Immutability is one of God’s attributes. God doesn’t change Who He is at His core, but He does sometimes change course. This is usually in response to how people and circumstances change.
Has God changed His opinion on marriage and sexuality? I believe the burden of proof is on anyone who says He has.
I don’t think this book lays out any good arguments. I agree that the authors’ position seems to be predicated on personal feelings and is not in submission to God’s revealed Word on the subject. They are practicing exegetical gymnastics.

Maybe 2yrs later all the SSA went away. All of it! After years of fighting, praying, the spiritual warfare which I could feel and was scary at times, it all went away. Gos is so good and so faithful! I love my daughter, but she is the poster child for how this behavior goes hand in hand with behavioral sink. It's not just the same sex relationship. She has no foundation. She is fragile. She can't trust herself, because she doesn't tell herself the truth. I gave her a foundation, and she refused it, and I will do her no favors by jumping into the foundationless void with her.

By now, every time we raise the question all over again, it seems to suggest that we are still deliberating the issue, which is just false: we aren't. For people who think it is cruel to expect someone to remain celibate because they are only attracted to the same sex, I have a couple of questions for you. Is it also cruel to expect an unmarried person who has not found a partner to remain celibate? What about someone like myself who was married to a man who suffered from severe dementia for the last eight years of his life and was unable to participate in sexual activity. Should I have been free to dishonour my marriage vows and be excused if I felt the need to commit adultery? He passed away four years ago and I am still a widow. Should I engage in sex outside of marriage if I don't meet someone who is interested in marriage? Sex is great and I enjoyed very much having a healthy sex life, but I have found that when there is no righteous way of fulfilling that desire, God gives me grace to simply not "awaken desire before its time." I for one can assure you that it is only a struggle if you allow your thoughts to dwell on sex when there is no way to have sex without sinning.

We must always share Truth -- in 2008, I was a gay-identified man, in a committed, monogamous same-sex relationship, active in an affirming church, where we called ourselves gay Christians. Then I found myself in an ICU where the medical team classified me clinically dead after a 22-minute flatline. I experienced death, judgement and hell. When I couldn’t take any more demonic torment, I cried out in repentance, “Jesus!” and I heard the Savior say, “I am here.” At that moment, I saw with my eyes the Wind of the Holy Spirit fill myself ICU and with great power, He pick up Satan and the demonic and blew them out of the room. On that day, my life changed, the redemptive Blood of Jesus cleared my mind of perversion and completely healed and restored every failing organ. Glory to God!

Pretty good video on the whole. I see you sparked a debate in the comments as to whether God changes His mind or not. You're right that it's a topic of debate by many scholars for decades. If not centuries. But that doesn't stop the overnight internet theologians from weighing in on the matter. And, as usual, the comments only serve to show that most haven't studied the issue nor actually put much thought into it.
I may have missed it but I heard the phrase "sexual orientation" mentioned a few time and I don't recall that being addressed. If I recall correctly, Sean gives that merit. I'm curious as to whether Rebecca does? I don't. Here's why:
One's sexuality is much like a compass. A compass has a Creator. Just like a human does. The Creator of a compass has "oriented" the compass to always point to the north. So any compass will point north as it is supposed to do UNLESS someone brings it near a magnet. Then one can make the compass point any direction it wants to or spin wildly outta control. God never changes and His Word remains the same. It is the only compass that always points to true north.
God is the Creator and He has created Man to be oriented to Woman and vice versa. SIN is the magnet that draws one's sexuality away from its true direction and "orientation".

I think their number one problem is that they start with the conclusion, or what they want to be true. And then they abuse philosophy, theology, and the Bible itself to get there. They don't start with, "what does the Bible say?" And then decide how to line their lives up accordingly. The extremely dangerous position they put themselves in is that of gods themselves judging the one true God.

I love your ministry very much. I'm 13 and I ask you to please continue this for the sake of teenagers and young people like me.
I was wondering if you could you please create a video defending Christian sexual ethics. I've been struggling with a lot of people saying that Christian sexual ethics is about a bunch of prudes trying to make people suppress their sexuality. I've been struggling with p*rn, and my whole Christian worldview. I have lots of questions. I know God is real and the Bible is true. But I have other questions concerning culture. Are Christians bigots when they reject LGBTQ ideology?
Are we prudes when we say wait for marriage?

