Kastle RX National Team SL, 203 cm? They were my first pair of "serious" skis in high school and _wow_ were they heavy and stiff, especially in the tail. Nothing today really compares, thank goodness. I did learn good fore-aft balance from those skis though. They were especially entertaining in Palisades' bumps, on runs like the West Face and the East Gully of Oly Lady. Tailgunning was not a survivable option. Seriously I love that Hoji of all people is the one who admits to loving his SLs back when he was a race nerd. And then also admits to initially copping a racer 'tude towards fat skis. Let's be honest, we all did that back in the day.
Always wanted the 1080s when they came out but I think my first twin was either Head airheads or Rossi pow air pro. First love was either Rossi scratch or Salomon foils.
Volkl Explosives were a cultural phenomenon at Squaw Valley in the 90's and early 2000's. I still have a pair of the wizard graphics and the yellows. Man are they stiff.
Hoji's new Canada hat is iconic. We might make them next year. Think we should.
Definitely

I am 65yo, is it wrong to have a man-crush on Hoji? Does he ever speak to my skiing philosophy!!!
