I’m not surprised with your re-ranking. As a Sabres fan, I do have a Jeff Skinner reverse retro jersey. I wish I could get a couple more of those. My top 5: 1. Canucks 2. Predators 3. Panthers 4. Sabres 5. Capitals I feel New Jersey may come out with a Kansas City Scouts jersey.
The Winnipeg one will always be very fascinating to me in terms of reactions to it. Everyone gave it so much flak when it came out, but when it hit the ice, I remember so many people said "Wait this actually looks kinda nice"
Honestly, if you put the 2000's-era crown on the Kings' RR, that would without question be the best LA jersey of all time in my opinion. Purple and gold are just so fitting for LA in comparison to the black and silver; LA's a very colorful city, after all.
This is unrelated to this video and probably should be posted on the last video that you and Jason did where you asked for discussion topics, but I'm here now. I was watching a recent Robtalkshockey video and he was talking about how scoring is up in the NHL this year and that it's a good thing because it makes the game more entertaining. I find that hockey as a spectator sport is constantly at odds with itself on this topic. I will agree that scoring is entertaining but close, low-scoring games are far more exciting. Case in point, that last game between Edmonton and Colorado that ended 2-1 in a shootout. The first goal wasn't score until the 3rd period. When a game goes a long time without scoring, it kind of creates an intensifying feeling of "next goal wins" which I personally like as a fan. I'm curious what you guys think about this.
Regarding the Washington Capitals: You said you prefer the original colors. If that is the case, then it is not a reverse retro jersey. That would be a throwback jersey. I thought the premise of the reverse retro was to take an old design and change the colors to an updated look. I had the old jersey and I like the red jersey better. Just my opinion.
It is not strictly changing the colors. Pittsburgh, Chicago, Florida, New York, etc... none of them changed the colors from an old design, they just adjusted or did a reverse color of the original.
I love everything about Nashvilles and CBJs. They are perfect to me. Then 3rd I’d put the Bruins. But there are so many beautiful designs in this series. It was such a fun project that adidas did.
I wear jerseys all of the time & out of the Reverse Retros the 2 that get the most compliments are Los Angeles and one you wouldn’t think would is Ottawa. The ones I didn’t like until i bought them are: ST. Louis, Dallas-this is my favorite of the ones I didn’t like..something about that silver on white. Other teams are Winnipeg, Nashville, San Jose i bought them because i wanted to collect all of the teams. The ones i didn’t like and still don’t: Chicago, Detroit (practice jersey with duct tape) & Anaheim-i never liked the original Wild Wing, but i’m glad they made a white version of it. It’s also the most comfortable jersey to wear. The ones i feel are underrated are: Philadelphia, Columbus, my Penguins and yes Toronto. I absolutely LOVE the Blue and Gray combo.
The problem with the Rangers RR is that they reversed the way the striping went as far as the V striping but should have gone either with silver or white at the bottom of the sleeve cause the OG one the red went after the V striping.
The Flyers jersey was brilliant. The t-shirt vibes you got from the sleeves are actually authentic to the original jersey, except the black blended into the gloves where the white stands out. The Flyers Alumni team that plays charity games all over the area wore an almost identical jersey to this for about 20 years.
You're spot on with the Preds RR. I wasn't sure what I would think once it arrived, but the silver arms sell it. The logo is perfect and for once....I am completely satisfied owning a Preds authentic jersey. (Don't have the old navy 3rd, or else that may top this one).
My Top 6 are Florida, Boston, Montreal, Vancouver, Washington and Buffalo. I couldn't disagree with your opinion about the Capitals colours more though and I think they went with the right colours (Most of us Caps fans DON'T want the blue, black and bronze back). I don't like how big the logo is.
Neil you ranked Detroit's reverse retro perfectly. Hopefully the red wings will try harder with attempt number two for the upcoming reverse retro jerseys
Me and a ton of other wild fans. We aren’t the north stars. Never were. We PLAY the (north) stars like six times a year. Why are we doing a throwback to a team that left? Why not use history of our own team?
@@PG13hockeyman The stars kept the name basically. They just took out north. The North stars still exist, just in the south. The Wild and Minnesota fans need to leave the north stars in the past. We have a new team.