I am in my 50s and still recovering and untangling from the lies I was told about the Bible and Christianity as a teenager and younger adult, and on into my early 40s. I am now very grateful I didn’t die in my rebellion and sin.
The Bible really does hold the answers that you need. From my own experience, sex with anyone outside of marriage causes damage in multiple ways. It leads to bondage, not freedom. Sean has more content that may be of help to you.
The “best life” really is living with Jesus as “Lord” (the one to whom you submit in all your ways) because he is completely trustworthy and only has your very best at heart. Disobedience may seem “better”, but there is *always* a cost that is often hidden in the moment, and the devil (who has been a liar from the beginning) is out to destroy you or make you ineffective in your witness to The Good News. 🕊️Ten reasons why matrimony itself proves that homosexuality is in fact a sin⬇️:
1️⃣What did our Father say in reference to matrimony❓
🕊️”Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24
2️⃣Did Jesus reaffirm our Father’s view on matrimony❓
🕊️”He answered, “Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one’?” Matthew 19:4-5
3️⃣Did the Holy Spirit who spoke through the Apostles reaffirm our Father’ & Jesus’ view on matrimony❓
🕊️“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” Ephesians 5:31
4️⃣Is Jesus’ example of love separate from an individual’s immorality❓
🕊️”And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is fitting among saints.” Ephesians 5:2-3
5️⃣Do the works of the flesh pertain to immorality❓
🕊️“Now the works of the flesh are plain: immorality, impurity, licentiousness,” Galatians 5:19
6️⃣How does immorality pertain to sex specifically❓
🕊️“For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like heathens who do not know God;” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
      7️⃣Why should we avoid immorality❓
🕊️”Shun immorality. Every other sin which a man commits is outside the body; but the immoral man sins against his own body.” 1 Corinthians 6:18
8️⃣Under what condition is immorality permitted❓
🕊️”But because of the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.” 1 Corinthians 7:2
9️⃣Is immorality outside of matrimony idolatry❓
🕊️”Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” Colossians 3:5
🔟Were we warned about certain people who would gain admission to our Father’s church and pervert the grace of our Father into licentiousness❓
🕊️“Beloved, being very eager to write to you of our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. For admission has been secretly gained by some who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Now I desire to remind you, though you were once for all fully informed, that he who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels that did not keep their own position but left their proper dwelling have been kept by him in eternal chains in the deepest darkness until the judgment of the great day; just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise acted immorally and indulged in unnatural lust, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire. Yet in like manner these men in their dreamings defile the flesh, reject authority, and revile the glorious ones.” Jude 1:3-8
In conclusion to homosexuality, not only can we conclude that our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit who spoke through the Apostles clarify matrimony between heterosexuals but further stated that immorality was only permitted through heterosexual matrimony. If immorality is only permitted between heterosexuals then by default, immorality & matrimony between homosexuals is not only sinful but contradicts our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit who spoke through the Apostles‼️
Even though we know more now about sexual orientations, who will dare claim our Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit who spoke through the Apostles knew less if they know past, present and future⁉️
🚨Any deacon, priest, bishop, cardinal or even the pope himself who contradicts scripture are by default wolves in sheep’s clothing‼️
🕊️”As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels I charge you to keep these rules without favor, doing nothing from partiality.” 1 Timothy 5:20-21‼️
🕊️”For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the Church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5:12-13‼️

Much love, and thank you both for painstaking work and efforts. Elephant in the living room on offering your first born to God means child sacrifice? Hanna and Samual. She hardly had him sacrificed, but placed him in the hands of the priests to live among them. Not that that is always the meaning, but that Hanna's agreement with God was the extreme version and God's plan for the destiny of one of God's greatest prophets. He didn't die as a child but was an anointed two kings level prophet of God, a man of total commitment. Not only this but he honored Hanna with additional children, honering her offering of Samuel to God in his service not in his being killed. I also associate Samson, as a near opposite case, dedicated to God not sacrificed and yet an unfaithful man the majority of his life. Elizabeth and Zacharia about John, etc. Clearly God is the same yesterday, and never condoned, let alone commanded child sacrifice in physical death, in fact he repeatedly openly condemned it, one of the signs of Isreals decline and falling away from God at times.

