We rented this movie on VHS back in the early '80s when I was a teen and my sister was almost a teen. I loved this movie, we would watch this often.

Probably, from Blockbuster. Oh man, they were the DEVIL. You would go in for one movie and come out with another 2. With me, what made it worse was a college/high friend worked there.

That song at the end is by The Power House and the singer is Michael De Barres who played Murdoc, a maniac assassin in the '80s TV series MacGyver.

Probably the 80's action movie with the most and best one liners!
"Don't wake my friend...he's dead tired." "Remember when I said I'd kill you last? I lied." "I eat Green Berets for breakfast...And right now, I'm very hungry!"
What did you do with Sully? I let him go." "Let off a little steam." and on and on...

"I'll be back" originated from The Terminator, 1984. Commando is 1985. -OG

In Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Lord's ship is named the "Milano". Named after Alyssa Milano (Arnold's daughter in Commando) who I would assume was a boyhood crush of Peter Quilll's.

"Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?"
    "That's right, Matrix! You did!"
    "I lied."
    (Sully Screams "Oh La La!")
    "What happened to Sully?"
    "I let him go."
Fun Fact: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Vernon Wells have remained close friends ever since the making of the movie.
Location Location Fact: The shopping mall (Sherman Oaks Galleria) used is the same one that was used in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), also starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Since both films wrapped, the mall has been remodeled.
Black Belt Fact: Martial arts expert and fight choreographer Michael M. Vendrell worked with Arnold Schwarzenegger on the film, and, by the end of production, Vendrell estimated that Schwarzenegger had become a second degree black belt.

The big bald black bad guy, Cook, also stars in another Schwarzenegger film with Arnold called, "Predator." He played Mac. -OG

Rae Dawn Chong is the daughter of Tommy Chong of the weed-smoking comedy team Cheech & Chong. Anyhow, Rae came out in a very interest 1980 movie called Quest for Fire. It's a caveman movie with no understandable language, but it's a pretty good movie. She also made some appearances in Cheech & Chong movies.
p.s. Forgot to add Ron Perlman also came out in Quest for Fire, he's not the lead actor, but his acting kinda steals the movie.

I didn't even realize it till about a year ago or so, but the actor who plays the bad guy Bennett is the same actor who plays the Mohawk motorcycle riding bad guy in Mad Max 2 - The Road Warrior.

By the by, he killed *at least* 92 men in this film, the same as in all his previous movies combined.
Today, his kill count is well past 300.

One of my favorite Arnie movies. Definitely not meant to be super serious or realistic, just good movie fun.
Not sure if you caught any bloopers in your rewatch/edit but in the cliff scene with Sulley, you can see a wire around his ankle holding him up. And when Arnie flips Sulley's car back on its wheels, the left side is all scraped and dented. But when he drives away it's fully repaired. Love this movie! Lol

Hi White Sock Kids!🙂I am a bit behind on reactions. Tested positive for Covid a week ago. I don't remember this Arnold film very well. I do remember Alyssa Milano (Charmed TV Series) played his kidnapped daughter. Also, Rae Dawn Chong was the female co-star. She was very popular in 80's films. Her father is Tommy Chong (Cheech & Chong) comedy duo. Nice reactions to another Arnold film under your belt, Kids!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Alyssa Milano was somewhat famous around the same time as this movie, for acting on the "Who's the Boss?" TV show.

You're both really good at reactions to Arnie's movies, so if you're in the mood for more cult films and one-liners with him, I suggest the film version of Stephen King's "The Running Man" (1987) in particular, but also "Red Heat" (1988) and "Last Action Hero" (1993).

White Sock,i highly recommend you to do a reaction for Upgrade 2018 it's a very underrated sci-fi movie with just 3 million dollars budget the produced something spectacular. From action, story, cinematography it's looks very well done and should have won a lot of award for it. If they had much bigger budget and better promotion the movie would have definitely been a big hit at the box office.

Arnold's big first movie was Conan the Barbarian, then Terminator. His first movie was way back in 1970, Hercules in New York. It's not a great movie, but it's alright, if you can get past the guy in a bear suit and Arnold's superwooden acting.

He was also in the bodybuilding 'documentary'(Schwarzenegger was acting up an exaggerated version of himself, and just plain made some stuff up) "Pumping Iron".

The guy playing Bennett the villain was an 11th hour replacement for the original actor who had to drop out. The poor replacement guy said if he'd known he'd be playing Arnold's arch nemesis, he'd have worked out months earlier. So, he went way in the other direction as a character choice since him vs Auh-nod was already ridiculous, so he went completely outrageous, saying his internal back story was he was secretly in love with Matrix and when Auh-nod threw him out of the seal team, he said his revenge was the rage of a jilted lover. Oh, and yeah, his wardrobe you were on the right track. He decided to play Bennett as Freddy Mercury.
you can't make this sh*t up....
