Fran loves bling, glitz, big hair, lots of make-up, stilettos, and money. She has an overbearing mother. She’s brash, loud and abrasive. And she loves wearing highly styled, brightly coloured outfits. She is the antithesis of the rarefied crowd in which she finds herself. Her theme song provides the answer to your question: “She’s the lady in red when everyone is wearing beige.” My mother used to tell me that beige was the favourite colour of the horsey and country club set - the country clubs that historically kept out the Frans of the world, of which I am one. Simply put, Meghan wears beige to look like what she isn’t. And never will be.
It was pretty bad honestly. The writing was crap. She was just the sex interest in the show. We stopped watching it after the first couple of seasons so no idea what ended up happening with the story. It was easy to give up on.

I recently watched videos of Princess Catherine and Prince William on royal tours. The way that Princess Catherine doesn't repeatedly claw and hold onto her husband, just goes to show what a strong and independent and beautiful woman she is in her own right. They are a lovely couple to watch together. A team and a strong unit!
I don't know, I believe she sees the clothes on the models and pokes the buy button without considering how it will look on her frame. I am a short statured woman and long flowy gowns would look ridiculous on me. I buy clothes for comfort, sometimes a size up because I shop at the charity shops so I save money, repurpose and reuse and look like a proper granny while shopping.

As I recall, the first time Meghan made an issue of wearing beige, was when she was asked to wear blue for a Royal family photo. She wore beige as an act of defiance, and noncompliance and/or autonomy. With that in mind Jen, I think your opinion on her “giving us all the beige middle finger”, is right on the mark.
I strongly disagree. She can cry "racism" whenever a plate is white, she is served with white wine and has soooo white carbonara, and he can grumble whenever another customer has more sausages than him.
As a daughter of a complete narcissist, HG is completely correct AND Nancy is completely right! Beige is worn by Meghan because “color” would outshine HER! I would believe that at certain events, the plan is to wear a certain color(s) to coordinate together, or at official engagements, to have Queen Elizabeth be the focus. (As in being asked to not wear the same color the Queen is wearing at that event). Which makes sense, and is not unreasonable. My favourite colour? Blue, in many different shades. The blue of Santorini rooftop tiles. Ultramarine blue. Royal blue, ultraviolet blue , sky blue, cobalt blue. Turquoise. Kingfisher blue.. Cornflower blue. Powder blue. Baby blue. Hyacinth blue which has a hint of smokey pale mauve. So many blues, always been my favourite colour. .

I just bought a lemon yellow dress from the thrift shop because it fit me. My mom, she lives next door, and the lady at the cash machine both thought it was one of the best colors for me! $7 for a cute frock is great in my book.

Im an Interior Designer, who moved every couple of years, because my husband was a National Park Ranger. I've completely painted and sewed and decorated different styles of houses. New houses are always painted Navaho white, ahich is really beige. I hate it. We got a spray painter and some vanilla white paint and covered a cinder block house in Las Vegas, inside and out. Then used fabric to bring in color. My houses a!ways sold on the first day they were listed and thtalways asked for the curtains. People say that my style makes them feel at home.

One thing that could improve is to lighten up her dark hair, so it won't look so draining on her face

I agree with HG, she thinks she looks fabulous in beige. And beige is the color associated with discreet chic and wealth, which is the image she wants to give herself. She is obviously anything but chic but for me these are the two reasons for her obsession with beige. She deliberately wore the red ball gown because she new it was inappropriate to wear red on that occasion and she wasn't gotto be given the microphone so she needed a way to attract all of the attention. Catherine often wears bright colours , looks happy and gorgeous. Doesn’t matter what Meghan wears, she always looks like she’s out of some cheap department store. Always ill fitting, doesn’t suit her figure and of course always inappropriate. She has no class and definitely looks that part.
The Kennedy’s were considered American “Royalty” and the “Prince” was JFK Jr. When he married Caroline Bessette she became the one to watch for fashion. CBK was known for her impeccable fashion sense and loved to wear neutral colors, black, white, BEIGE and people loved her style. I think she is trying to emulate her because it will elevate her status and exceed CBK because she married a true-born Prince.

Im an Interior Designer, who moved every couple of years, because my husband was a National Park Ranger. I've completely painted and sewed and decorated different styles of houses.
New houses are always painted Navaho white, ahich is really beige. I hate it. We got a spray painter and some vanilla white paint and covered a cinder block house in Las Vegas, inside and out. Then used fabric to bring in color.

I about died when monochromatic clothing - especially lots of beige and brown - were trendy back in the 1990s.

@harrietwoolever6180 Meghan can get away with colours to blend in with her skin tone, but she over does it and misses the point every time , but wearing beige makes her skin tone dirty and the over kill on the spray tan, its greasy looking, dark skin people really make those colors come alive. One thing that could improve is to lighten up her dark hair, so it won't look so draining on her face
