Awesome review. I really appreciated theo close-up overview of each part. It made the face sculpt look so much better than before and now i know the purple vs red lips is why i thought it looks off. Man other than the loose and tiny face sculpts i really like my Yamaguchi Psylocke. I still might need this though 😅
Yeah, that would definitely happen if you factor in an infinite amount of universes where Mafex exists. And then an infinite amount of time in all those universes where the company is still producing figures as the eons pass. Eventually, you'd get that version of Betsy.
I see allot of people saying this will replace their legends figure but I feel like the scaling on this one does not fit legends at all.. I think it's a better representation of the character for sure but her head looks so tiny next to legends it's almost like she is a different species entirely. Love what MAFEX is doing but I think Marvel Select wins with the best Psylocke Action figure, even though it's that super weird Marvel Select scale it's honestly the best comic book representation of her with a healthy amount of accessories and articulation to boot.
I'll never understand why we can't get a properly scaled 6inch psylocke she should be closer to gambit and cyclops height not barely taller than wolverine. Selects did it best. This is the first xmen mafex I skipped. I just feel like they are going to make all of the females the same size which is a bummer. Might cancel jean too
Wolverine stands at 5'3". Psylocke stands at 5'8". Cyclops height is listed at 6'3". Gambit's height is listed at 6 ft. 1 in. I don't like Mafex figures since I find the build quality of their products subpar. but looking at the above video (time stamp 8:59), the Mafex Psylocke scales pretty well with the other Marvel legends figures.

Okay, I'm back here because my mafex is supposed to arrive today! Thanks @nerdzoic! Anyway I'm looking at your comparisons and this is weird but the paint on my Legends looks way more metallic yours looks flat. Plus the paint on the bodysuit looks way more clean. My lines are just fuzzy as hell, and the flesh tone is really really really dark at the waist, like it could have used another coat of flesh paint or two. I mean, I bought it right off the shelf, years ago. Not really sure why mine kind of looks like a bootleg... 😬 Thanks for the awesome video, as always!
The thing is this Legends one It's just not a very nice figure in general. And it certainly wasn't hard to get. The absurd prices of it today make me wish I had bought several. Weak ass QC...
everything is great except the head sculpt; i had always considered the jim lee psylocke to be the sexiest, and i was of age so that really cemented that legacy. i found how he drew her face the quintessential psylocke face. i'd love it if they could do that version justice. i would think they'd make her hair and lipstick purple, and lee left out a lot of eye definition so i found her eyes to be exotic and mysterious. they appear to be grey and light colored eyes whether contact lenses on asians does look different and in a good way. i would like to see a version of that psylocke, perfect to the '91-'92 jim lee work.

Definitely a miss not showing her next to the other characters in her line, really seemed like an obvious. Nonetheless, the figure is great !

I always associate the Jim Lee Psylocke as the Kwannon mind swap version rather than the Betsy one. Other than that, great figure.

I agree with Todd. All that articulation may be great for you photo guys but it ruins the aesthetics of the figure. No way is it worth 90 bucks.
