“If all I ever do is haul loads with my pickup and spend time with my family on the off days fine by me” Thats some facts right there man, love your videos, love what you do. Washington is a beautiful state! Keeep truckin!
For rookies, sit level, and when you're truck starts to roll 1 to 2 mph and use the trailer break only to see if it stops gently. If it stops fast, back it off, if it doesn't stop, increase gain until it does stop gently and you'll be just fine. Every trailer is different and just because his gain is okay at 4.5 yours may be 4 or 7, you don't know until you try. Also as breaks ware out you'll have to increase gain so check it often.
Come here just to see this beautiful truck working, love the content, makes me wish I had just bit the bullet and bought a longhorn over my big horn but hey you live and learn
Paul, how are those limited seats holding up compared to the 2019 ones? I know my 2019 Limited and my 2020 Laramie, the driver’s seat both bubbled up and stretched out. Warranty replaced the cushion on the 2019. My 2020 Laramie driver’s seat the springs actually squeak when you sit down or drive over rough roads/bumps. Very annoying.
I have a 2021 dodge dually and plan to hotshot with my 40ft gooseneck trailer, will it be ok for me to change the stock tires from a 235/80r17 to a 285/75r17
Do you actually notice a power difference when towing a load with the HO compared to the 68rfe? I never towed with an Aisin, but am wondering. I think the 68rfe with regards to towing is a bit sluggish.
Yes!! You definitely can feel the difference between 2500 Cummins crew cab compare to 3500 HO Cummins crew cab. I feel like the 3500 HO Cummins is louder then 2500, Boost feels longer and more violent, it’s obviously faster!
Enjoy all the usefull info you give out from a person that works these trucks. You haul a lots with a single axle rear end. What brand tires and ratings do you find best for hauling? Thanks TC
You know the bed cover they make for pickups and they call em tauno covers? I think they should change the name to Tonto cover as in the Lone Ranger 's sidekick. He was his faithful assistant,...and he always covered his rear end, lol.
4 chains (one at each corner) and a strap or chain on each end ( one on the front bucket and one on the hoe) are required on a rubber wheeled non articulated equipment. If it is articulated and does not have the locking bar installed then you will need 4 more chains.
Also any recommendations on temps in an ‘18 single rear wheel? I have seen as high as 225 coolant while pulling highway 80 near Donner pass in Ca. Back it off a little?
Great videos Paul! Question for ya, where do you stand on additives such as stiction eliminator and fuel system cleaners with your Gen4s do you use them? Thanks
7k running gear on trailer. 3000lb trailer. 14000-3000=11000lb available payload. 310 backhoe with cab and fluids 14000lb's overloaded by 3000lbs. Numbers don't lie. Just cause you can don't mean you should.
I'll try to help you understand how I was setup. Trailer is modified to handle 16k legally. My truck is setup to handle 7500 on the drives legally. So trailer 5k plus 14k tractor is 19k. 20 percent goes to the truck. =3800. So equals to trailer being at 15,200. Drives 7400. I'm pushing it but perfectly legal 😁
@@pddieselpower and there is the tire rating. If you have 14 ply g rated tires at 4080 lbs load capacity you'd be good but again it is very close. If they're 10 or 12 plys then you're probably overloaded on the tires.

My 2020 DRW with 4:10 the temp never gets over 220 and comes back down to 190 in a hurry. She is impressive. Rated at 33500 tow gvw 43000

My man right on time. Looking into getting a 2nd 6.7
Always enjoy your info 🤙🏽
It works!! I do this at times 4.5 - 6.0.
Keep those videos coming.
It’s been a while, glad to hear from you.
Are you going to factory "tune it"
Paul just just a baby load! Put a real load behind that thing! Haha! Sweet rig buddy!
Help .... we have a 2019 ram 3500 how do you tow a 40 trailer ??? My math says 66 vs 65 ft long...Help...
How long was the trailer you were hauling?
How is the ride without the load? Harsh ride?
My 15,16,and 18 never used a drop between oil changes
Yep. 4th gens don't use oil. Unless you really stress them.

How much does the backhoe weight? And what does your trailer weight
Hey Paul, have you found a Quality upper and lower (greasable) replacement ball joints for the Gen 4s that y'all use? Thanks

Have you been able to tell much of a difference in power with the 2021 HO Cummins over the 19-20?
I believe 21 has just a tad bit more low end. Just tuned differently for sure.
I keep my trailer gain on 10. Why not use what you got?
Which Schaeffer's Oil are you running in your 19+ Ram's?
Do you lease your trucks ?
Do those hood deflector shields work well?
Were you driving towards Sandpoint?
Yep. I went to Kalispell using hwy2
@@pddieselpower Thought I recognized the road! Thanks for confirming.

Brother I have not towed with. 68rfe 5th Gen. I wouldn't be able to say.

Love the videos. You ever have any trouble going across state lines with a deleted truck? Any DOT scares?
Yep don't bury the throttle if you want it to last

Looks likes 5.7 Sequoia eats mountains for breakfast, accelerating without sweating. Lol

That Aisin is running cooler than my 19! Do you live in PA?
Howdy brother. I live in WA.
@@pddieselpower ha! I thought you were close to me, great video as always 👍🏾
I’m in Oldtown I got a 05 5.9 packbrake bags leaf springs built transmission it ties great but no way like a 6.7
Coming up on 30,000 with my 2018 with Aisin. What do you recommend for trans fluid?

Check his previous videos he goes over all of this
Go thru my videos. You'll see a video covering all the Temps. That will help you.

Oil cheaper than a payment on the new truck. Do Oil analysis, best way to tell when to change oil.
Gain at 4.5?? I max out mine and I tow 9500 lbs.
Beast 👍
When are you going to add a lift?
I did a 1.75 inch leveling kit. From thuren

I use Schaffer clean 2000
@@pddieselpower thank you!
Oil additives don't work.
What is the max towing capacity on this truck ???
24,xxx
What transmission you have?
Aisin
Looks like the 90 heading East
👍🇺🇸👍
Need a new video lol
A backhoe weight is around 25000lbs depending on the size manufactured
Nah that weight 14-16k max its a small John deer.. cat 420 weighs 19.5k an that’s the biggest backhoe made on the market that I kno of

310s are closer to 12k, they arent very big.
Guess you didn’t like that Ford ? Lol 😂
Я так и не понял о чем ты говоришь
What did you say?
Jeez... some of you folks have never hauled over 100k and it shows... lol
I wouldn’t have shared this clip.
