Those are not "cracks". Those are BREAKS. There is no way to "weld all this back together" and your vehicle will already get a salvage title at its next "safety inspection".
Nice video, I think I need to check out my Bronco when I get a chance. I probably don't do the things you do but I do too have lots of fun off road, so.....
Purchased a 2023 Badlands a few months ago. With the weak steering rack, Tie rods that break under load and now control arm welds all being weak links. I get more disappointed with my purchase every day.
Drive it, enjoy it. You're seeing the top few percentage of people relentlessly beating on these that are having problems. The arms aren't stock, the suspension isn't stock, the tire size isn't stock. The "single shear" nature of those brackets are a problem that a few are running into. I'll have to look over our 21' as I've beaten on it a little here and there, but I don't expect to find anything on a stock 4dr badlands sasquatch.
Most people won’t take their rigs to the limits that Mitch does. These Broncos are still capable rigs when left stock, but some people find the fun in building them up then tearing back into them…like Mitch😂😂
At work we have several Ford transit vans. They are disposable garbage. Light gauge stamped steel suspension, weak transmissions, crappy brake calipers that constantly wear brake pads uneven, power steering racks that leak and pumps that cannot keep up with the demand. There's more, but why bother? Cheap construction and horrible engineering make these a giant money pit. Have not seen the Ram or Chevy counterparts. Maybe every automaker these days is producing cheap garbage?
I'm not an Engineer, but it doesn't seem like these were built to take much punishment. I think Ford doesn't expect people to use them the way they are intended. I have an older Land Cruiser and they seem to hold up a lot better than these.
For the type of off roading this guy does he really should be using a purpose built off road vehicle …tube chassis frame etc….even those break in extreme conditions …..even tanks break!
Is their anyway , to make a cross bar to support the brackets, and that way you tie the two brackets to gather. The way ford designed them, it seems their will be a twisting force on the welds all the time.
I was born with a blue oval on my ass. Broncos are cool…. I get it. But seriously? Are you secretly on Craigslist looking for a Jeep with a solid front axle yet? I just don’t get Ford…… it’s like building a Raptor with a V6 and then downloading a V8 soundtrack.🤔 Ok so now Ford is gonna build a Jeep killer….so let’s throw IFS under the front end so the wife doesn’t complain when she drives it to daycare. And let’s throw some 37’s under it! 🙀 Oh! It’s eating the front end! Now, I love your channel! I love your dedication! My critiques are not pointed at you. And NO it’s not you! You’re not an idiot. Yes. Shit is gonna break on the trail. But you’re trying to take a grocery getter that has cool badging on trails it’s just NOT designed for. Can you get it there with lots of blood, sweat and tears? Thats what I am looking at right now. It’s an open ended question. So sorry. My son owns a fab shop and went to school for engineering. If you have some questions. Get ahold of me and I will get you his info. Good luck!👍
It has nothing to do with ford or jeep it comes down to quality these newer cars are made cheap and sold expensive you lean against one and you dent them nothing is made to last anymore the quicker it breaks the quicker your average joe buys a new one more money for the manufacturer
@@Garrison-S I disagree. Ford has had marketing issues for 70 years! Don’t even get me started about Mustang 2’s, etc. This has been a long time Ford problem despite whatever quality or lack thereof Detroit is pumping out. As of right now, only rust on the welds. I would still crawl under and check as your trails start to get a little more hairy. Definitely read the forum post in the description if you want more info
I know you represent Ford well and have a relationship with those guys. I would think they would be interested in seeing what is inevitably an ongoing issue with these frames. I'm really looking forward to "investing" into my Badlands.... maybe trade in for a Bronco Raptor...🤔
Between your cracked frame, Broncbusters numerous front end problems, the first batch dropping valves, and my brothers manual trans with bad synchros. I’ll have to pass.
Check your stock brackets and COMMENT below what you see!!!
Your welds are terrible but your attitude is great. Keep having fun with your Bronco!
Hahaha I’m glad something is on point😂😂
Really shows how much stress the heim joints add vs the stock rubber bushings.
Probably because JOINTS and BUSHINGS aren't REMOTELY "interchangeable".
Those are not "cracks". Those are BREAKS. There is no way to "weld all this back together" and your vehicle will already get a salvage title at its next "safety inspection".

Appreciate your attitude!! God job of keeping it real!! Also, good job getting it repaired!!
Thank you! We’ll see if it all holds together now! Haha
Definitely a good opportunity to make som new aftermarket components we never knew we needed but want!
To be completely fair, you were hard on your bronco the pass 2 years. You've actually jumped it a couple of times too.
I believe I'd be cutting that tin out and mocking up some thicker brackets with some CAD 😂
We need a full time cad guy😂😅
Nice video, I think I need to check out my Bronco when I get a chance. I probably don't do the things you do but I do too have lots of fun off road, so.....
You should! And if you do see anything wrong check with your dealer or DIY it like we did!

Sometimes it seems that stuff gets a little more brittle as time goes on, but who can tell except the guys that put their vehicles to the test.
After what happened in our newest video… I’m afraid to look at the mounts on mine 😂😮🫣
Yikes! Better check!
Better take care of it before The Rubicon Trail too!!!
I thought the new bronco was designed for off road use? Those frame mounts shouldn’t be thin stamped steel. I’m a ford guy and I’m disappointed
I’m sure they’re taking notes. It’s unfortunate but we knew there would be some production bugs going in to the first year
Can you fix my Bronco next? I found more cracks looool

They are semi attached to the stock cross member. The big issue to figure out would be the passenger side and creating clearance for the gas tank.
The crazy part is your ugly welds are probably stronger then the factory welds 😂 man i love the bronco but i wish it wasn't made by ford 😂
Do you mean manufacturer by Americans in Michigan?😂
I dunno about Ford, but I know that if you so much as fart funny in the seat of your Jeep, they'll end your warranty.
In that case, I know a few guys who wouldn’t last a week
From what i understand is the 2021 bronco has this problem I believe ford has fixed it on the newer ones I’m not 100% but that’s what I have heard

Ford will redesign for 2025 or so. Never fails when new vehicles come out redesign and improvements follow it.
thats why we learn to swallow and not drive with structural damage
more than fixable tho
Well, there is a market for heavy-duty mounting. Someone will make one someday

how many times was this bronco jumped?
One big one, really. And potentially a bunch of smaller ones
