These guys never got the recognition they deserved. This whole album knocks.
The riffs in this are so tasty.
I just saw them touring for the 20 year anniversary and they played this whole album and I’m not kidding when I say it was one of the best shows of my life. 37 year old mom of 2 in the pit like I was 17 again- it was amazing. Fucking fantastic.
Same here in Toronto! They are still amazing live . Definitely a band to see live ❤
BEST PIT I've ever been in. Warped tour 06
That's what we stay alive for. Fuck Yeah!!
For me is one of the best albums in my adolescence!! I 44 years old..... Incredible
24 isnt adolescence
@@FlopsMcDooglesays who?! I'm a 33 year old adolescent 😂
I'm 35 and thrice has been there to be the ever evolving soundtrack to so many crucial moments in my life. We are so lucky to have been alive for this music.
Old ass.
34 today, cheers my man. ❤🇲🇽
What an album, still holds up nearly 20 years later. These songs (especially under a killing moon) taught me all the rock guitar basics....palm mutes, power chords, hammer-ons, pull-offs, advanced strumming patterns. Thanks Teppei!!
Teppei is one of the best guitar riff writers in rock music
Today is Sunday March 22, 2020.
I was born in 1980
I remember hanging in Atlanta smashing this over and over.
Still smashing today and always

2/7/24 today, bron in 1986 hanging from Cbba,Bolivia back in 2003, one year left from graduation, will never forget will always listen to this, unforgettable
Fan since I was in high school early 2000s still love you guys
One of my favorite Thrice songs. 2021 Let's go.
Yes!! Me too!
If only they still made records like this….
This Album is impeccable!! 👍🏻👊🏻
2022 amazing album
Back in the day when I was listening to this record on repeat I was happy. Wish I could go back….
I picked this album up when I saw a clip of it on MTV back in 03'. I think I was a freshman in high school. Damn, almost 20yrs ago now....
20 comments??! This song is So slept on. Gets me so hyped!
Still a banger.
WARPED TOUR 2003 COMPILATION BAYBEEEEEEEE
RichaadEB
Warped tour 2003 came to Atlanta in Aug.
100 degrees of death
@@mpotts461 was there. AFI basically had heat strokes on the same stage, then Florida boys poison the well and thrice killed it, unphased
That album decided the music of my youth
I have only ever grown fonder of this album since its release
Right? 16 years later and it still fucking slaps!
Damn y'all don't grow up Lmao
@@davidsanchez-orta2782 Huh? People can't be fond of music they listened to whilst young? My parents still listen to Pink Floyd, zepplin, Lynrd skynrd ect like they did when they were young too
@@muddyhotdog4103heehee yes of course. Sorry just a random burst of meaningless ignorant sarcasm. Thrice was a preteen thing for me that’s all. When I hear it I cringe but it indeed slaps ! :)
@@davidsanchez-orta2782 haha, right on !
Still rocking thrice 8/26/2018
What a riff
2024 here. Lol those late 2000s triplets. That very same riff was all over the decade
Yeah, everyone wanted to riff like At The Gates at this time period
If you slept on Thrice since this era and wondering what they got up to, go for Hurricane. One of their greatest yet, and they have more to come there's no doubt. So good.
Thank you
Black Honey kind of rolls into Hurricane, it's so cool.
I got into Thrice because some of this sounded like a '90s Swedish melodic death metal song.... I still think it kinda does. at least a few of the riffs.
At the gates core lol
Ha lol
This is a great album...by a great band...ALOT of stuff here......
This needs to be heard by everyone!!
Man, i listened to some good music when i was 13.
I heard this on acid a few weeks ago and the feeling was so intense. Just like being a kid again, if only for 2 minutes and 41 seconds.
Been listening since 9th grade. 12 or 13 years old. Right there with ya
Then what about the other 7 hours and 48 minutes!?
@@exotitan516 same
Yes, feel the acid flowing through you, strike me down, and take your place as the rightful ruler of the galaxy...
@@thelastdragon3242 LOL. No recollection dude. This was definitely the highlight of that trip.
This album shaped my everything when it comes to making music.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse brought me here 🤘🏽
This shit is heavy, damn
Gretzky NHL 2005 Madness with this song played to amped up the adrenaline!
Under a killing moon taught me double bass
This is too nasty. Every year this album gets doper
2022 and still thirsty
So damn good 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽
How in the actual fuck are they not as big as us in the comment section think they should be??? 🎶 And watch the witches burn…BURN!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Dustin you’re one of the best voices for a lead dude all time. Much respect! 🙏🏻
they have integrity and didn't join the club
True and shoutout to hopeless records!!! 🤘🏻
When I got to this song, my booth was finally being noticed! This song was giving my fingers a good typing lesson like I took in 4th grade. Some people came to my booth only to figure out what I was singing or to chat. All I could tell was that they enjoyed being in my company
Trying to brush my hair and can't because I'm too busy headbanging....
Even though the album came out in the summer I always thought there was an icy coldness to it, reminds me of winter. Maybe it’s just me.
Great, personally it reminds me a bit of the band Fugazi, although somewhat different.
Peak fucking Thrice
No. The Illusion of Safety was peak Thrice.
@@iassessyou3285I agree with you but this album was arguably the peak of their popularity, or at least when they first started getting noticed on a large scale.
Just saw you guys in Orlando. This was amazing to hear live.
Very prophetic... Future proves past
Cheers my friends
mini chaos path of destruction!
I see this band kinda alternates between emo and metalcore, All That's Left has a more "emo"ish sound, while this song on the other hand sounds like straight up metalcore to me.
Burnout revenge
Burnout revenge was the stuff tho. I can still sit and wreck shitpixels for like 5 hours on a saturday
@@jacobwiebenga7225 It's "Lullaby"
The song that on Revenge from their 4th album "Vhiessu" (2005)
Even tho,in official playlist
They aren't featured that song
It's crazy to think Thrice used to have screaming vocals.
Coheed?
Guitar tutorial anyone?
For this, he wanted fame 😢
