pot and how much does it hold please. Love your videos and all your sweet sisters.
After I wash my sealing ring in the dishwasher, I put it outside for several hours in the sun. It takes away any smell and turns it back to white. Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Thank you Nancy! I'll have to try that. My clear ring reeks of Italian seasonings! :)
I do the same…everyday…in Texas!
Thank you guys! I hate the ring turning dingy even though it’s actually clean.
Wow! What a great idea. You would never know right. I never would have thought of that. Brilliant idea!
Wash the ring in the dishwasher or by hand. Then dunk it in vinegar or lemon juice for a minute or two. Bye bye odour.
Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs th-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Steamer basket...love it can make piles of eggs, lift it out with handle and instantly drain noodles, broccoli and everything else!♡
Kristin, I appreciate guys like you and your sister guys who make videos for people who need more information.

Being a bachelor I've been thinking about my cooking skills and this seems like a simple and effective way to introduce more meals I could make.
Highly recommend the "Non stick" liner pots ;) Makes a big difference in clean up :) Trust me on this.
have you got a link please?
@@AngieLozanova Instant Pot Ceramic Non-Stick Interior Coated Inner Cooking Pot ( Amazon sells it ) Great with sticky food.

I just received my first Instant Pot delivered tonight from Amazon! I plan on digging into it tomorrow, but your videos are SO helpful!
Thanks for the tips on what to get for extras. By the way I’m new to your podcasts, and just love watching them. You all do a wonderful job!
Silicone egg mold for egg bites similar to Starbucks! I have two which stack nicely to make 14 bites at a time. Totally has revolutionized my mornings!
Absolutely the egg molds I love for oatmeal bites! Fantastic for days I go early to pool.
Cheers!
I’m a fan of those 4 oz mason jars ... great for individual portions of oatmeal etc

Fantastic! Now I have to look up how to make instant pot popcorn!!
Let me know too please
I really like my Steam Boss steam release diverter. I consider it a must for quick release recipes. Try it - your cabinets will thank you.

I’m SO glad to hear that you can make popcorn in the instant pot! We used to have an air popper but it broke and I’ve been missing that “healthier popcorn” ever since 😁
My family and I are new to Instant Pot, so your videos are making this seem much easier to manage. Thanks for posting.
I was glad to hear that you have that smell because i clean and use everything and yuk . That is a great idea to have another ring
I made two instant pot recipes with my IP and I am hooked. So fun. My husband got me the IP for Xmas and I told him best present ever! Thx for this informative video.
I love the double stacker eggs rack. I can make 18 “boiled” eggs that peel so easily.
So rare to find a "tips" video this useful and well-made! The silicone lid is an especially great tip. Thanks.
We just got an Instant Pot and the wife and I love it. You have a wonderful channel with lots of great tips and ideas. Keep going with it.
I just got an Instant Pot and your videos have really helped me.
Same here!
These are awesome. My 1 accessory is a steamer basket. I use it to hard boil eggs mostly, but it works for steaming anything.
Kristin, thank you so much for all of these instant pot tips and treasures. I absolutely love your Channel.
great ideas... I really like the silicone lid. I am going to order one.
Thanks for the suggestions. I just ordered the sealing rings. (I hadn’t even thought I could buy replacements.) I do already own a second pot and the silicone lid! ;). I love the sling for easy removal of pans
I love these ideas, especially the silicone lid, having an extra pot, and having an extra sealing ring to use for deserts! Thanks for sharing!
Didnt your pot come with an extra ring?
@jerryhermann7233 Honestly, I didn't remember. This was a long time ago. I started out with a cheap bella brand pressure cooker & evetually got the Pampered Chef quik cooker through hosting a party. I did end up buying an extra set of the rings for the quik cooker.
Thanks for these great tips!! I'm new to pursue cookers so I'm soaking it all in, lol. My Chef IQ came with a white/translucent sealing ring and a black one. Nice! My pot also came with one of those silicone lids, now I have a good idea how to use it! Thanks again!!
I am so glad that we are able to help!!
Thanks so much. This was very informative. I'm going to try the Cheesecake in Plant Based style.
Girl you are even more awesome than my Instapot!! Appreciate the tips!
I’m a bit late. Been wanting one for a while and it’s pretty awesome. Excellent suggestions I especially like the lid.
Thank you for confirming I need another rubber ring. Mine has the "smell." I loved the other items as well.
Wife followed her advice, now no stressing about trying to clean that smell 😉
I purchased spare pressure indicator with silicone cap, silicone rings, and pressure release knob off Amazon. Murphy works in my kitchen. So if I lose something or a ring gets cracked, I can still cook.
You would look smashing with bangs. Thank you for all your tips. I 💕 my pot.
I love my Red instant pot sling instead of the metal trivet that comes with the IP. It taller and easier to get my stuff out.