My top five in no particular order is LA, Tampa, Washington, Florida, and Vancouver. Also when the reverse retros first came out I used to agree that Dallas was in the bottom but after seeing it more in person I would probably move it up to somewhere in the 20s, in my opinion!

Like sure could look like our current away, but current away is still "reverse". I totally get my bias, good list
An overly long-winded rambling reply: A few years before the Reverse Retro jerseys (RRs) came out I decided I wanted to buy a jersey for every team (except for the Leafs because I hate the Leafs and consider my favourite team to be 'whoever is playing the Leafs' and this crazy decision to buy all (I think 29 at the time but now) 31 teams was to always have my favourite team's jersey on hand) so I only had a few teams left to buy by the time the RRs came out. My list of RRs that I own (not a ranking though): Carolina*, Florida, Minnesota*, Nashville, New York Rangers. I have a very unpopular dislike for the avs RR. I really have no idea what it is, maybe something to do with the amount of white? I’m just nowhere near as crazy about it as others… in terms of the jersey that grew on me the most, it has to be Nashville, easily a top 3 RR for me- the logo coloured with the blue and silver just looks incredible and I’m so glad I bought it
as someone who owns the Nashville jersey I'll be honest I would probably struggle to get it on if not for that material type. The one I have is a little too small for me but because of the material I can actually manage to get it on. That and well my wife won mine for free so I can't really complain.
I really wasn't a fan of the Ottawa one, but then I saw they took a retro jersey (their 92 away jersey) and reversed it which explains the "Santa" belt being where it is. It definitely grew on me, but I gotta say the Montreal and LA jerseys are too good. Wish I could've bought those two.
Funny how people are quick to say a red jersey for the Blue Jackets is wrong because of their name but they don't mention it when they see the Blues jersey. I own 29 Reverse retro jerseys and I'm only missing the Islanders and the Avalanche.
Huh? There are numerous people who have whined about the red on the Blues jersey. Red was one on the jersey going back to the mid '80s. If they wear anything that isn't blue or white, someone will always complain. I like the red. It doesn't bother me.
Dallas should of used green on top or the bottom As per Carolina I think they should of went with the green Vancouver is easy favorite Los Angeles is second though Vancouver is not just my favorite because t s my favorite team but it is the most unique or out of the box type thing
That's been an ongoing problem with the Primegreen. Which is why I don't want one. The Reverse Retro isn't Primegreen as far as I know. So there shouldn't be any bubbling after washing.
I don't see what is so great about the Predators. I wouldn't have them anywhere near that high. I'm surprised your opinion varied so much from your original ranking. My initial opinion is essentially the same as it is now. Seeing them in person or on the ice isn't going to change my opinion much.
Not a bad idea... I think teams should have at least a couple sets of pants. I personally really liked the all white look ie the adidas west all stars jersey a couple years ago.
Some comments. I love the Oilers. I have it and it's awesome. Vegas - love the colour and logo but the V's at the bottom are off-putting. I understand the history but if it had traditional stripes it would be a winner to me. I almost bought it and just couldn't pull the trigger. I have the Jets as well and agree with your overall assessment about it.
I have a hard time watching your Reverse Retro videos, I don't quite think you get the limits that the teams had to deal with. Yeah, the Dallas jersey is a bit boring, but what else could they do with the spesific design? They already used basically all color variants of the jersey back in the day. Same goes with the Flames and NYR jersey etc. The jersey isn't a _reverse_ retro if you do the jersey exactly the same way as before. The RR program works for some teams, for others it just doesn't. Ofc you can argue what design they should pick but not the colors.
Look at Washington. They took modern colors and used it on an old design. Dallas could have done the same thing and used the blackout style or none of the gold’ish at least from the original. So many options. Sorry you have a hard time watching the videos.
Most of my videos are 15-20 minutes. Pretty hard to talk about 32 jerseys in under 20 minutes unless you're essentially reading off the ranking with no context or reasoning. That would be pretty boring.
I had the opposite feeling about the Blues. The fact that they had just released the alternate made the reverse retro feel redundant. I really want a white version of the arch logo.
That Kings jersey is sooo overrated… granted i want the kings to go 60s with a rebrand. Maybe 60s design in the 90s colors OR the early 00s shield design return. I cant wait to see the new set coming. My NYR gotta not do another lazy job. To me i think id go top 5 Preds TB Cats Caps Sharks.
