Thank you for doing this important work. I hope HG will be accurately ethical as every professional. This is a mental health disorder and people are not narcissists. They are human beings. They are people with a mental health disorder and this does not mean they are evil or bad! It means we must apply psychological health and safety measures with the lenses of emotional and cognitive compassion and empathy for each individual who has this disorder. Please do get this right HG. I’m tired of you calling people a medical label. It is unethical and wrong. We don’t call people cancer because they have cancer so stop calling people with narcissism a narcissist. Be ethically accurate HG. ❤ it’s in ya to do so. 😇🌿🤍🖤💔❤️‍🩹

I found this interview compelling, Andrew & HG, in that, you rarely meet a self-aware narcissist.
Mostly, they will gaslight you into thinking it's your behaviour that is the problem. Very insightful.

The irony is people will watch this and think he is a nice guy, or that the abuse he enacts upon others is a form of self protection..
They will ignore everything he says, although, he warned everyone and told them exactly who he is...
The most important thing I have learned is not to judge others potential behavior based upon my perception of morality or what I believe they are capable of...Listen to them and believe them when they tell you who they are.

That's the exact point she's making, that people will ignore him telling them what he is because their own feelings prevail.
You can see it all over his YT comments, women telling him he's wonderful and witty and so, so clever with seemingly no need to the fact this fuels him. Plenty of them are fangirling over a purely parasocial relationship and ignore what he's saying about himself - I'm sure there's a hefty subset that either think they can save him, he's really not that bad, just needs love etc. It's really strange.

Erkhm... I think you missed a lot of anti-trans statements J.K. Rowling made. Especially the essay she wrote on the subject - she gives her opinion and it is clearly transphobic.
Just because she thinks she is right and expresses her opinion does not mean that it is actually true. She is a white cis woman and refuses to listen to transgender women voices that tell her why what she said is harmful and why it is wrong.
JK may not think she is transphobic but she behaves that way.
Also, just because her work "brought joy to people" that does not mean she has a immunity from public opinion and cannot do no wrong.
Be critical of the people you admire and works you enjoy - refusing to see any wrong doing just because you like someone or their work actually shows that you not only lack empathy but are easy to manipulate.

Cruelty made him feel powerful. He also has a very successful career because his facade fools many who he encounters. It is true that they see any vulnerability as weakness and ALL of their relationships are transactional- including with their own children.

@@suzanne7813 Although they project self-confidence, narcissists actually have very low self-esteem. They don't trust others, and while vulnerability is necessary in any meaningful relationship, they cannot tolerate criticism or any form of non-compliance. They must have total control of their surroundings and the people in it.
People who exhibit trust, empathy, caring, consideration for others are held in contempt because they see that as an invitation to be taken advantage of. It's all part of their alternate reality and it's totally messed up.

    • @REDinitial
      @REDinitial ปีที่แล้ว +41

@@suzanne7813 I know this is not adressed to me but I will try to respond nontheless. A narcisist/antisocial behaviour person of this kind will see empathy as a weakness because it is not a self serving action. Anything that puts the self at a disadvantage will be perceived by them as a lacking trait. In a way, they are right, not being totally selfish means one might take actions which don't serve them the best. Now, there are reasons why this is a useful and required trait in society but a narcissist is incapable of perceiving it that way.

    • @Raelven
      @Raelven ปีที่แล้ว +39

@@suzanne7813 I've had it explained to me in this way: The narcissism causes the narcissist to see others as an extension of themselves. There's no "me, and you", just "me, and you are an extension of me".
So anything done by the other person, that threatens the narc getting needs met, is akin to the narcissist attacking themselves. So that needs to be eliminated. This happens on a subliminal level, and it is why when you embarrass the narcissist, the payback is swift and harsh.
Just another side of a very complex disorder. I had to be on the receiving side to even begin to grasp what it means, and I still learn new insights, all the time.

