Also seems like they tried to fraudulently get the grandmother, who I’m sure wasn’t in her right mind, to sign documents giving the defendant the house or something, but the courts wouldn’t accept it. Both of them definitely seem shady.
Look at the plaintiff when judge Judy explained it to her. She was dumbfounded. It was not just an attempted grift, she actually truly believed she was entitled to something.
Lady: I deserve money from the settlement, I was taking care of grandma Also same lady: There was no verbal agreement that I was supposed to take care of grandma 🤣🤣 She was living rent free in the house for 10 years, with how expensive rent is in California that was already a great deal she got. She should understand she wasn’t in grandma’s will, the law and a contract would always overrule any verbal agreement she had with grandma. This was an extremely silly case 😂
Plaintiff said she paid $200 a month towards bills when they were a couple. They broke up and he thinks she should have paid him $600 a month after that, from what I heard through the mumbling. That $200 did not cover all of her expenses in the house so she got a great deal. I cannot believe she thought she should get half of his inheritance. People still sometimes say common law man and wife in the UK and argue when I tell them it has no legal meaning. If your common law partner dies you are entitled to zero if there's no will.
10 years with no rent and now she is suing this guy. She is not entitled to a dime. Everyone should put this in your will. If anyone contests this will they get nothing.
What a rough case. They both sounded like they were waiting for Grandma's house and cash. Both morally very flawed people that will always be out for themselves.
She means that she was working by taking care of grandmother in jail? 10 years rent free. Another job. 2 trips to jail and she demands compensation for taking care of grandma. These folks? 😂😂😂
Girl yall weren’t even married! Who says after this fall, grandma was in her right mind🙄 he has other siblings, why would you even think he would give you the house?! Waste of time! Girl where’s your grandmother to give you some money smh
Always like watching Byrd "The Enforcer" taking care of business. As soon as he began to snarl, the plaintiff and defendant were looking to escape the courtroom as quickly as possible.
They're both grifters who's meal ticket ended, his will just result in a probate payout. The nerve of this woman, she wants a part of the grandma's estate, if she wanted you to have it she would have written a will, otherwise you're suing the wrong person, he'd literally be the wrong party 10xs over, you would sue the estate, which is already settled through probate and you got nothing and I'm sure the judge explained that to her. She's literally inventing reasons why she should get a part of someone else's inheritance.
Being "Inclusive" refers to the practice of not discriminating against others due to their identity. Being stupid isn't really an identity, so far anyway, and Inclusive does not mean, theoretically that the truth can't be told about stupid behavior. These people are acting stupid, which means they have nothing medically wrong with them, they are just choosing to be stupid, play stupid.
@lauraharris3577 People don't truly understand what they're talking about. They just love to talk because it's free [for now], and other stupid people agree with them. I don’t know the full story for either of them, but if she lived there rent-free for ten years and only paid $100 toward bills every two weeks in exchange for taking care of her grandma, that sounds like a good deal for her. However, it does raise questions about what taking care of grandma actually involved. Was grandma still mobile, or was she an invalid? Did her care include tasks like bathing her or assisting her with the toilet and hygiene? The level of responsibility could make a big difference in how fair or manageable the arrangement felt.
Ten years rent free a person can save a lot of money, JJ was right to throw them out and it was probably what happened in probate court as well. Scammers gunna scam !
That does happen; an elderly person will promise the house if the younger person takes care of them. It's not a bad arrangement since taking care of an elderly person is quite taxing but make sure it's in writing so the kids who did nothing can't swoop in and take everything since they're the next of kin. Also taking care of an old person is not 'living for free'. You're singing for your supper.

What a stupid case. These two freeloaders keep accusing each other of not paying rent but none of them owns the place and the landlord is dead.
And first he said the Plaintiff was paying $600 a month then quickly said $200 a month. After that it's all history.
