@@marycage7075 you literally know nothing about violin do you? If you knew anything you would know that you’re not supposed to be putting your entire personality in your playing because it will hinder the intention of the composer. Hana has better tone than Maria and while Maria may be more expressive, even so to such a high degree, that’s also why she got kicked out of the previous competitions she was in. Don’t you dare say that Hana is playing like a “student” compared to Maria. Any trained violinist as well as the judges can tell you that Hana has a clearer sound than Maria and that her interpretations are also more aligned with the composers’ intention. Educate yourself.
Thank you Rike for the information. What I have seen so far with the competitors, haveing Chloe compete wouldn't be fair to them. She is so far advanced with her talent.
That doesn’t even make any sense. Competition this year in the junior division is much more cut-throat and competitive than in Chloe’s year. Everyone plays so flawlessly, I don’t think you know what you’re talking about.

@@marycage7075 You are literally so ignorant, I can’t tell whether you’re biased or just stupid. Hana plays more accurately and clearly than Maria. You think that expression and personality is what solely defines the best violinist? Hana’s precision, clarity, and degree of perfection is what’s going to get her the first prize. Don’t you dare say that Maria is light years beyond Hana. Any trained violinist would disagree with you. You’ve got nothing better to do than bash on people who aren’t your faves even when you know absolutely nothing.
This is certainly a fine technical level, but it sounds restrained IMHO in comparison, lacking Maria’s respect of the overall musical structure (particularly the long harmonic lines in Bach) and her temperament.
@@robertsalles2552 no it doesn’t sound restrained, you just think it does because of the visuals. If we just heard the audio without the video it’s clear that Hana has the better tone. Many people didn’t like Maria’s interpretation of Paganini and Bach because it wasn’t aligned with the composer’s intentions. I wish you would be speaking from the point of view from a real violinist but you’re clearly not one.
I disagree all of the finalists have a fair shot. In my own opinion, Karisa Chiu has the best contemporary interpretations, Maria has the best Mozart/Classical (out of the competition), and Hana is sort of in-between both. I don't Maria because she sacrifices clarity and historically accurate interpretation for a more "firey performance".
Chloe cannot compete in this year's junior division, because she's already won it once; such are the rules of the competition. And she isn't old enough to take part in the senior division.

I actually made this video for Hana :) I enjoy working with her. She is a very talented and gifted artist. I wish her the best!!!
The acoustics are amazing! Video is well shot too! Great job!
This young lady sets the bar as high as anyone I've seen in the field. Exceptional talent!
She had me hooked after the first note. Gorgeous tone!
The bach was incredible! Wonderful acoustics as well, would love to see herake it to semis!
she made it to semis
The third movement of the Bach sonata 3 was a little rushed in my opinion.
@@ilovemycatrussell9298I thought the tempo was great!
Beautiful tone and control. Very clean movements in the allegro section. I’d thoroughly enjoyed your performance. All the best!
I really like her bow control and her tone , so clean and rich. Bravo!

@@Viewer13128 Duenas.
Agree!
@@marycage7075 True, as an Artist I'd also agree that Maria Duenas, is nothing to be conpared with other contestants.

Bin beinahe 24 Stunden am lauschen. Kann es etwas schöneres, geheimnisvolleres geben was bei J.S. Bach zu entdecken gibt? !

Is Chole Chua performing this year, if so, will she be at the senior level? Thank you
She will perform this year but as a guest :) Same with Christian Li.

Maybe 1 parent from Singapore, 1 parent from Japan, and currently a US citizen?
