A lot of good information and options depending on the source of income. Personally, I'm looking at north coastal towns or small cities in the north. Thank you for placing the link to Marina.
I've been looking eeeeeverywhere for the income requirements and if passive income/rental applies. After 20 thousand hours of videos watched i'm so glad i found this video! you guys asked this question so directly lol!! thanks for this!!
U.S. and Spain have already worked out a Totalization Agreement to address social security tax issues for individuals working between the two countries. This agreement helps prevent double taxation on social security contributions and ensures that workers are only required to pay into one country’s system at a time. Under this agreement: • Temporary Assignments: If an employee is temporarily sent to Spain for less than five years, they can continue paying into the U.S. Social Security system, and Spain will exempt them from its contributions. • Permanent Assignments: For longer stays or permanent relocations, employees may need to contribute to Spain’s social security system instead of the U.S., depending on their employment arrangement and visa status. This agreement simplifies social security issues, ensuring that U.S. citizens working remotely from Spain, such as those on a digital nomad visa, are covered by only one social security system, avoiding double payments . Would you please confirm if this information is correct and will it be applicable to USA w-2 employees who want to work remotely from Spain?
Hello, thanks for the video, very informative! ❤ as I understand this visa is not a fit for drop-shippers and content creators since you need to show the company registration from the clients…
Thank you. Yes, that's probably correct. However, there may be a way to apply for a visa as the owner of your own business. We recommend reaching out to a professional for help.
Very helpful video! If I'm self employed, does the end date of my contract matter? Let's say the contract length is 1 year but it ends 6 months from now. Does this affect the visa length?
Im a full-time employee for a company and allowed to work remotely from Spain if I choose to. However, im not a "contractor" for this company. I read somewhere that you have to be a contractor, not a full-time employee. True?
From what we've heard it's complicated. Even though you can work anywhere, you might need more paperwork or qualifications to work in Spain. I'd book a call with Marina at Bureaucracy.es to see if your specific work situation qualifies.
Hello! Thank you for the excellent videos! We are retired educators interested in exploring Spain. Since I am retired from teaching but still teach a few online courses each semester, I am looking at both the Digital Nomad Visa and the Non-Lucrative Visa. Which path would you recommend? DNV or the NLV for Spain? Gracias!! Dean & Cindy
You probably qualify for both. The DNV has a very high minimum payment but your retirement stipend may help tip the scales. If your teaching is minimal and doesn't pay very much, the NLV could work. We recommend chatting with Marina. She can help you pick the right visa. Thanks for watching!
I came europe with schengen visit visa in netherland may I apply my income more then 3K a months. now I am living portugal I don't have trc only have my country passport?
Thanks, Marina said on this visa youd need to stay in Spain for 10 years to get oernanet citizenship and a passport, if youre form the US. Do you know if its the same for UK citizens?
Your videos are very helpful , Thank you , what about student visas , is there specific age or conditions ? I would like to to learn Spanish in spain And eventually move to Spain Thx
Wait. So you have to be an independent contractor? What if you’re a full time permanent employee that works remotely? Also, you have to have 85 IN SAVINGS alone to get approved? Did I hear that correctly?
You can be a full time permanent remote employee, it's just a much more complicated application. You don't need the savings, that's an aspect of the application, but not necessary. We recommend talking with Marina. She knows all the things about this visa.
@@creoleladisallthatjazznblu6952 They don't use their TH-cam. The best way is to contact them on their website. The link is in the video description. Good luck
It depends on your current country of employment. If you are in the UK, applying as an employee is very doable (assuming your employer is ok with it...). If you are in the US, applying as an employee is a lot harder. It means that your employer would need to register to pay social security for you in Spain, which is costly
just a small question: i am right now in Latvia on a student visa. my course will end next year march 15, 2025. i want to move to spain on work visa (but i am not sure if i can get a job there) the company that i am working right now has a different branch that offers remote working (it is based in the US), the salary is not fixed and it is commission based (basically its a sales job). am i still eligible for digital nomad visa? thank u :)
You become tax resident (means you need to pay taxes) if you spend 183 or more days in Spain from what I have read in the internet, before that you don't pay taxes I think because you are looked like you are on vacation . But I am not 100% sure
Thank you so much for this. Can applicants enter Spain with their first-world passport then apply for DNV in Spain with their ex-colony passport, to be able to apply for SP citizenship after 2 years of residence? Thank you.
@@DaysWeSpend thank you so much for your reply. If you could ask Marina in your next video, that would be super helpful to the people in the same boat. Cheers guys! 🫶🏼

Us too! It’s easy to see what you need to get your visa.
Any chance your immigration expert will be doing a breakdown of golden visas?
Thanks
We’ll ask her about doing that one next.

So we don’t need proof of accommodation for the visa….only for the residency appt?
It’s so sad that USA W-2 employees can’t apply.
Excelente preguntas 👍👏
Muchas gracias!
If you work as an independent contractor, can you still get paid time off and holidays in Spain specifically or would that not be possible?
Do you have any reviews, you make for someone visa already
What's requirements from my clients, because i am a seo expert, my clients is a person, not a company and we have contract for 3 year.
love your writing and videos. Just curious if NLV allows you trade stocks in US brokerage accounts?
Thank you! As far as we know, you can trade stocks since it's usually considered passive income.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for watching!

It's a lot easier too. That or many extra steps/headache... (only from online research, not an expert)

Can I work in Spain with this visa like a delivery or something. Thanks
Just wondering how you picked the part of country you’re living in ? Is it cheaper or better . Love your videos so informative well done.
Thanks so much. We've visited Galicia many times and we really liked it. The cost of living here fit our budget and we don't mind the rain.

Sorry, we aren't sure it's the same for UK citizens, but we'd imagine it is. This is a Spain requirement, not a USA requirement (as far as we know).
Do you need the visa if you're looking to remote work for a UK company, from a property in spain for 28 days? Or does Schengen cover that?
For 28 days in Spain, you won't need a work visa.

For 1 person how much
