I have a friend who has only three fingers on his left hand, and he plays the guitar better than me! It's amazing! He misses, the index and the middle fingers! He is left handed! Don't give up guys! Practice, practice, practice.......etc... and you"ll make it!
Its cool how you can see the person with the camera reflected in the glossy finish of the guitar's headstock. For you nice folks having trouble with A to B min chord change...practice only that change. See how many times you do it in 60 seconds. Keep repeating that drill for that change, and you'll find it becomes easier. It will take a few days of this to get it. Practice and don't give up.
I know a lot of songs , but my brain is starting well for a few years now forgetting all my old shit , but it kicks ass when I remember something old I used to play . That’s how you know your a garage band rock star..... - albie
What an epic song with deep meaning from a time when things felt so different. It's good to see you keep it slow. I always wind up pushing and rushing it through. Something I hear in the song and I do different is with both E chords, I hear the revolving melody line during those chords as well. And when playing alone, It's better to play them rather than leaving them implied (IMO). So on the Esus4 to EMaj and then parts, for 3, reach up with your pinky and hit the F# on the 4th string and then for 4, resolve on The EMaj again. With the Emin part, 2 has the pinky on the 4th fret of the second string, 3 has the third on the 2nd fret of the 1st string and then 4 resolves back on the Emin. So the walking continues throughout the parts where it is heard. Hopefully, you hear it too and agree. Now to find someone who can sing the Yoko part! LOL Keep bringing it!
Cool , kind of thought the Time signature was 6/8 wish I could leave out that second strum , it's there in my head. I do add the F# at the last of the E chord. Been learning the seasonal song over a month, In most list this song come in the top ten. The Eagles and U2 Xmas songs make most top ten list.. Cool
JVS...forget about the 6th and 5th strings (E and A) and just play the standard Bm configuration on the first 4 strings (strum), then lift the middle finger (strum), then life the index finger (strum), the play the Bm configuration again...4 configs in all.
it's in 12/8...with sus 2 ..add9 major and minor...but everybody it's a simple song...nice lesson..but darn I wish Teachers wouldn;t use the term "Easy"...especially when this song ISN'T for anyone who's just a beginner
@tweedmusic Yeah I could really take a few more drumming lesson.. 3/4 speed up is how I look at 6/8 when I hear 12/8, I think cool old blues.shuffle feel, Seems you can count one two over and over as a guitarist and stay in time. Merry Christmas to you .
Really informative and you’re HONESTLY a much better guitar player than me as you obviously have so much more experience but I must say this. If you’d just focused more on the chords themselves, it would’ve been alittle easier and not so drawn out. The guitar pattern you can pretty much pick up from hearing the song but the chords are the trickier part Nice video though still helped
Dang, I always get stuck when a song has a bar chord :/ Such a shame, this is a really beautiful song and I'd love to be able to bust it out around the holidays when I'm feeling it. Those bar chords are impossible for me, though. I felt the same way when I was 12 trying to play Guitar Hero on hard mode (lol). "6 buttons? That's impossible, I only have 5 fingers!"
you talk to fast and you are showing the chords to quick i didnt like it but over all i do love this song there are so many different ways to play this song on the guitar.....
this song has the same rhythm as you've got hide your love away. another great song by John.. Thanks for the lesson.. always wanted to play this song.

CallMeQkef can you play the bar chord now??⚡️
Yea how bout now, bar chords were a problem for me too but I got the hang of it later on..
Bar chords are hard at the beggining, but the more you play them, the easier it gets :)
Ganja Gamer how? I suck at giving tips but i can try to help you
The Difficult is done right away. The Impossible takes a bit longer! Keep plugging away at it!!
@851852093114208513 OH I get it. Yeah true, both of those songs contain a liberal use of sus chords throughout. :)
merci
This song would sound very good with mandolin accompaniment, I think.
its a john lennon solo song not a beatles song, but i like your point!
It sound like "Summer of 69"!!!!!
just practise a lot!
I've been playing this with A-Bm-E-A-D chords. It. is confusing how many versions there are :k
You are very talented! But you should do the videos a bit shorter beacuase they are a bit too long;D
i dont understand how people can do bar grips so easily. I have to choke my guitar with all the grip strength i can possibly muster to get it right...
numen hilmar mee too man that is so fucking painful after some time
show the lead part please young man thank you
i dont know why the angle its always down to up we aint see shit should be up to down
missing lots of détails in the actual playing!!!
Your crab lol
you talk to fast and you are showing the chords to quick i didnt like it but over all i do love this song there are so many different ways to play this song on the guitar.....

Thank you so much!
