So it turns out they escaped possession because the egg was covered with obsidian. Later on in this stream, Skeppy broke one block of obsidian surrounding the Egg, and Bad, Ant and Puffy became possessed by it again. The Egg appears to have no effect on Skeppy though, who still wants to destroy it.
To let Skeppy bond with the Egg, Bad, Ant and Puffy leave him alone in the Statue Room where the Egg is located. While they were away, Skeppy then covered the Egg completely in obsidian, which broke the mind control. Bad, Ant and Puffy are once again no longer possessed by the Egg and mined away the rest of the Blood Vines in the room and around the server. However, Skeppy is now trapped inside the obsidian covered Egg. Whether this was by accident or on purpose, I am not sure.
Bad theorizes that the people who got possessed by the Egg are the same ones who helped him mine out the Statue Room. Sam never helped him mine out the room; hence he didn't get possessed by the Egg. By mining out the Statue Room, they likely awoke something dormant.
At 1:46 Bad and Puffy start mining the Blood Vines.
At 3:28 Ant is convinced to mine the Blood Vines.
Was he tho? To me it felt like Skeppy was getting drowsy around the egg. Why would he enclose himself in the egg before the other leave him be? I don't think he even asked them to go, they decided to leave him with the egg to bound.
To me, it sounds like two ways:
-Either in a flash of lucidity, Skeppy decided to put the obsidian back, but therefore trapping himself in.
-Skeppy want the egg for himself.
He cocoon himself within the egg.
*He want all the vibes in one place.*

Hmm... your theory seems correct but Bad’s is a bit incorrect. For instance, Ranboo helped mine out the room with Bad but he doesn’t seem to be effected by the egg. I agree with everything else though🤔
@@meowzer4934 I didn't know Ranboo also helped Bad mine out the room! I wonder why certain people will get possessed by this thing while others don't. I still feel it's connected to the Statue Room because that's where it started.
@@Indigo-Haze yeah, I didn’t really know either until I saw a clip of him helping out on Bad’s stream! It’s really confusing, but I hope we get an answer about it sometime and hopefully they don’t leave us to just theorize lol 😅😂🤔
HOW CREEPY IT WAS LATER THOUGH HOW THEY'RE ALL YELLING *DON'T UNCOVER THE EGG* AND WHEN SKEPPY EXPOSES ONE BLOCK THEY ALL GO SILENT AND JUST STAND THERE AND THEN TELL HIM TO LEAVE AND THEY ALL CONTINUE ONCOVERING IT-

Dream actually said that Techno’s only writing the stuff that goes on with his character, so I think this whole thing comes from Bad!
@@samg5601 Yeah I agree! Techno is writing his own character how he wants. However, this part of the script is most likely written by Bad and other Badland's members, since they have the most involvement in this storyline!
@@samg5601 well keep in mind the script is never run by just one person. Its always been a joint effort so while technoblade is mostly in charge the others still get a say

Yes! To really summarize, Skeppy broke a block of obsidian right after this clip. Ant, Bad and Puffy became possessed by the Egg again. However, while the others were away, Skeppy then covered the Egg with obsidian, and it broke the mind control.

Basically it needs a solid wall to cover it so it won’t infected or control anyone. And yes, it did controlled them again. How? Well skeppy broke a single block which made it them love it again. But skeppy cover it again but he got stuck in the process and I think that is everything you need to know.

It’s another arc completely? Because the main storyline won’t progress for a while whilst Tommys in exile, it’s not necessary to watch this storyline, because it has nothing to do with the main one, so don’t watch it. There’s new writers not that Wilbur isn’t the main writer, it’s Dream, Tommy and Techno, they’re new to this and it’s their first time doing it, give them a break dude.
They should learn something from Techno, such bad acting