Their soul becomes consumed with fear and deception jealousy envy greed. They live by their animal, nature only and narcissists are, very good at survival and can be sucessful. You will find that love empathy kindness forgiveness is not necessary for survival. Animals are tricky and really evolution has no niceness about it as death is necessary for evolution.

That was absolutely brilliant, scary but brilliant!!! I too am an empath and it took me years to say "No!". I was in my thirties when someone called me a "Bitch" because of it. I smiled at them and said, "Thank you". I am constantly striving to protect myself so that I am not sucked in by others problems and then taken advantage of. In the past, I have given to the point of compromising myself. I give and do things for others because it gives me great joy. It seems I am the flip side of a narcissist. It seems that where they are controlling and manipulative to get what the want, I behave from my heart without thinking. So I am doing my best to be aware. I won't change who I am because I like myself, but I can learn to protect myself by learning what I can from outspoken people. God help us! :-). Thank you fellas!!!

Any type of a human being is ok as long as they find who to couple with :-) We target each other's parts that is not important to us but important to partner, and so we both gain and neither really suffer :-D I know his manipulations and his absence of shame etc and it works very well for both :-D I am very sure narcissists can be valuable humans as well if they only get the right direction and surroundings where their needs are not demonized but understood and met and in fact, better than sociopaths or psychopaths, they can work hard to make their needs met, so maybe we just need more education about all these personalities and see where who fits in society to benefit it.

I agree, particularly at 3.00 minutes. He asks a very specific question, one which rattles the guy in my opinion, one which was unexpected and daresay has not ever been asked before or perhaps was asked with such non judgemental child like curiosity that it threw the guy being interviewed. Notably it came after speaking specifically and more in depth about not ever being good enough over the physical and sexual abuse which he has to some extent managed to block out, repress, glaze over. He's not a psychopath, he's a broken little boy that can be healed and indeed in turn has a powerful capacity to heal others. He can keep deluding himself that he is not in pain by deriving quote unquote pleasure and temporary satisfaction/relief from inflicting, being the instigator of another's pain/discomfort/grief - all the myriad of emotions he can no longer feel - will no longer allow himself to be vulnerable enough to feel because it is unsafe to do so. Say a prayer for that little boy, hold him tight and be his protector and in that little boy may you see every little boy, every little girl, may you see you, God, Love. 🙏🏽💓

He's not as bad as he describes. By saying he is, helps to make people understand these conditions, rather than, " I think this is what they are" - it gives more credibility.
Everything he is saying is correct and he is clearly a very intelligent and knowledgeable man on this subject but my guess is he is playing the character of a narcissist. Having lived with one for 13 years and struggled to get him out of my life for 7yrs after we split up, I think HG Tudor knows this subject inside and out, but my instincts tell me he isn't one really.
One of the BIGGEST traits of a narcissist, is their fear of being exposed and they will fight to the death and twist everything to avoid that exposure of their failures/scheming and lies. Being exposed risks people not loving and admiring them. Taking MM look at ALL the lies on Oprah, Netflix, Spare, Finding Freedom, Endgame, cancelling her family (the people who can expose her), cancelling former friends, cancelling the royals etc. She will stop at nothing, no matter the hurt and damage to people who once she would have loved.
HG Tudor, wouldn't expose himself as a narcissist because he risks people cancelling him. So he's either playing a role, or he's not as bad as he thinks. Either way, he's great and all other information is spot on and delivered very very well. I'm a huge fan.

