Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Efforts

The Tallahassee Police Department is committed to improving pedestrian and bicycle safety.
As part of TPD’s High Visibility Enforcement detail, officers have worked diligently to proactively patrol pre-determined areas to reduce the number of traffic crashes.
Over the past month, these efforts have yielded over 175 educational contacts with drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists. Additionally, 17 warnings were given, and 11 citations were issued.
