I was with this band from the start as friend/soundman/roadie. Classmates with the drummer, lead player and organ player. I was at Golden Voice Studio in S. Peoria when they recorded this. They did every song in one take. At one time Irving Azoff was interested in them.....damn what could have been!
no kidding They should of been famous.!!!!!!! Too bad the music they would of put out !!!! One that got away !!!Really wish i had a album !!!!!Glad somebody put it on u tube
I like this very much, reminds me of the jams we did when I was about 20. We had a some musical tune ups and some herbal enhancement and away we went for what seemed like ages. Happy days.
Wow ,what a find... another rare gem from your channel .. Thanks.. reminds me of Wishbone Ash ...being a guitar player, I prefer instrumental music...let the guitar do the singing. ,8^J... & Little Rory Gallagher, for sure Allman brothers
Wow - listen to the chiming twin (triple?) lead guitar interplay on the extended outro to Cottonfield Woman from about 22:17 onwards - it really cranks up in complexity at about 22:40 until 23:26. Blindingly good.
Interesting to note, the release on digital platforms has an alternate tracklist. Disc 2 plays first followed by 1 on Apple Music. I wouldn't have known this without the vinyl rip so I appreciate this upload.
I swear I saw this posted a few years ago. I saved it and now its been removed. So thank you for this record. Man, does it sound good, I can hear a little bit of Johnny Winter there along with the Allmans Regards from Ody Slim
Love getting these suggestions! Thanks again for sharing, love the Allman Brothers and these guy's have a similar feel to them with the slow guitar runs. ✌❤🇨🇦🐈
Original copies sell for hundreds now. Just one (legitimate) vinyl reissue of 500 copies over the years on the respected German Shadoks label in 2013 and this now sells for c. £60 itself!! The earlier Shadoks reissue on CD in 2000 is very difficult to track down and I've no idea what it sells for.
C'è anche una ristampa della label italiana Akarma, mi pare del 2002. E' un 33 giri, ma è di formato un pò più piccolo degli altri LP della stessa label.
I believe only a 100 copies were pressed of this originally, with handmade sleeves and handwritten inserts. A copy recently sold for almost $1000 on discogs. Similar rarity to things like Grannie however those go for 3-4x the money usually.
I own an original pressing of the album, no handwritten insert in mine though. My dad went to high school with Gary and played gigs in different bands with them. This is one of my prized pieces.
I had 2 original pressings. My husband and I were friends with the band. We bought albums before we were married. He died 1994. We had a very large album collection. Our turntable no longer worked and we had CDs. While I was working, my oldest son thought he would help me get rid of things he thought I did not need, taking up space. He donated to a charity. I was very disappointed.
If these guys are still out there damn this album rocks for sure please get back in a studio and upgrade this album to new standards although it does sound great totally my type of music.
They had about 50 more songs lined up, but the house that they stored the master tapes in caught on fire. They gave up after that. They're all old and I believe one or two members have since passed.
Love this!!! 💯 Question...Are you familiar with a these lyrics? "You, you, you with your funny, fun, fun. Looking up at the sunny, sun, sun. Butterfly cheeks and lemon hair, Hardly a worry and never a care. In your eyes, the color of love. In her eyes, the color of love" . The song was sampled by an artist named Young Buck, but he did not share the artist's info. It sounds like a 60s-70s psychedelic song. Can you please help?
Hi Marley..not personally familiar with the lyric... however I listened to the Young Buck song and it sounds to me that the lyric is `Lemon Curd Hair` (lemon curd is a well known English desert), it also sounds like the sort of song found in the late sixties film soundtracks...the song could be called `Color of Love` or if it had the English spelling `Colour of Love` I would identify the genre as sunshine pop which as you note often crossed into Psychedelic films/bands Not sure if this really helps...but lets put it out there
RarestRecords Appreciate your response, I will research further on soundtracks with a psychedelic theme to obtain the info. If I come across the artist, I will let you know.
harshil agrawal As of this moment, no. The sample used in the beginning is very rare. I've been listening to a couple of psychedelic pop albums on here for the past few months and there are a few singers who sound like him. If I ever come across the name/artist of this song, I will definitely share it👍

I like this very much, reminds me of the jams we did when I was about 20. We had a some musical tune ups and some herbal enhancement and away we went for what seemed like ages. Happy days.

I have an original pressing. It’s one of the highlights of my vinyl collection for sure.
