If I’m doing pic and dip with one scrape like that I can get 14 bricks a minute , so thanks Charlie, all the older boys who don’t use social media or TH-cam are missing out, they’re all stuck on traditional , pic and dip is like life hack!
Waisted 10 min getting it set up to go fast. LoL. Like you say its always better to go at a decently fast speed all day then trying to hammer them in for an hour or so. Plus you're up high reaching. Cheers 🍻
Don’t you find it easier to spread through then just tip , lay , cut off and use that for your next tip. My mate is only 5ft 3 and anything over 20 course he has chicken dippers and ski slope tilters!
Poor technique, you make a lot of unnecessary moves. Head joints not filled, had to go back and adjust bricks, take care of head joints and voids. Lots of wasted moves.
I agree. Everyone is different I suppose but a few years ago an old brickie was having a cig on his scaffold watching me lay. My works neat and Ime 48 so not slow but he told me to stop fcking about and cutting off 2 or 3times . Since then I cut off once. That alone has increased my speed and I find it better to spread through with an even bed. Throwing a trowel full on for each brick and not spreading it even is why he’s cutting off more than once. Also he needs to invest in a decent trowel for starters . I commend his enthusiasm though
I’ve been using pick and dip now as a apprentice while others use the traditional method is the quality the same cause I think to myself I hope it’s just as good uno let me know Charlie 💪👍
Im sick of negative comments. Hard enough this game without negativity. I do a lot of high end stonework on brick houses. Im not some diy plant pot. Like most who watch these vids
