I am a babywearing educator and a friend from back home (5 hours away) asked me for any advice and after watching about 10 videos yours is by far the best, easiest instructions, and exactly how I would have showed her. Thank you for this it will be the video I use from now on to help anyone I can't get to!
I just got my first woven wrap! It's a didymos, size 6, and I just used your video to wrap my 8 month that old in it for the first time! He loves it so much more than my stretchy wrap and my ergo!! Love how you can nurse in it too, my son eats like every 1-2 hours so I frequently have to nurse in public! He just took a nap and since being in the wrap he's dozed off a few times too, so I'd call that a success!
Thank you for posting this. This was so easy to follow and I'm so glad to see someone doing a tutorial for this carry with a toddler. You would think it would work the same as with a newborn but not so much. Thank you again and I love your wrap :)
Very helpful, comprehensive video. Have just purchased a woven wrap now my 7 month old is getting too heavy for the stretchy wrap, and whist this is the carry I usually use you've provided some great tips here for a comfier wearing experience. Love that you demonstrated how easy it is to nurse in too :-)
wow, I'm borrowing a size 3 wnf from a great friend and she sent me this video to try and it was so easy to understand. AND I LOVE that your still nursing your 2 year old!! WTG momma!! I subscribed!!
This is so helpful! I've nursed in an Ergo and a stretchy wrap, but that was just impressive how easily you did that. Your daughter was so cute with all the babbling (I know she must be huge now) :) Thank you for sharing!
this is an old video but just as useful then as it is now. i'm sure your babe is like 6 now but she is so cute and I like your video. you helped me a lot thank you
Thank you so much for this! Love BWing but new to wrapping with wovens. This is so helpful and the nursing tips are greatly appreciated! -3 you baby is gorgeous and so are you and your wrap!
This looks like origami! Beautiful. :) I was at a cloth diapering convention today (even though I felt like a bit of a fraud as I'm only dabbling at this point) and saw the coolest assortment of wraps, slings, and carriers. I've never seen so many babywearers in one place in Utah. Anyway, even though I love my ERGObaby, I confess that I'm pretty intrigued by woven wraps. They look like where it's at.
Awh whoops! Just watched that. Your videos have been so helpful, Thanks a lot. I just wanted to know how different stretchy and woven wraps are, are there some things you can do with one that you can't do with another? Sorry about all the questions, I'm a ftm and very enthusiastic about wearing my baby but I'm just afraid I'm not doing it right sometimes...
sakinarawr, stretchy wraps should be used only for front carries since it's almost impossible to reach the safest tightness and rugness of the rails due to the stretch element of a stretchy wrap. On the other hand, woven wraps are simply the best for all ways of carrying the baby - front, hip and back - provided the safety that can be easily accomplished with woven wraps!, specially as far back carries are concerned!
Every time I have tried this one, it hurts my shoulders like crazy. Any tips on redistributing the weight so it doesn't dig into my shoulders/neck so much? It makes my 20-pounder feel like 30!
How old and how much does your baby weigh? My kiddo is one and weighs 24lbs. Won't that pull on my shoulders and cause neck problems, or no because of how you wear it??
is the didy hot? I live in FL and need a cool wrap. Also, if you don't mind my asking, what cup size are you? I am a D/DD cup and was wondering if that would work too. You just popped your breast out and your nursling latched no biggie. Love it! My almost 8mo old 23lb baby loves to fall asleep nursing and I love to wear him, especially while I am at work (light office work, making phone calls.) But I like to have both hands free.

Yes, you can! I have another video tutorial for nursing a newborn in a woven wrap.
she's so cute!!
She was probably around 27 lbs there. I still wear her sometimes--now she's 2.5 yo and 32 lbs--but now I prefer wearing her on my back.
she is so cute!!! It's not so easy for me to nurse like this... could it be bc I have a baby instead of toddler?
great tutorial :)
This is great! Can I use it for nursing a 7 week old though? Please respond! Thanks :))
Thanks this is soooo helpful
fantastic video! thanks a million! :)
