So, would you like to know where I stand on Palestine? I think we are in the stickiest of situations, most of us Israelis feel helpless and scared and done for. I think both sides, Israelis and Palestinians deserve to live better and with security. I think our hostages (all 120 of them) deserve and should come home. I think families deserve to reunite with their loved ones and deserve a chance to start healing. I think both sides deserve better leadership. I also think that in a music festival (much like the Nova Festival, that was interrupted by a mass of terrorists who slaughtered and raped and kidnapped the Festival Goers) artists should promote peace and love and offer a place of solace (like Chris Martin did, btw), and won’t promote hatred and divisiveness or gaslight part of their fan base, like you did Damon.
Let me tell you what’s unfair: you forgetting that war has two sides. You forgetting that hundreds were slaughtered and raped and kidnapped in a music festival, just like this one, by Palestinians, you forgetting that there are Israelis and Jews in the crowd that are directly affected by this war that you decided to ignore and make them feel unsafe and uncomfortable and the fact that you forgot that music is intended to heal the hearts and build bridges and you just spread hate. I don’t think anyone is forgetting that people were kidnapped, but they wouldn’t have been kidnapped had their government not committed war crimes and human rights abuses daily for decades while Israelis joined the IDF dutifully, and did nothing. It’s not a conflict, it’s never been a conflict. Until Israelis realise that, there is no resolution. It’s an invasion, an occupation, mass land theft, mass murder, for decades upon decades.
