I have been following your channel. I’m doing a sympathetic preservation of my 68 KR. Although I have been giving thumbs up on videos while watching TV, I had to take a moment to write a comment. The quality of your work is excellent. The instructions you give are detailed and you demonstrate high skill and precision. You show others what a high standard job should look like. Any car coming out of your shop would undoubtedly be top shelf and run with any of the top restorers. Keep up the good work and I truly appreciate the high quality demonstrations. It makes me pull up my socks to do my best work. Cheers.
Hi Ben, your dusk rose Mustang looks so solid and strong. I know this one is a keeper for you and it’s going to be beautiful. I hope it stays safe with you all of your life until maybe you pass it on to an interested grandchild, but hopefully not for many many happy driving years to come! Bless you and stay safe young man! 👍😊🇬🇧
A guy I work with was restoring a 68 Camaro. I helped him with some stuff. I have installed seat upholstery with pretty good results. I crawled into the car and looked at the head liner. What a mess, not sure who he got to install it but it looked terrible. They also used way too much windshield and back glass adhesive also. So much that we couldn't install the clips to hold the window moldings. You make stuff look easy when in fact, it isn't One more good job, the head liner looks good in that fastback.
You know I'm not alone and wishing I could click the 'like button' a hundred times.... & not only on this video but every video you do. Just sayin'. So keep 'em coming and we'll keep a watchin'. Thanks for a great experience.
I had a 66 coupe and I put a vinyl head liner in mine I made myself, I sew right to the existing liner, I did have a problem around the back window, so I did it in 2 sections with a seam in the middle, it looked really great. Windlace is good for other things also, I had 2 deuces sticking through the hood and I used windlace around the opening I made in the hood, Looked really good
Awesome, watching you makes me feel like I kinda know what I’m doing. I’ve done a few in Mavericks,. I kinda enjoy doing them, it’s time consuming, but worth it.
Love the videos. I know you've got "before" photos of this car - would you be able to show that again for the next video? Just so we can see how far the car has come ? Thanks for all that you do!
Please consider usibg a light when you're working in the cabin of the car, weas the audience can't see what you are doing unless you provide a light source for the shot. A small underhood flourescent light bar should do the trick...😉👍
Yeah.....but if you're like me you'd probably leave the tools out, the lights on and forget to pick up after yourself.....at least that's what my wife says about me... 😆 🤣 😂
I am restoring a 1986 Mustang coupe and I installed a TMI one piece headliner. So easy and great looking with more head room. They cost a lot more than the original but for a restomod they are awesome. Wondering if you would go for this on your Mach 1 resto.
Good information about this your advice will be useful when I put in my headliner thumbs up one question say again where you got your headliner from thank 👍
watched all your mustang restoration vids great job. need some parts for my 69 fastback from what supplier do you order you dynacorn parts from ? thanks for the great content cant wait until you finish the 69 rear quarters
Perfect timing! Me and my 13 yr old son are working on a 66 coupe and finishing up welding in the floors. Headliner is on the list. As well as the cowl replacement Ugh. What adhesive did you use?
Hello where you located i hVe a 63 ford falcon. I need headliner and glass installed it has a roll cage. Im in Atlanta Georgia area. Ill traiker it if you are interested
I’ve never even owned a Ford, but love this channel. The work that is done is amazing.
He makes it look tempting to own one...doesn't he?
I did headliner on a 67 fastback 20 years ago, and this is how I did it as well. Turned out very nicely on my car, no wrinkles anywhere.

I haven't done a headliner since I was at Vo-Tech in 1966! What a blast from the past! Thanks.
I’m glad I found your video, nice job and very good tips on the install, thank you!
Did a headliner on a 67 coupe years ago--should have waited for this video. Needs lots of patience. Your work is always top notch thanks
That rod detail is the difference between a nice smooth headliner and a 'stretched' to fit looking headliner.
This was great! Gives me confidence to try on my own. I was quoted 1k w/parts

Interesting. Something I"ll probably never try, but fun to see how it's done. Audio was great, Thanks for that.
The headliner bows go into the "LISTING"
Nice job I just did my 71 fastback with your pointers and it came out great thank you
Man you do it all yourself a rare find
Lovely job as usual. Great video and a talented man.
Really nice looking once you got it done. Very satisfying to see the final product. Great job!
Too dark to see what you're doing in the car. Maybe add a light inside so we can see. Otherwise, awesome job and cool '67 'Stang.
HOT dog.... Just what I needed before leaving for work !
Incredible work, Ben!

Metal binder clips (looks like a chip clip for paper) also work great to hold the headliner in place.
Great job explaining a somewhat difficult install. I think you nailed it. Thanks
You are a very talented man.
Great job. The end result looks awesome 👌
Thank for showing us. I am getting close to doing mine. Thanks for the tips on doing it.
Great work as usual Ben, thanks for the how to, from Brisbane Queensland Australia

He's got the before videos on the entire up to date build. Kinda nice too he's keeping this one and showing beyond just the metal...
@@Rev22-21 Thanks! I'm enjoying the progress he's made. l'm pleased he taking the build all the way to completion.
Very informative, showed what to look for thanks
Very nice job.
Love it. This car is going to be awesome
Awesome would love to see you do a convertible top
Windlace trick is how I’ve always done it.

I'm 60 and open for adoption. Not in diapers "yet" and I feed myself. Your garage can be my play pen. My wife thanks you in advance.

@@Rev22-21 Then our wives know each other, lol

I'm not a fan of them, I like the original style myself
@@petersonrestorations Fair enough.
Like the assembly process details. Please video your work.

Thanks for the great information !👍👍😎
Thanks for the demo
If you get a slight wrinkle use a blow dryer and spray bottle with water
You should use the flashlight on a mobile or something to see the interior roof.
Thanks, enjoyed
Good job
You should try this in a complete car with only back glass out!
watched all your mustang restoration vids great job. need some parts for my 69 fastback from what supplier do you order you dynacorn parts from ? thanks for the great content cant wait until you finish the 69 rear quarters
What glue are you using? Thanks for showing how to do this!
Perfect timing! Me and my 13 yr old son are working on a 66 coupe and finishing up welding in the floors. Headliner is on the list. As well as the cowl replacement Ugh. What adhesive did you use?
OK - see where you mentioned the adhesive.
Nice job man! Are 65 / 66 fastbacks the same with the retention rods on the rear bow?
Yes
How long do you let it set after gluing before trimming and taking the clips off?
I would wait a couple days just to be sure, I believe the glue says cures 100% in 72 hours
Nice
