Unexpected fireplace makeover

Unexpectedly replacing our fireplace and revamping the area around it 3 months after moving into our house. I tried masonry and angle grinding for the first time which was a whole lot of fun.

We have been watching a lot of people on TH-cam buying a house in Sweden and doing it up and then it showed us yours.
You have the prettiest house I have seen there so far. Love that the garage is under the house.