All this discussion about accepting gay rights and marriage is based on the assumption that homosexuality is neutral or good for the people involved in it and society at large. I don't believe God would have forbidden it if that was so. God's laws protect and provide for us. Our overly self centered society thinks we are helping people by accepting their carnal passions. Perhaps some people feel better because society accepts them, but are we really helping them? And what is this doing to our society? The more we accept homosexuality the more it seems to grow as does other deviant self destructive behaviors. It's clear homosexuality doesn't promote the survival of the species, so just what are its benefits to people and society in general? If we truly love people we don't encourage behavior which is destructive to them and society.
What do Greek and Hebrew scholars know about mental and/or cultural health? They start with the uncritical assumption it's not potentially problematic. I agree we should have compassion for people struggling with any type of sin, even sexual attraction God condems. But I don't think saying their temptations are okay. God calls all of us to sexual purity which for the unmarried includes chastity.

I was trying to make that point in a discussion I got involved in on facebook, but I certainly didn't express it as well as she did. I was trying to express that we are all sinners and are all correct, and therefore we all need to sacrifice that Jesus made in order to achieve salvation, but I don't think people got my point.

God is the same today, as he was yesterday, and will be forever *UNCHANGING* . He calls same-sex anything an abomination . He HATES it. Why? Because it is all based on PLEASURE AND LUST. Not based on the function of marraige which is to PROCREATE.
What future comes from a same sex union? NONE because it CANT make a future.
In fact we are literally told that if we are offended by a brother or sister For Sinning, we first go to that person and explain why, then if they do not repent, we take it to two other members of the church, and if they still refuse to Repent, we take it to the head of the church, who is to CAST THEM OUT do that their body be destroyed by the devil and hope that their soul may be saved ( how? By choosing to REPENT.)
This new age theological stuff has NO PLACE within the traditions of the Church. The REAL Church is the same as it has always been, has not added to or changed tradition ( aka NOT CATHOLIC), does not elevate anyone above another and stays the same as God Stays the same, 2000 years and the church is still the same church and it is open to all to come and see, there is only Orthodoxy, the narrow gate.

I don't think of Christianity in terms of congregation and church leaders anymore. I now think of Christianity in terms of the medieval anchorite/hermit/recluse and the believers who admire them. The church building and congregation are in 'the thick of the world and worldliness' (commercial areas). In contrast, the Kingdom, is in the wildness areas at the fringe of urban existence; where the people found Jesus (during His earthly ministry).

There are epidemic levels of pwn use, coercion and marital rape and misogyny within many churches. Frankly, this is the real problem. Instead we say "nothing to see here, look over there".

When people think there is nothing wrong with their behavior, or are in fact proud of it..
How are they ever going to seek God's forgiveness if they think God is alright with it? The way to be saved is to humble yourself, admit you are a sinner and accept the good news of the Gospel. You don't do that when you don't see yourself as a sinner..
If the doctor doesn't tell the patient they are severely ill, knowing that they will die without treatment.. Why would they want to take the medicine that would guarantee to save their life?
Sure it's not fun to hear you are about to die from a terrible disease, but it is neccesary to get someone to actually accept the cure.
Jude 1:3 Save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
The truth is what sets people free. And the truth is that they are sick sinners in need of forgiveness, and that they need to humble themselves to accept God's free gift of salvation, to be saved. We need to speak the truth in love; with the right intentions; to snatch them out of the fire, with patience and grace and love.
You don't love others by letting them continue their path to self destruction without warning them. Their souls are in danger. Do you think they would be thankful when they are in hell, wondering why you never even bothered to warn them?

