When I went, I was all geared up with chalk and shoes as well... then some unsupervised little kids pass me on sneakers like they're running up stairs.
There are some who have made this ascent in roller skates, done it at night, and one guy did it in a pair of cross country skis! It is basically a nice hike for those seeking elevation quickly. Bring a rope for a quick exit off the rappel lanes at the top.
How experienced of a climber do you have to be to climb this? It looks really fun and I want to do it so bad but I’m not sure if it just looks easy because you guys are all very experienced. I have only climbed with ropes a handful of times. I love scrambling up rocks and waterfalls in North Carolina. I’m visiting Boulder and don’t want to miss this opportunity. Should I do it? Any tips?
if you haven't already taken your trip to boulder and you have experience climbing i say go for it! But find someone to follow. the only confusing part could be the exit off onto the trail. tons of people go up this all day long so if you get confused theres tons of spots to rest and wait for someone to pass you, or just ask someone at the base before you climb it
@@dancer1 its an easy route so he is teasing. I myself have never used chalk on this route but i don't hate. If someone feels more comfortable using it then by all means.
For when you want a good workout and a good time, speed solo the flatirons! I've done this one so many times now it feels like a hike lol.

There’s a picture of a guy going up the 3rd flatiron in full snorkeling gear. Flippers and all!

@@TritonTv69420 is Flatiron #2 the easiest?
@@klivityloja3067 It is the easiest, the other four are steeper. I've done #2 a few times, haven't worked up the bravery to do any of the others yet.
Nice :0 Your video is giving mine views!!

Do you go back the same way you came? Or do you climb down the other side? I'd be fine doing this going up, but bitch not going down
There is a trailhead at the top you can get to and take it down
HOW DO YOU GET DOWN!?
Some people climb down but you end up at the trail. So you just hike down. Down climbing is more sketchy!
Super chill trail on the way down
Though easy terrain, climbing this with a camera in one hand is not the smartest plan. Silly
lol chalk
Warm day and novice climbers ;P
What’s wrong with chalk

@@TritonTv69420 when’s the last time you’ve done it?
@@dancer1 I was just poking fun. There is nothing wring with chalk especially if it helps you. Just don’t see it a lot on 4th class routes
