Someone who is so upset because they see rips on their custom made wedding dress before putting it on wouldn’t put it on, they’d go straight to the staff and ask for it to be fixed 🙄
Isn't the point of getting a custom made dress so you get a dress specifically suited to your figure? Not just so your dress is unique...so I'm not sure why it looks better on the mannequin?
It wouldn't make ANY sense for an experienced seamstress to risk their business by allowing a fitting of a ripped dress. I've ripped brand new clothes after trying them in a fitting room, I still paid for the damaged clothes. This woman just needs to admit that she wasn't being as gentle as she had thought, it happens to everyone 🤷🏻♀️
If she saw it was torn on the seams, then why put it on and risk tearing it even more? Sounds kind of dumb. Still had 5 months before wedding. Could have been more patient.
It's not the designer's fault that you became a chunky-butt after your original measurements and couldn't fit into the dress YOU ordered 6 months prior. 🤣😂😅
She was too big for that dress so fixing the tears wouldn't have been enough? Would have needed further alterations so she just said, 'stuff it', I'll get another one instead'
I found it a little bit iffy that she saw the rips BEFORE putting it on and didn't say anything to anyone other than her mother. It is a CUSTOM MADE dress that should be perfect out of the box..... is not a loose button she is talking about. Also, there is no way I am trying on a defective gown and have them doubt if maybe my body ripped it off.
My wedding and reception dress totaled $500 (married 6 years now). I went to a seamstress who sold wedding dresses and she included the alterations. I had one small little snag/tear and remember how everyone stopped thinking i was going to bridezilla over it, i looked at it and said "who's going to see that? I'm getting married"
My mum & dad had their wedding reception at our house. The music was played on a record player. It was the 80s. The person in charge if getting ice for the alcohol & champaign for the toasts bought one bag of ice that was meant to fill up the bathtub lol. My mum & dad laughed about it for the rest of their years together (my dad passed in 2010). Also, my mum made her own bouquet and also the bridesmaid's bouquets. She also made her own head piece and used hot glue to glue artificial flowers on a halo type head piece. She looks absolutely stunning in the photos. I remember bits and pieces of the day as I was 5 years old.
I don't really blame her. The older you get, more of your relationship is defined by SO many things that aren't the wedding itself. Don't get me wrong; every bride deserves to enjoy her wedding. But don't act like your life is ruined because something went wrong that day. You, ideally, are sharing the rest of your life with someone you love.
The problem with so many brides/bridezillas is that see a beautiful-looking dress on a mannequin or model, and believe it will make their wedding dreams come true. If they'd choose a dress that would compliment their physique or have a designer adapt that "perfect dress" for their figures, they'd be a lot happier with how they look in a dress they're likely to wear only one day in their lives.
Probably because he wasn’t in the store with the bride and mom. You should try to keep only parties who are witnesses/were there at event. But if you have another idea, what are they? Because if there is a new scam going on with wedding dresses, ooooo I would love to know :)
If she saw it before tried it on , she would say something . I believe she ripped it because the material is easy to tear and she tried to fit herself in.
The dress is really such a small part of the overall experience of the day I would think that the Joy of the day should overshadow any inconveniences endured just saying 🤔

Then when fitting came around and she hadn’t, she accidentally damaged it when trying it on. Very normal and happens to a lot of people. I’ve been guilty of doing similar things.