Is the silicone lid, one size fits all?
I just recently found your site. I love your introduction page with your sisters. Thank you for answering all my questions.
I love the silicone lid too!! I also bought the silicone trivet that’s awesome too! I bought the glass lid for slow cooking and it’s a must have for me ❤
It's so awesome!
Right off the bat I got a 2 nd pan for same reason.
2. Never even heard of it before sounds like a good thing not sure if I would use it though
3. Just ordered for the same reason my rings
4. Wish I had see this 2 days ago also just order an Instant pot lid
5 would have to look up that pan for cheese cake thinking
6. Need the lid
Thanks for sharing
I have had the stackable Ekovana inserts for a long time, but have yet to use them! I would love to see some meals cooked with those accessories, cooking two things together.

Thanks for the great tips! Any chance you will make a video on how to cook brownies and other desserts in the Instant Pot?
I ordered a glass lid, silicone lid, and the red and blue ring set from your link. I’ll likely be adding the other three before long... I’m really enjoying my first Instant Pot. Excellent presentation and ideas. Subscribed!
Thank you for all your videos!!
Btw, I love your hair in this video!!
Loved all your advise about the things for my insta pot to make my life easier . So exited to start this journey with my kids . 🙌🏻🤗👍🏻
Thank you for your IP accessory recommendations and review! My new IP is due to arrive this Friday from Amazon - so excited! I've enjoyed a few of your other videos about IP; I just wish you were Keto, so your recipes would fit my diet. Thank you!
Very informative and helpful!!!
Stranger in the Instantpot wilderness. Thanks for the guidance!
I have everyone of the extra items except the spring form pan....I am so glad I made some good choices. Have only had my 6 Qt Insta Pot for a week and love it so far.
I want them all! Love the silicone lid! Great video. Thank you.
Please show us recipes using #2! I have those and I can’t figure out what two things I can cook at the same time in those!
Curious how to do popcorn in the IP, only did it once in a normal pan. And i know my hubby and sons love popcorn. So pls a simple video on this would be so welcome. Have my IP for 2 weeks now and loving it
Insta pot NEEDS to be funding you!! Your awsome!
The silicone egg holder is great for making HB eggs too!
Omg thanks for the video . These accessories are a game changer. I was thinking about getting a second instant pot but these gadgets we save me money and time. Especially the stackable and loving the top too . My instant pot insert always looked so sad in my fridge with plastic or foil on top . Thanks again
Awesome! I live in a tiny house, so my Instant Pot IS my stove practically. This was great, just ordered all my stuff to go with. Thanks!
Oh how wonderful! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Since I am a newbie to the instant pot, this is extremely helpful for me! Thank you so much!! 😍
You are so welcome! Thanks for stopping by!
Sandra Fisher could you please give us your hibachi rice recipe?!!! Thank you.
itsallaboutHim777 six sisters recipe
Sorry I was wrong ......that recipe was Pressure Luck
I have 3 pots and I love them!
You’re just awesome, I always feel better after watching your videos.
This is seriously the best and most useful video I’ve found. I love my Instant Pot, and I’m so happy I stumbled across this channel for valuable tips and recipes!
I just bought the Ultra 8 qt and it hasn’t arrived yet... I’m so excited. This video is so helpful!
This video was sooo helpful. I’m definitely buying a second pot.
You gals are the BEST! Thanks for getting me going with my new Instant Pot
Just got my instant pot going to use it this weekend and your videos are very helpful. Thanks
Thank you so much for all of the recipes & great ideas! I'm new to the IP world & appreciate all of the help.
I have a non-stick pot for my IP and that is my favorite
That's what I was going to suggest, too!
hey Krista : i bought a silicon vent diverter to keep it from shooting up into my ceiling. you should try one.. AMAZON of course.
I do not have an instant pot but the Nesco/Carey which serves as an instant pot and also a canner. I would love another pot, especially a stainless steel one. Where did you get your pot and how much does it hold please. Love your videos and all your sweet sisters.