What a terrific interview with HG Tudor. He is an extremely intelligent person to listen to, plus I think it is so good that he informs us first hand the life of HIS narcissism. I'm a woman of senior years and I appreciate that reading books or listening to experts on this subject is good, but to be able to listen to someone who can so clearly explain his level and that of so many different types of narcissist is jaw dropping. He has such a lovely voice that I can see how people can be drawn in so easily. I will most definitely follow up on his other sites, since this interesting interview Andrew. I have been following him over Meghan for quite a time now, he tells it as it is, no sugar coating about this woman who suddenly feels so entitled that she can TRY to lecture my gender as to what we are, how we have missed out etc, etc. Her lying is so obvious she is treating us as fools and in no way thinking to help our gender at all!! This is all for own gratification, for I feel that as a child she was spoilt rotten, her father tried his very best bless him, then when she became an adult and started acting she played various characters, now she is in the spotlight, a place she always wanted to be in, she really does not know who she is, hence the constant changing of herself. Also Andrew, those women who had put you down for your comments about women and how they feel etc they are fools!! If we women feel we can comment about men and their feelings, then men should be able to comment on us. This ruddy feminism lark is making me sick, they crush men saying they can do without them, then in the next breath they are screaming out that men should be helping them, saw it in the 60's and now again it's rearing it's head. I have never been a slave to ANYONE!!! If I wanted to do something I did it, so I never felt the need to join the burn your bra brigade from the 60's. TRG's site the other day had an extremely interesting talk with lots of information about Gloria Steiner's involvement in the CIA and how Meghan is very involved with her and could possibly be linked with the same cause and intentions, well worth listening to. Thank you once again Andrew really worth listening to.

It may be that you only saw the flags that were over your "threshold". Kind of like only noticing how hot the weather is, when it goes over your heat threshold. If you're used to being ignored or forgotten about, for example, you may not notice when someone ignores you. It's ironic that HG Tudor sees empathy as weakness. I see his affliction as a weakness. He is the very definition of stunted. I imagine his brain, like a computer, just mostly shut down to preserve his sanity in order to survive the trauma. I was also abused as a kid but I wouldn't give up any of the pain I feel (for myself or others) because I can also experience the beautiful things in life with the same emotional intensity. He is a rare egg in that he owns up to and speaks freely about his inner workings. All narcissists I know would never admit, to others or to themselves, that they are a narcissist. I'm curious what led him to get diagnosed and begin to delve into this self-discovery. There had to be something in his life that wasn't working for him.

I was a caregiver for an elderly narcissistic lady and she was something to behold. As an empath I was amazingly able to observe her behaviour and reactions without it impacting too much but it inevitably did. She also had no feelings for animals and even drowned a squirrel although said she wouldn't do that again. She cut bees and wasps in half to get rid of them. Strangely whenever she took morphine (not for pain) and I walked into her house I could feel the difference in the atmosphere being far less *prickly*. She used to play caregivers off against each other whenever she was bored. You couldn't believe anything she said at all, not even the most innocuous things.

Narcs have a pretty level view of exactly what they are doing. It’s because it’s a mask for a lot of other crap. It’s the other crap that leaves them numb and the mask gives them credit in the real world to act. It takes a lot of literature and analysis to get to this point; however. My mom even in her senility has this capability a lot of the time. But she still goes off and it’s pretty awful. I have had to phone people to apologize.

l think the hardest narc relationship is when the narcissist is your own adult child. Narcissistic spouses/parents/siblings are often discussed, but rarely Narcissistic children. This, I feel, is the most difficult situation since we generally love our children unconditionally so it's almost impossible to go 'no contact' here. The hurt and pain is indescribable when it's a beloved child.

I’m new to that idea, but am experiencing it right now with my child, it’s utterly destructive and heartbreaking. They literally have no empathy or desire to understand any other view than their own, and if I don’t provide them with something of value - whatever that is - then I have no value. So I’ve been cut free. I can’t get my head around it. It’s so sad to watch it and be powerless to change the path they’re on… And of course I’ve lost my child. It’s like a bereavement

    - HD comes with the scary voice. He knows that's an asset.
    - I love certain terms he uses, such as fuel matrix and hybrids.
    - After a lifetime of feeling too much, I get it when he says that it's a weakness. I now avoid people so I don't feel tossed around by emotions.
    - I was with a narc for over 20 yrs. Physically distant for 6. Tried to stay friends was an experiment; watching his methods so I could validate all I felt in those past years was 100% valid and not due to, as he still states, my being "dramatic".
