    My favorite was the 100 on the SSL Black. That was just ferocious. Very cool vid. Thank you.

    I think youve earned yourself the tag "AUDIO ENGINEERS HATE HIM!". Youre divulging all the secrets of the pros and ive never been this excited waiting for a YT vid to drop. Keep it up man.

    I've been doing something similar lately and had no idea this was a thing.
    Definitely the clean and fat you want to hear.

    Really cool! Not sure what was co weed in the other gtrs vid since I saw this one first. Haha, bit reminds me a bit of the Andy Sneap Pultec trick. Both really cool.
    Best part of 80 on the SSL, 100 on the Manley is, whatever you have available is a great tool. All the tools are brilliant these days. Quit searching for the best one, and choose what speaks to you/works best for your workflow, because each one has its own hidden gems. Get to know it well enough to find them. That’s the fun! Thanks for another great topic, and perfectly executed vid! 🤘🏻

      That's great advice! I'll prob do a vid on the Pultec Sneap thing too, since it's a little different

    great vid!
    how do you like to pan gtrs? noticed these were LRC. what about getting doubles, quads & maybe more (gtr trx). panning is such an interesting concept to me & am always interest in how other mixers pan... esp heavy gtrs. maybe a vid idea idk.

      @@tpn4781 good idea! L-C-R is generally my fav for heavy guitars, sometimes hard L-R plus 10:00 & 2:00 for quads. I’ll also make a parallel bus with a wider spread from the SSL EV2 or similar plugin and blend that in, too.

      @@JPHenryAudio LCR + 10 & 2 makes total sense. Ah sh!t a p-bus w/ a widener...! I shldve thought of that lol (Ive one setup for my vocals doh!). Ive been putting it on the gtr bus & its just 'ok'. Appreciate the insight & advice thanks!

    Is that similar to how Pultec's are used? Cut a lot of bottom end and then add it back in, more focussed?

    • @JPHenryAudio
      @JPHenryAudio  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@RobinGrey similar, but the Pultec boost is a shelf, so it doesn’t really keep guitars tight. Works better on kick (video on that coming soon!). Actually tried it with the UAD EQP1-A to see if it worked before making this video!