Same old misuse of that scripture. We are called to judge those within. We must be willing to be judged by the same standard. God was very clear that He made man and woman for one another only. Judging by the Scriptures, those practicing homosexual sin are "not fit for the kingdom of God." People want to make God in our own image rather than try to mold ourselves into His image. The reason we can believe God never changes is due to the fact that we as His children must be able to have faith in His Word. Yes, God is just and merciful, but we must remember He can also be a God of vengeance.

A deeper understanding and respect for the doctrine of the ''sin nature'' is what I think is a missing part of this very difficult topic of homosexuality and transgenderism, etc...
If you are open to the idea of what the sin nature that mankind is born with (according to a certain christian worldview primarily an evangelical world veiw ) than you are
in a much better position to understand, how the sin nature has spread like a virus through-out humanity's history, and resulted in very unexpected consquences
in a very random fashion through-out history:
Now please stay with me, I know many of you probably think that the sin nature topic discussion has nothing to do with our physical anatomy including our
hormones and biological chemistry, but I think now in the modern world, this has become a much harder argument to make. I personally think the sin nature, like a
progressive virus, has been building and building in strength since the Flood of Noah. I wish I coud articulate this opinion better. If anyone responds I'll try and follow up,
but when ''gay people, and transgender people often say, why did God make me this way'' I would say , our response to them in the last 25 years, should have been different,
and we should have been more open to the possibilty that the sin nature of mankind was causing stronger than usual physcial influences on people from birth,
yes I said ''from birth'' toward unnatural attractions, and identity imbalances in people hormonally.
What I'm suggesting is not really all that far fetched, if you stop to remember that through-out humanity , some people have been extremely prone to other types of moral defects,
outside of sexual ones, like strong pride, or strong anger, these are all manifestation's I think of the sin nature of mankind running like an unchecked virus, and as the world system's and
people in general have become far less spiritual and comitted in there search for truth and christianity, the sin nature of mankind is wreaking havoc spordically on the
actual anatomy and chemistry of mankind, manifesting in strange sexual deviations.

Man and woman marrying are performing a ritual where they spiritually represent God's love for Israel, Christ's love for His church. Even unbelievers, and Christians whose marriages are broken, are still doing this because God invented marriage, and He makes the two one flesh, just as Jesus took on human flesh for His bride.
God takes these sorts of physical enactments of spiritual realities seriously: remember when God told Moses to ask the rock for water, when he had previously told him to strike it? But Moses got mad and struck the rock the second time, thus ruining the picture God was painting where the rock (Jesus) would be struck (sacrificed/chastised) once and become a source a life-giving water for His people, and thereafter the water would flow for the asking. Because Moses disobeyed God the second time, God did not allow him to enter the Promised Land. It was serious.
      Marriage is serious.

People should think for a moment: how would be heaven for the rest of eternity? what do people think that heaven will be?
As far as i can tell you, in those 2 and half years away from bad friendship and lgbt media, also self aware of my own limitations and temptations around same sex, you are defined by what you do and inner thoughts you accept. God can read hearts.
If you have a colourful flag, it tells your neigbor your mindset and life style, without even telling anyonw.. How holiness enter your life, if you share or defend same sex "marriage"? How to not quote Paul's quote against the sodomites and feminine man you will never go against it? also for woman, same sex "love" relation and omission to give advice against it?
Being Christian + being affirmative in LGBT group is either someone in the wall or someone that is liberal and dont care about leaving others to salvation, or even thinks salvation suffices by "just believing" but not obbeying the recomendations the Church always gifted since the apostles.
You can be eunuc for the reing of heaven, if you think you will never get a opposite sex partner, no one should oblige you to marry someone. IT's also easier by the words of Apostle Paul, the life of sinlge, as you will give more time to God, and not divide time with your husband/wife and family.

If you read the Bible carefully, those instances where God changes His mind, like Sodom and Gomorrah, wanting to destroy the Israelites in the desert and Nineveh, was because of intervention of someone pleading mercy. Abraham pleaded to spare the cities if there are ten righteous people, so God agreed. Moses pleaded for the Israelites, reminding God of the covenant, and after Nineveh repented, God forgave them. He doesn't change His mind on a whim, but it was the people who begged Him to change His mind.