Top 5 1 Winnipeg 2 Colorado 3 LA 4 Montreal 5 Calgary Bottom 5 1 Vegas 2 St Louis 3 Detroit (Im a Red Wings fan and this jersey isn’t a bad jersey it’s just so bland) 4 Buffalo 5 NY Islanders
I didn’t like the wild rr at first but now I def do, always dislike the red wings jersey and love Arizona. I wish that the lightning jersey had the original font for the numbers tho the original numbers looked sooo crazy, I think they wild have a jersey with similar numbers? I also wonder if the original Nashville jersey used that same material as the rr? I know the original Nashville jersey had some crazy material used for the silvery gray I used to loveeee that jersey back in the day. I liked the rr blues jersey at first but now I think it’s kinda McDonald’sy; too much red, and the sharks I didn’t like at first but now looking at it again I think the black on it really contrasts well I’m def a fan. You should rank the NHL pant designs
Great Video Neil!
Not a bad idea... I think teams should have at least a couple sets of pants. I personally really liked the all white look ie the adidas west all stars jersey a couple years ago.
My B's should bring the 2021 RR jersey back as a 4th jersey, unless next year's RR uniform is rated better than the previous one.
I already like the latest one better.
@@fantasticvoyage262 Yeah 👍, the new white Pooh Bear uniform I think will be as great as the previous RR one.
@@VYOM4 I like any Bruins jersey with the bear. And don't like any of the others.
If I took a tylenol for everytime "Reverse Retro" "brand" "underrated" or "bold" was said, I'd be unconscious.
It is what it is.
The devils could’ve done a Scouts jersey
to be honest, I think the Kings will go back to to the colors schemes purple and gold
I like the current kings home jersey so much more than any of there purple and gold jerseys
@@Post2PostProductions good take, pal. Always glad to hear your opinions on team branding and stuff!
The Flames and Rangers easily could have went with red. Red wasn't on either of the original as a primary color. And both would have looked fantastic.
This guy would be the goat if his videos were 15-20 minutes instead of 25-35 minutes
Most of my videos are 15-20 minutes. Pretty hard to talk about 32 jerseys in under 20 minutes unless you're essentially reading off the ranking with no context or reasoning. That would be pretty boring.
@Post2Post Productions Exactly. The video was fine the way it is.
You should order the black alternate Saint-John sea dogs, personnally it’s my favorite jersey all leagues confunded. What’s yours
As an Oilers fan. I was never a big fan of our reverse retro. Tired of seeing the orange
Same
Im still looking for a them still
I can already tell it’ll be a good video, cheers
Montréal worn RR Jersey 6 Times. And won 1 Game
1 OTL so 1-4-1
Now I wish the NHL would re release them didn’t buy one last time.
Rank gloves next
Odd idea but like it
LA is amazing i own it it looks even better in person
Detroit Grateful Dead jersey, just a touch of Grey
The Jets one confuses me
I had the opposite feeling about the Blues. The fact that they had just released the alternate made the reverse retro feel redundant. I really want a white version of the arch logo.
im a canucks fan and i got that jersey i like the jersey to. 👍👍👍👍👍😃😃😃😃
If the Kings don't switch to THIS jersey from now on, they should lose their franchise!!!
do u have a pens jersey then pens jersey is great
I have 3 Pens jerseys
@@Post2PostProductions cool
like your videos
Thank You for this video
ANOTHER SPOILER ALERT: Neil hates Christmas! 🎄❌ 🎅 🚫 lol 😂 only kidding
23:31-23:45 love that
the canucks never won in their reverse retro either....
Who is a rangers fan here
You should rank the gloves for every team...
As a joke
Top 5
1 Winnipeg
2 Colorado
3 LA
4 Montreal
5 Calgary
Bottom 5
1 Vegas
2 St Louis
3 Detroit (Im a Red Wings fan and this jersey isn’t a bad jersey it’s just so bland)
4 Buffalo
5 NY Islanders
✝️
The Vancouver canucks jersey is a sprite can
I didn’t like the wild rr at first but now I def do, always dislike the red wings jersey and love Arizona. Ya vids are sick bro! Much love from st pete fl! (Right west of Tampa, on the beach!) 🤙 I playedfor jr lightning from 6 to 18!
WOW first
