How to beat Chapter 13 [Triangle Strategy Guide] Born of Strife and Sadness

- Born of Strife and Sadness (Securing Whiteholm Bridge) is a hard chapter, Serenoa starts off being flanked by both Thalas and Erika's forces. To win this battle I think it helps to pacify the boss characters while focusing down the common enemies.

I rushed two archers up the ladders and the AI had no idea what to do with them. Everyone died but them and I literally killed all of them with two archers lmao.

I really didn't see any other way to win this. Happy to see he uses a less cheesy strat here that works. ^^
Just finished this battle. I split my team in half and spread them to the 2 sides, then rushed the ladders on the sides, surrounded the bottoms with melee characters with a healer and spellcaster behind them, and only left space for one enemy to come down at a time on each side. Took forever but I only lost erador, while he was drawing fire while everyone else got into position.
hilariously, a well-placed spring trap can actually send thalas off the bridge on his first move which basically removes him as a problem for like 3-4 turns
of course it's up to chance if he'll take the bait but it's really funny when it works
anyway ty for the guide, this mission is overwhelming at first

Nice strat! I was actually trying something similar, but instead of sleeps and taunts I was using traps and pushes to throw them off the bridge, but it didn't work. What actually worked was rushing down the shieldbearers with frederica's pilar of fire and finishing all of them off, since on that side there isn't much damage coming, then I would fight the other ones more easily. I didn't actually use any items but ended up with only serenoa, hughette and geela alive

I'm having a problem where I tried all the answers to follow Roland's path, but I can't at all. I tried to do many battles to increase conviction and the same scenario still persists. could you give me any tips?
If you are have the choice of spring trap direction, isn't it better to throw enemies off the bridge than throw them at each other?
