As you said, you didn't load the dishwasher correctly, so how can you give it 3 out of 5 stars? You nested items inside of each other, and those are the dishes that came out dirty. That would happen with any dishwasher. Do you also put muddy socks inside of other socks and complain that clothes washers don't work?
Agree. I saw him nesting that v dirty bowl and knew the result before the 3.5 hrs. My LG started poor performance about a year in. When there was a leak in my hose and draining issue I knew it was time to move on vs repair. What I know now after 6.5 yrs is DO NOT BUT AN LG or SAMSUNG. If you thijk Ge or other US brands are bad, try getting service for an LG or SAMSUNG. I also learned BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FM THE MFGR. With the min $150ish for someone to walk in your door for service it's smart today because ... the days of 10+ year old functional appliance, or TV for that matter are gone. I'm waiting for my install on a GE ...715. I'll let you know.
As others have said, you nested some dishes, so you were already setting the dishwasher up for failure there. Also, you only used a dishwasher pod, which means you’re not using a pre-wash, so you only washed the dishes when they were at their dirtiest with just water, but since the pre-wash is when the dishes are at their dirtiest, it’s the most important time to have dish detergent cleaning them, which is why dishwashers have a pre-wash compartment. Once the pre-wash cycle ends, the dishwasher drains the water, expecting to drain dirty water from when the dishes are at their dirtiest, then refills with fresh water, then opens the compartment that you put the pod in. Bottom line, if you’re going to rate a dishwasher on how well it cleaned dirty dishes, don’t nest any, and use a pre-wash, as the dishwasher intended.
The type of detergent, inlet water temperature and the way you load a dishwasher are key to cleaning performance. I have a GE #GDT695SGJ2WW also from 2019 and it works flawlessly. I use Finish pods (as recommended by GE) and our water temp is aprox. 130-135 degrees. No nesting while loading, no prerinse of dishes and all soiled surfaces face the center. Never any issues and super quiet.
A few minutes into the video, I pressed the like because of the detailed review. Once you pulled out the decibel level monitor, I knew you were an OG and I had to subscribe.
@@thegiftlady1 The Frigidaire that came with my new home has the better one piece wash arm. Cleans well on the normal cycle. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with your GE. I want to take a look at Whirlpool dishwashers. Had a portable that lasted 30 years. Was an excellent cleaning machine.
That is "drastically out performed" your old one"? It did that even when started with a steam cycle? If that was mine it would be on its way back to the store. Glad I saw this, my dishwasher needs a new control board and pump, even installing myself it is $300, so I am looking but now I know what I am not looking for.
Drastically was too strong. Better than my old wore out dishwasher but still mediocre. Same thing happened with an oven we had. The control board was more than 1/2 the cost of whole new oven. Crime.
I'm sorry for hijacking your comment but my husband and I purchased a Frigidaire stainless steel dishwasher from Lowe's as part of a four piece promotional set. The other appliances work great, but the dishwashers control panel stopped working randomly one day on us. Warranty had expired. Be wary of dishwashers from Frigidaire and Whirlpool. We ended up rolling the dice and purchased a used GE from a couple who recently upgraded their appliances. Best $150 we could of spent. It actually outperforms the newer Frigidaire. And I am one to wash dishes before putting them into the dishwasher so they can't say it was bc I put dirty dishes In it. People are starting to catch on these newer dishwashers aren't what they're made out to be, and it's sad to say Lowe's and Home Depot competed with Facebook Market place this weekend....
I have had nothing but problems with My GE Cafe dishwasher. It leaked and destroyed my new wood flooring and downstairs ceiling and walls. we have been without a dishwasher for the past two months because they cant seem to be able to repair it. "No dishwasher thru the holidays"
They have dishwashers now with leak pans underneath with a float that shuts everything off if the pan gets too full. But you still have to wet vac out the water, but no damage to your home.
I bought Model GDF630PSM4SS in September 2020. It stopped draining after two weeks. The technician who was sent told me that the problem was that I bought GE Dishwasher in the first place. Not kidding! He told me he would buy a Bosch as all GE dishwashers are junk. It broke a week later and for the next 3 weeks I had to bail it out by hand, let it sit a day, and then it would work again for about 4-6 times. The 2nd technician ordered a part that did not need to be replaced, got it to work and then it failed again and would not drain. I had to buy a new dishwasher and the GE sits in my garage. GE told me they will not refund the money and would only replace it if the technician states in cannot be fixed. Stay away from GE.
2 appliances went on me during Covid. First, a frig, I was able to get a decent one locally. Second, a dishwasher was impossible to fine. Found my preference at AJMadison ONLINE! Flawless delivery. Awaiting my plumber install as I write. NEVER thought about buying an appliance online. It's worked for me.
you gotta be a real lazy pos not to wipe your dishes before you throw them in your dish washer dish washer imo is pretty much a sanitizer and a cleaner that picks up the little bits you missed while giving a rough clean
I wanted a Bosch too but you need heated dry, not a Bosch option. I learned with my LG steam dry does not work well at all AND DO NOT BUY AN LG, impossible to get them fixed.

I never prerinse. Just scrape off lightly. The machine is supposed to take care of the rest, otherwise why have one ?
Dishes with dried on food come clean more successfully in the lower rack where the water pressure is greater
But did you keep it?
Good video, just installed the second GE. The 1st was defective out of the box. Looking forward to doing my own test. Thanks
Really hot water definitely helps I live in an apartment and they won't let us set the temperature past 120°f
So the water line is full of hot water I turn on the sink hot water before I turn my dishwasher on. Helps a lot.

Would you say the washing noise is a pleasant 48db or annoying?
Hmmm. Sounds like a dishwasher. Annoying if I'm on the phone in the same room.
I have that same cutting board. My Frigidaire cleans it beautifully.
Just got a GE but I was looking very closely at the Frigidaire . Hope I'm happy.

@@mamabear8879 What's wrong with Whirlpool ? Noticed how you just slipped them in there.
Another thing you can do to prevent hard water is buy some clr cleaner and delime your dishwasher to make it run more efficently

Now this is a real test
My old whirlpool would have cleaned all those on round one.
Excellent video. Well made, I love the compares and showing what worked and what didn't.
Thanks for the kind feedback!

Meanwhile my Beko dishwasher cleans all that you thought thats challenging in just 58 minute cycle🤣
It's a dishwasher not a miracle worker DUH!🤣👎

Wait until it breaks and then have to wait 3 to 6 months for the model you want to be back in stock. Ugh.

0:20 that’s how ur supposed to do it... why would you leave food on the plate? If you leave food on it makes it smell gross and clogs the pipes
Not in the United States. The dishwasher have a built in food disposal and the drain pipes are designed to handle that much food.
You don't put dried stuff in their.
@Nathan Mcilveen I agree with everything but the gel packs. I heard those were no good.
@Nathan Mcilveen Do you mean the compressed powder that's packed in to a pod?
@@thegiftlady1 I have cascade original gel packs with dawn and I have the cascade complete powder . I find the powder to be better.
