    This plugin is so authentic, it'll have you questioning whether you're watching a video or witnessing a 'mur-mur'-ation of real birds, entire flocks that move and behave with 'tweet' precision, delivers 'feather'-perfect results every time!"

    how do i get my butterflies to stop wiggle around and stay still? you said to watch this video but im not seeing where that was covered

    • @creationeffects
      @creationeffects  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi. at 18:52 it starts explaining the Wiggle controls. You will need to turn down the all the "Wiggle Amount" controls to remove all the motion in your butterflies. To make them stop flapping their wings, you'll need to keyframe the checkbox named "Turn on Manual Control", in the "Wing Flapping" section of controls.

    Is there a way to make the flock fill a certain shape?

    • @creationeffects
      @creationeffects  ปีที่แล้ว

      There's no way to do it automatically, but it can be done. I would put the leader bird in the middle of the shape, and then adjust the "Spread" controls and decrease the Wiggle Amount controls to bring all the birds close to the shape. You can then position each bird manually to more precisely fill the shape. You can move each bird individually by adjusting the Position property of the 1st layer (top layer) of each bird. If the birds have still some wiggle added to them, they're going to quickly exit the shape's boundaries, so if you need them to fly around inside the shape, it's going to take more work and more keyframing.

    Hi there, any tips on how to loop this seamlessly? I feel like the random values might make that hard, but any advice would be appreciated :)

    • @creationeffects
      @creationeffects  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You would need to start the animation with all of the Wiggle Amount values at 0, and then keyframe them to increase in the first few seconds. Animate the leader bird to fly in a circle/loop. Then as the reach the end of the loop, keyframe wiggle values back down to 0. The wing flapping might not be seamless, but if the wings are flapping quickly, no one would notice. Or you could animate the wings manually in Manual Mode.

    Do you know how i can change the duration of the birds flying? I added my footage to the comp and its set to 1:55 minutes but the nested comps stay 30 seconds?

    • @creationeffects
      @creationeffects  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you double-click a nested comp layer, the comp will open and you can change the duration in the "Composition Settings" panel. Make sure all the layers are extended to go to the end of the comp. Then be sure to extend the layers in your main comp.

    I am exporting the exact way you are - same setting in media coder etc, and my crows have a white glow around them (I have them flying against a fairly dark sky). It looks like that photoshop halo effect you get when you cut something out poorly. Any ideas how to get rid of this? they look OK in after efffects, its just when I render.

    • @creationeffects
      @creationeffects  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't really say without seeing your project. Did you render with an alpha channel and then composite them on the dark sky? Or render them with the dark sky? If alpha channel, try changing the Straight/Premultiplied option in the export settings.

    • @badmaryband
      @badmaryband 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@creationeffects I rendered with alpha. I am then projecting the video onto a dark grey background. I tried using levels and just cranked the black. In after effects they look like silhouettes (which is what I want), even when I put them in another comp or where ever, but when I render, they have the glow. I'll try the premultiplied thing.

    How we can increase the duration of the bird appearance inside comp without getting inside each sub-comp and change it there?

    • @chadiabo1972
      @chadiabo1972 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      for now it seems to be only 30 sec

    • @creationeffects
      @creationeffects  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll have to change the duration of the precomps, and then extend the layer durations. It shouldn't take long - you don't have to do it for every bird, since each bird uses the same precomps. The shortcut, after you open the precomp, is Control-K, or Command-K.

    • @chadiabo1972
      @chadiabo1972 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@creationeffects OK great, but in the case, I am using a 15 segments bird, that will force me to open each and extend?

    • @creationeffects
      @creationeffects  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chadiabo1972 Yes. All you're doing is extending the duration of the precomps, then extending the layers inside. I don't think it should take more than 2 minutes.

    Hello, how do I start from scratch like you did at around 20:39?

    • @creationeffects
      @creationeffects  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Hugo. I would just set all the controls in the "General" section and "Wiggle" sections to zero. Then you can follow along with the tutorial, adding values to the controls one by one.
