"we bleed the same, Red..... blood!!" still gives me goosebumps and I been listening to this album since I was 13, upon release. Thrice NEVER gets old, this album is a pure MASTERPIECE, and couldn't have been ended any more... well, perfect. Perfect album outro to one of my favorites of all time.
Lyrics [Verse 1] Paint the target We don't need no evidence Flood the market We do it all in self defense You're a smart kid Never work without your gloves If you're a smart kid You'll stay the hell away from love [Chorus] And if it comes to murder Don't tell and we won't Ask you how you sleep at night When the lights go out and you're all alone With all the ghosts of lesser humans Whose lives you've spilt to suit your own [Verse 2] Sit and think of All the dollars and the cents And your blue blood You'll see it all makes perfect sense Drink from this cup A better life awaits us all You're one of us Remember conscience comes before the fall [Bridge 1] Your actions all are justified Your actions all are justified [Chorus] And if it comes to murder Don't tell and we won't Ask you how you sleep at night When the lights go out and you're all alone With all the ghosts of lesser humans Whose lives you've spilt to suit your own [Bridge 2] Cause it's need to know We don't need to know We don't need to know [Outro] Don't we all know life is sacred? Don't we all know we bleed the same red blood?
Thrice always has and always will be my most favorite band ever. The evolution of their sound since the early days has been perfect. I can always count on their music to pick me up when I'm down. I do however wish that you would re-release "First Impressions" so I can add that to my collection XD
Man, when this album came out I was mega over the moon WITH ETID who kept getting harder and better so I saw this as the "sell out" thrice album Well now I'm about to see them perform this album live at a venue I saw them at when this album wasn't even out yet. Man, did I miss out on a couple extra years of thrice. This album is a pure masterpiece. I still stand by the 2 most popular songs are my least favorite (aita and stare at the sun) but everything else is literally a ten. The first track sets the mood, the last track is a perfect bow on the gift that this album was. Idk what the hell happened after it but man, this is just untouchable albumwork.
Soon, I was at the end of the performamce, crying and laughing. When I had finished this song me and the server had a “Artist In the Ambulance party”, but I got disconnected. After getting disconnected, I treated myself to some pizza and told my friends about how awesome the performance was and then blacked out for 3 hours
1:20 is such a badass moment. Completely out of nowhere, rolling drums then an explosion of sound and before you know it it's already over
I got goosebumps.

I agree whole-heartedly
@@eternalrest207 Me too Daniel Bergo, me too!
Yep. The end of this song still gives me chills.
Got to meet you guys in 2006 still one of the best bands I have witnessed live you killed it at Pittsburgh! I would love an interview!!!!
Amazing how all these classic songs have become so relevant
And they'll become MORE relevant as we get closer to the 2nd coming of Christ our savior!
@@milesthompson4669 nothing better than the nightmare ends
Those melodic riffs really touch my heart.
I love the very faint scream "same red blood" you can barley hear starting at 3:26
Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Paint the target
We don't need no evidence
Flood the market
We do it all in self defense
You're a smart kid
Never work without your gloves
If you're a smart kid
You'll stay the hell away from love
[Chorus]
And if it comes to murder
Don't tell and we won't
Ask you how you sleep at night
When the lights go out and you're all alone
With all the ghosts of lesser humans
Whose lives you've spilt to suit your own
[Verse 2]
Sit and think of
All the dollars and the cents
And your blue blood
You'll see it all makes perfect sense
Drink from this cup
A better life awaits us all
You're one of us
Remember conscience comes before the fall
[Bridge 1]
Your actions all are justified
Your actions all are justified
[Chorus]
And if it comes to murder
Don't tell and we won't
Ask you how you sleep at night
When the lights go out and you're all alone
With all the ghosts of lesser humans
Whose lives you've spilt to suit your own
[Bridge 2]
Cause it's need to know
We don't need to know
We don't need to know
[Outro]
Don't we all know life is sacred?
Don't we all know we bleed the same red blood?

Their range is unmatched. They have music for every mood. The alchemy index shows this perfectly. Absolute masters of their craft.
@@overfrozen1 I completely agree.
Same here God Bless
One of the best bands to ever do it
This album feels important today
It's 2022 and I still imitate this bands guitar 🎸 riffs 🤘😎🤘
Best song on the album.
I dunno, man. I feel like the whole album was the best song on the album.

What kinds of thoughts or images passed through your consciousness during those hours?
Ain't nothing like the oldschool ;)
I miss the days when this was the jam we'd pump after school let out
Truth never ages
I feel a lot of their songs talk about the Illuminati
Anyone else feel like this song is about The Lost Boys?
Does Dustin Kensrue like taco seasoning?
he dusts his naked body with it every night before bed
ok whats the punchline
